Jet Greaves G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Starting against Calgary
Greaves will defend the road crease against Calgary on Wednesday, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.
Greaves is in the midst of a two-game winning streak in which he's posted a 2.44 GAA and .935 save percentage, a stretch that has continued his strong start to the season. He's alternated starts with Elvis Merzlikins early in the 2025-26 campaign, and that pattern will continue Wednesday. Greaves will have a favorable matchup against the Flames, who are averaging 2.14 goals per game this season, which is the worst mark in the NHL.

Dustin Wolf G | CGY
Flames' Dustin Wolf: Guarding home goal
Wolf is set to start at home against Columbus on Wednesday, per Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.
Wolf has struggled early in the 2025-26 season, posting a 3-8-1 record, a 3.39 GAA and an .884 save percentage through 12 appearances. However, he did stop 17 of 18 shots en route to a 2-1 win over Philadelphia on Sunday. Wolf faced Columbus once last year, allowing four goals on 33 shots in a 5-2 loss to the Blue Jackets.

Jakub Dobes G | MON
Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Expected starter for Thursday
Dobes is set to guard the road goal against New Jersey on Thursday, Stu Cowan of The Montreal Gazette reports Wednesday.
Dobes has a 6-0-0 record, 1.97 GAA and .930 save percentage in six appearances in 2025-26. While those are ideal numbers, Dobes has surrendered six goals on 52 shots (.885 save percentage) across his past two games, so he might be cooling from his hot start. The Devils are 9-4-0 and tied for sixth in goals per game with 3.54 this year.

Jordan Binnington G | STL
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Gets starting nod Wednesday
Binnington will be between the pipes on the road against the Capitals on Wednesday, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
Binnington has just one win in his last six games, posting a 1-3-2 record and 3.22 GAA in those outings. Despite his struggles, the team seems willing to keep heavily utilizing the 32-year-old netminder rather than turning more to Joel Hofer. Having said that, with the Blues heading into a back-to-back, fantasy managers can likely expect Hofer to get the nod versus the Sabres on the road Thursday.

Tristan Jarry G | EDM
Penguins' Tristan Jarry: Set for three-week absence
Jarry is dealing with a lower-body injury that will sideline him for at least three weeks, the Penguins reported Wednesday.
Based on Jarry's recovery timeline, he should be expected to miss at least the next seven games, though it could certainly be longer. With the netminder on the shelf, the Penguins recalled 21-year-old backstop Sergei Murashov from the minors. For the time being, Arturs Silovs will likely see the bulk of the workload, though the door is open for Murashov to earn more opportunities.

Logan Thompson G | WAS
Capitals' Logan Thompson: Starting Wednesday's game
Thompson was the first goalie off during Wednesday's morning skate, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports, signaling that he'll draw the home start against the Blues.
Thompson has been relatively sharp over his last two starts, posting a 1.53 GAA and a .927 save percentage, but he's gone 0-2-0 during that time. He's received only one goal of support from the Capitals' offense during that time. He'll attempt to remain sharp and return to the win column against the Blues. St. Louis is averaging 2.85 goals per game this year, tying the team for 19th in the league.

Igor Shesterkin G | NYR
Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Gets no help in Tuesday's loss
Shesterkin stopped 29 of 31 shots in Tuesday's 3-0 loss to the Hurricanes, with Carolina's final goal getting scored into an empty net.
It was another strong effort from Shesterkin that went unrewarded due to the Rangers' offensive struggles. The 29-year-old netminder has allowed two goals or fewer in eight of 11 starts to begin the season en route to a 2.26 GAA and .915 save percentage, but he's just 3-4-1 in those outings.
-
Pyotr Kochetkov G | CAR
Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Blanks Blueshirts in season debut
Kochetkov turned aside 25 shots in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Rangers.
After recovering from a lower-body injury, Kochetkov won his season debut by posting his 11th career shutout. He faced a New York offense that has been snakebitten so far in 2025-26. Carolina has a crowded crease at the moment with Frederik Andersen and Brandon Bussi in the fold. Still, Kochetkov could seize the No. 1 job if Andersen's numbers don't improve.

Alex Lyon G | BUF
Sabres' Alex Lyon: Takes tough loss Tuesday
Lyon stopped 33 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Mammoth.
The 32-year-old was locked in a goaltending duel with Karel Vejmelka through two periods before Nick Schmaltz opened the scoring early in the third. Lyon was still able to earn Buffalo a point even though the Sabres were outshot 12-3 in the final 20 minutes of regulation. Lyon has overtime losses in each of his last three straight starts. His record is at 3-4-3 through 10 outings with a 2.80 GAA and a .915 save percentage.

Karel Vejmelka G | UTA
Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Sharp in seventh win
Vejmelka made 17 saves in Tuesday's 2-1 overtime win over the Sabres.
While he wasn't busy on a night in which Utah outshot Buffalo 35-18, Vejmelka took a shutout into the third period before giving up a fluky goal to Noah Ostlund -- the initial shot went over the net, bounced off the glass and got knocked down by Isak Rosen before landing at Ostlund's feet for a second chance. Vejmelka got his revenge, though, picking up an assist on Clayton Keller's OT winner. The 29-year-old netminder is 7-3-0 through 10 starts to begin the season with a 2.60 GAA and an .894 save percentage.
