  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Starting in Pittsburgh

Kuemper will guard the road goal against the Penguins on Sunday, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.

Kuemper is coming off a 23-save performance in Tuesday's 3-0 shutout win over Winnipeg. He has a 4-3-3 record this season with a 2.57 GAA and a .900 save percentage through 10 appearances. Pittsburgh ranks sixth in the league with 3.44 goals per game this campaign.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Tending twine Sunday

Soderblom will defend the road net against Detroit on Sunday, per Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times.

Soderblom is coming off a 21-save effort in Monday's 3-1 loss to Seattle. He has a 1-2-1 record this season while allowing 12 goals on 104 shots. Detroit sits 21st in the league with 2.87 goals per game this campaign.

  • Devin Cooley G | CGY

Flames' Devin Cooley: Set for third start

Cooley is getting the start Sunday against the Wild, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

Cooley is set to make his fifth appearance this season but just his third start; his other two appearances have been in relief. The 28-year-old has been good when called upon but is seeking his first win of the season, entering Sunday's contest with a 0-1-1 record, a 1.98 GAA and a .933 save percentage. He will face a Wild team that has won three of its last four games, scoring three goals or more in all four contests.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Gives up six goals

Vejmelka stopped 17 of 23 shots in Saturday's 6-2 loss to Montreal.

Vejmelka gave up a season-high six goals in this loss after allowing three or fewer goals in each of his previous two starts. The fact that Vejmelka has posted a save percentage of .880 or lower in three of his last four starts makes it hard for fantasy managers to trust him on a steady basis.

  • Penguins' Sergei Murashov: Set for NHL debut

Murashov will patrol the home crease against the Kings on Sunday, Michelle Crechiolo of the Penguins' official site reports.

Murashov will make his NHL debut in the second half of Pittsburgh's back-to-back after Arturs Silovs played in Saturday's 2-1 shootout loss to New Jersey. The 21-year-old Murashov has posted a 5-2-0 record with a 1.73 GAA and a .931 save percentage through seven appearances with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. The Kings sit 25th in the league with 2.73 goals per game this campaign.

  • Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Earns back-to-back starts

Wallstedt will get the start against the Flames on Sunday, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports.

Wallstedt will start consecutive contests for the first time in his career. The 22-year-old earned another game given the good performance he gave during Friday's 5-2 win against the Islanders, stopping 25 of the 27 shots he faced. He will face a Flames team tied for the least potent offense in the league so far, averaging just 2.19 goals per game.

  • Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Gets back to winning ways

Montembeault stopped 25 of 27 shots in Saturday's 6-2 win over Utah.

Montembeault was coming off a 5-4 overtime loss to the Penguins in which he stopped 38 of 42 shots, but he got back to winning ways with a solid outing against Utah while posting a .926 save percentage -- his highest mark of the season in a single game. This was a step in the right direction, but Montembeault's overall numbers remain subpar. Through eight appearances, the 29-year-old has gone 4-3-1 with a 3.46 GAA and an .864 save percentage in 2025-26.

  • Alex Lyon G | BUF

Sabres' Alex Lyon: Beaten four times Saturday

Lyon stopped 29 of 33 shots in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes. The other two goals were empty-netters late in the third period.

Lyon was beaten once in the first period, twice in the second and once more in the third. The Sabres managed to reduce the deficit to one goal and decided to pull Lyon out late in the game, but Carolina took advantage of that to ice the game for good with two empty-netters. This was Lyon's fourth straight loss of the season. The 32-year-old has gone 0-1-3 with a 3.44 GAA and an .891 save percentage in that span. His last win came against the Maple Leafs on Oct. 24.

  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Earns another win

Kochetkov stopped 19 of 22 shots in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Sabres.

Kochetkov missed the start of the season due to a lower-body injury and posted a shutout in his 2025-26 debut Tuesday against the Rangers. He wasn't as effective this time around, but he got enough offensive support to improve to 2-0-0. Frederik Andersen isn't enjoying the best start to the campaign, so Kochetkov could be in line for more playing time if he continues to play like he has in his first two appearances.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Surrenders four goals

Shesterkin stopped 21 of 25 shots on net in Saturday's 5-0 loss to the Islanders.

Shesterkin started each period strong, keeping the net tidy inside the first 10 minutes of each frame. However, the Islanders' offense kicked into gear in the second half of each period, scoring on Shesterkin at least once each time out. The 29-year-old goaltender now has a 4-6-2 record with a 2.41 GAA and a .909 save percentage in 12 appearances this year. After posting a 1.17 GAA and a .957 save percentage through his first six appearances, Shesterkin has struggled to a 3.64 GAA and an .862 save percentage over his last six starts. The Rangers have been shut out in each of his last two starts, so his poor recent results are due at least in part to the struggles of the skaters in front of Shesterkin. His next chance to get back on track is Monday against Nashville.
