  • Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: First off Tuesday

Schmid will draw the home start Tuesday versus the Rangers, according to Jesse Granger of The Athletic.

Schmid heads into Tuesday's contest with a 7-1-2 record, 2.50 GAA and .900 save percentage through 10 outings this year. Schmid is currently operating as the team's No. 1 netminder, but that will change once Adin Hill (lower body) and Carter Hart (suspension) are in the lineup. The Rangers have found the back of the net 15 times across their last five games, a span in which they are 3-2-0, but 13 of those goals came in back-to-back wins over the Predators and Lightning.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Set to face Vegas

Shesterkin was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports, indicating he will defend the road net against the Golden Knights on Tuesday.

Shesterkin has surrendered only seven goals on 93 shots during his three-game winning streak. He has a 7-6-2 record with one shutout, a 2.39 GAA and a .913 save percentage through 15 appearances this season. Vegas ranks 14th in the league with 3.17 goals per game this campaign.

  • Penguins' Gabriel D'Aigle: Earns weekly honors

D'Aigle was named the QMJHL Player of the Week on Monday.

D'Aigle won both of his games for QMJHL Victoriaville last week, allowing three goals on 66 shots in wins over Shawinigan and Gatineau. For the season, D'Aigle hasn't done all that well with a 4.28 GAA and an .886 save percentage, but this past week was a flash of what made the Penguins elect him 84th overall in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. Victoriaville is just 8-10-3 through 21 games this season, ranking at the bottom of the QMJHL's Eastern Conference, which will explain a large portion of D'Aigle's struggles so far.

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Scheduled to face Utah

Askarov was the first netminder off at morning skate, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports, which indicates he'll guard the home cage Tuesday versus the Mammoth.

Askarov has been tremendous lately after a slow start to the campaign, but his four-game winning streak was snapped during his last start in Calgary on Thursday. Still, he stopped 34 of 35 shots in that game but didn't receive any offensive support in a 2-0 loss. To put things in perspective, the 2020 first-round pick has a 1.19 GAA and an otherworldly .965 save percentage across his last five outings, so he'll look to get back in the win column Tuesday after receiving the night off Saturday in Seattle. The Mammoth are coming off a 3-2 overtime loss to the Ducks on Monday, so the Sharks have the clear rest advantage.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Will start final game of road trip

Sorokin will start in Detroit on Thursday, per Andrew Gross of Newsday on Tuesday.

Sorokin is getting the night off Tuesday, as David Rittich will be between the pipes in Dallas. Head coach Patrick Roy confirmed that Sorokin will get the start in the final game of the Islanders' road trip, which concludes Thursday in Detroit. The Russian netminder has cleaned up his game lately, delivering a 4-1-1 record, .931 save percentage and 1.96 GAA across his last six appearances.

  • Islanders' David Rittich: Tending twine in Dallas

Rittich is scheduled to patrol the road blue paint Tuesday versus the Stars, according to Andrew Gross of Newsday.

Rittich was sharp in his last start, stopping 27 of 29 shots in a 3-2 overtime win over the Mammoth on Friday. The 33-year-old owns a 4-2-0 record, 3.15 GAA and .893 save percentage across six appearances in 2025-26. As for the Stars, they have scored 22 goals during their active five-game winning streak.

  • Lukas Dostal G | ANA

Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Earns OT win Monday

Dostal stopped 16 of 18 shots in Monday's 3-2 overtime win over the Mammoth.

Dostal was beaten late in the second period and midway through the third frame, but a late equalizer from Troy Terry and an overtime goal from Olen Zellweger allowed Anaheim to mount the comeback. Dostal bounced back from two straight defeats in this win, and he owns a 5-2-0 record with a 2.87 GAA and an .894 save percentage in seven appearances this month.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Tagged with OT loss Monday

Vejmelka stopped 23 of 26 shots in Monday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Ducks.

Vejmelka has dropped back-to-back games in overtime, as it also happened in a 3-2 loss to the Islanders on Friday. What's even more concerning is that Vejmelka has gone four straight starts with a save percentage below the .900 mark. Over that four-game slump, Vejmelka is 1-1-2 with a 3.45 GAA and an .843 save percentage. His starting role isn't in danger, but he might serve as the backup Tuesday against the Sharks on the second leg of Utah's back-to-back set.

  • Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Tending twine Wednesday

Wallstedt will patrol the home crease against Carolina on Wednesday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Wallstedt has stopped 89 of the 91 shots he has faced during his active three-game winning streak. He has posted shutout victories in each of his last two outings, but the Hurricanes will be a challenging opponent. Carolina ranks second in the league with 3.63 goals per game this season.

  • Jet Greaves G | CLB

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Earns shootout win Monday

Greaves stopped 29 of 32 shots in Monday's 4-3 shootout win over the Canadiens. He also stopped two shots in the shootout.

Greaves came through in the shootout, and he's now on a run of five straight games without a defeat in regulation. Over that stretch, Greaves has gone 3-0-2 with a 2.66 GAA and a .901 save percentage. The 24-year-old has also posted a save percentage of at least .900 in three of his previous four outings. He seems to have gained a firm grip on the No. 1 role between the pipes over Elvis Merzlikins, who will start Tuesday against the Jets on the second leg of this back-to-back set.
