  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Meets challenge in high-scoring win

Thompson stopped 36 of 40 shots in Thursday's 7-4 win over the Mammoth on Thursday.

Thompson gave up three goals in the first period, but he was sharper over the final 40 minutes. The Capitals followed suit, giving him enough support with an Alex Ovechkin hat trick and a two-goal game by Ivan Miroshnichenko highlighting the effort. Thompson has had a shaky March, going 4-4-2 despite allowing just 24 goals over 289 shots (.917 save percentage). For the season, he's up to 25-20-6 with a 2.40 GAA and a .914 save percentage over 51 starts. The Capitals wrap up this road trip in Vegas on Saturday.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Can't keep team in wild-card spot

Ullmark made 35 saves in a 4-3 shootout loss to Pittsburgh on Thursday.

Ullmark is 7-2-3 in 12 starts since the Olympic break. Ottawa is now one point behind the Islanders for the second wild-card playoff spot from the Eastern Conference. Ullmark's season has been the worst of his career. His .888 save percentage is well below both his career mark of .914 and his worst NHL season (2019-19, Buffalo), and his 2.75 GAA is well above his 2.57 career average.

  • Devin Cooley G | CGY

Flames' Devin Cooley: Done in by buzzer-beater

Cooley allowed three goals on 33 shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Ducks.

Cooley's nemesis in this game was Mikael Granlund, who erased both of the Flames' leads and scored at 4:59 of overtime. This was still a decent outing for Cooley, but he wasn't able to extend his winning run to three games. The 28-year-old netminder slipped to 9-9-5 with a 2.51 GAA and a .915 save percentage over 27 appearances. He's alternating starts with Dustin Wolf currently, and if that trend continues, it'll be Wolf at home versus the Canucks on Saturday before Cooley would be tasked with a tough road matchup in Colorado on Monday.

  • Ville Husso G | ANA

Ducks' Ville Husso: Comes away with overtime win

Husso stopped 23 of 25 shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Flames.

Husso didn't have a lead to protect at any point in regulation. Mikael Granlund twice answered Flames goals, and he scored at 4:59 of overtime to secure the win. Husso is up to 9-7-1 with a 3.06 GAA and an .895 save percentage over 17 appearances this season. If he can secure one more victory this season, he'll get to double digits for the first time since 2022-23 with the Red Wings. Lukas Dostal is likely to get the nod Saturday in Edmonton.

  • Penguins' Stuart Skinner: Just second win in last nine starts

Skinner made 26 saves in a 4-3 shootout win over the Senators on Thursday.

It was Skinner's second win in a nine-game span dating back to Feb. 3. He is 2-2-5 in that period. In contrast, his platoon mate Arturs Silovs is 6-3-0 in nine starts in the same period. The Pens are committed to this platoon, but the Skinner side is clearly the weaker half. The team will want to hold onto second in the Metropolitan, especially if Sidney Crosby, who suffered a lower-body injury in the game, is out of commission for long.

  • Joel Hofer G | STL

Blues' Joel Hofer: Shines in OT win

Hofer turned away 24 of 25 shots on goal in Thursday's 2-1 overtime win over the Sharks.

Hofer earned Thursday's second star for his strong overall performance, as he allowed just one goal early in the third period before dialing in down the stretch. With the OT win, he's up to a 19-11-5 record, a 2.52 GAA and a .912 save percentage through 39 appearances this season. Thursday's victory helped Hofer stay unbeaten since the Olympic break, where he has posted a 7-0-2 record, a 1.29 GAA and a .955 save percentage across his last nine outings. The 25-year-old has shown immense poise to shake off his rough start to the season and is a must-roster player in all league formats for the remainder of the fantasy playoffs.

  • Jet Greaves G | CLB

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Spectacular play in 2026

Greaves made 18 saves in a 2-1 loss to Montreal on Thursday.

Greaves has lost two of his last three games, but he has allowed just five goals total in that span. He has been flat-out brilliant this season and especially in 2026. Greaves' last two regulation losses came Jan. 6 and 8; he is 12-2-2 in 16 games since then. He allowed two or fewer goals in 10 of those games. The Blue Jackets are Greaves' team.

  • Sharks' Alex Nedeljkovic: Concedes twice in relief effort

Nedeljkovic stopped 10 of 12 shots on net he faced in Thursday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Blues.

Nedeljkovic entered Thursday's contest after Yaroslav Askarov (upper body) was pulled in his return to the lineup. Nedeljkovic was four seconds away from forcing a shootout before the Blues scored the late winner. Overall, the 30-year-old netminder now has a 13-13-4 record, a 3.00 GAA and an .893 save percentage across 34 appearances this season. He's now seen game action in six of San Jose's last seven contests and is in the midst of a four-game losing streak. While he should continue to see frequent opportunities down the stretch with Askarov's status unknown, Nedeljkovic is a risky play in fantasy until he can help the Sharks find the win column. His next chance to bounce back is Saturday against the Blue Jackets.

  • Jakub Dobes G | MON

Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Continues to dazzle

Dobes made 25 saves in a 2-1 win over Columbus on Thursday.

Dobes was dazzling at times, including late in the second when he managed a sprawling pad save on a Mason Marchment backhand deke on a breakaway. It kept the game tied 1-1. He has won two starts in a row, three of his last four and five of his last seven (dating back to March 7). Dobes' save percentage is .931 in those seven starts. He owns the Montreal net right now with elite prospect Jacob Fowler on the bench.

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Exits Thursday's game

Askarov won't return to Thursday's game versus the Blues after sustaining an apparent upper-body injury.

Askarov seemed to indicate an issue with his neck after getting run into in his crease during the second period. He stopped all 11 shots he faced prior to his exit, and Alex Nedeljkovic replaced him between the pipes. Askarov was making his return from a lower-body injury that cost him seven contests. If he is forced to miss more time, Laurent Brossoit is likely to be recalled from AHL San Jose to fill the backup role. The Sharks visit the Blue Jackets on Saturday.
