Capitals' Logan Thompson: Slated to start in Dallas
Thompson is expected the patrol the road blue paint versus the Stars on Tuesday.
Thompson has been phenomenal so far this year, as he's riding a five-game winning streak while allowing two goals or less in all six of his appearances, including exactly one marker in each of his past three starts. The 28-year-old netminder holds a 1-1-1 record, 2.00 GAA and .929 save percentage over three career regular-season appearances versus the Stars. Dallas has won back-to-back games after losing four in a row.

Oettinger is coming off a 26-save performance in a 3-2 win over Carolina on Saturday. He has a 4-2-1 record through seven appearances this season while surrendering 21 goals on 207 shots. Washington is tied for 16th in the league with 3.00 goals per game this campaign.

Gustavsson will defend the home cage Tuesday versus the Jets, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports.
Gustavsson has struggled during the early portion of 2025-26, as he's lost four of his last five outings, which puts him at 2-5-0 with one shutout, a 3.34 GAA and an .897 save percentage through seven appearances on the season. The task won't get any easier against a Winnipeg team that is 6-3-0 and has generated 3.33 goals per game this year, which is tied for 11th in the league.

Hunter Shepard G | MON
Senators' Hunter Shepard: Sent back to minors
Shepard was loaned to AHL Belleville on Tuesday.
Shepard was brought up from the minors Monday, but he'll return to Belleville in short order. The Minnesota native was summoned to the big club in order to give Linus Ullmark the night off, as Leevi Merilainen was in goal for Monday's 7-2 win over Boston. Shepard is 2-1-0 with a .910 save percentage and a 2.69 GAA over three appearances in the AHL this season.

Jet Greaves G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Draws start in Buffalo
Greaves will patrol the road crease Tuesday against the Sabres, per Aaron Portzline of The Athletic.
Greaves will continue to split starts with Elvis Merzlikins, as neither netminder has started back-to-back games so far in 2025-26. The 24-year-old Greaves had his first poor showing against the Capitals on Friday, surrendering five goals on 30 shots while picking up the loss. The Sabres have looked great lately, going 4-1-1 in their last six games, and they've scored at least three goals in all but one of those contests.

Alex Lyon G | BUF
Sabres' Alex Lyon: Expected to feature Tuesday
Lyon is slated to defend the cage at home versus the Blue Jackets on Tuesday, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.
Lyon will make his eighth appearance in the crease over the Sabres' first 10 contests, having posted a 3-4-0 record and a 2.61 GAA in his prior seven outings. Still, with Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen back from a lower-body injury, the 32-year-old Lyon is likely to see a dip in starts, especially if the team keeps Colten Ellis on the NHL roster.
-
Joonas Korpisalo G | BOS
Bruins' Joonas Korpisalo: Set to start Tuesday
Korpisalo is expected to patrol the crease at home versus the Islanders on Tuesday, per Russ Macias of The Hockey News.
Korpisalo takes the second game of the Bruins' back-to-back after Jeremy Swayman featured in Monday's 7-2 defeat to Ottawa. Given Swayman's struggles -- he is 3-4-0 with a career-worst 3.45 GAA -- the 31-year-old Korpisalo could earn himself a few more opportunities with a strong outing Tuesday.
-
Anthony Stolarz G | TOR
Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Scheduled to start Tuesday
Stolarz is slated to get the home start against the Flames on Tuesday, according to David Alter of The Hockey News.
Stolarz has dropped three consecutive outings, as he's 0-2-1 with a 4.37 GAA and an .859 save percentage during that stretch. Even though the Flames potted five goals in their last game against a struggling Rangers club Sunday, Stolarz will have a chance to rebound Tuesday, as Calgary sits last in the NHL with 2.00 goals per game in 2025-26.

Daniil Tarasov G | FLA
Panthers' Daniil Tarasov: Facing Anaheim
Tarasov will be between the home pipes Tuesday against the Ducks.

The 26-year-old Tarasov will take on an Anaheim squad that has found the back of the net 15 times over its last three games, a span in which the Ducks are 2-1-0.
