Sergei Bobrovsky G | FLA
Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Set to start Wednesday
Bobrovsky is expected to start on the road against Toronto for Game 2 on Wednesday, Colby Guy of The Palm Beach Post reports.
Bobrovsky stopped 25 of 30 shots en route to a 5-4 loss against the Maple Leafs in Game 1, so he'll be attempting to help even the series. He's 4-2 with a 2.69 GAA and an .887 save percentage across six playoff appearances this year. Toronto is tied for sixth with 3.43 goals per game in the 2025 postseason.

Jonas Johansson G | TB
Lightning's Jonas Johansson: Inks two-year extension
Johansson signed a two-year, $2.5 million contract with the Lightning on Wednesday, Gabby Shirley of FanDuel Sports Network Florida & Sun reports.
Johansson was set to become an unrestricted free agent after completing his two-year, $1.55 million deal. He had a 9-6-3 record, 3.14 GAA and .895 save percentage across 19 regular-season appearances with Tampa Bay in 2024-25. The 29-year-old is expected to continue to serve as Andrei Vasilevskiy's understudy over the life of this new contract.

Connor Hellebuyck G | WPG
Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Tending twine in Game 1
Hellebuyck will defend the home crease in Wednesday's Game 1 against the Stars, Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Hellebuyck had a stellar regular season that puts him in prime position to win a second consecutive Vezina Trophy, but he was shaky during the Jets' first-round series against the Blues, going 4-3-0 with a 3.85 GAA and .830 save percentage. However, the 31-year-old will remain in net to begin the second round and should continue to have opportunities to turn things around.

Matt Murray G | SEA
Maple Leafs' Matt Murray: Serving as backup Wednesday
Murray will serve as the backup netminder for Wednesday's Game 2 at home against the Panthers, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
Anthony Stolarz (upper body) has been ruled out for Wednesday's matchup, so Joseph Woll will serve as the starting netminder. Murray will dress as the No. 2 goalie for Game 2, but it's also possible that Dennis Hildeby dresses as the backup later in the series if Stolarz is forced to miss additional time.

Anthony Stolarz G | TOR
Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Ruled out for Game 2
Stolarz (upper body) has been ruled out for Wednesday's Game 2 at home against the Panthers, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
Stolarz exited Monday's Game 1 due to an upper-body injury, and head coach Craig Berube declined to elaborate on the nature of the issue ahead of Wednesday's game. Berube didn't provide a timetable for Stolarz's return and simply said that the netminder is "recovering." Joseph Woll will serve as the Maple Leafs' starting goaltender Wednesday, while Matt Murray will dress as the backup.

Joseph Woll G | TOR
Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Drawing start in Game 2
Woll will defend the home crease during Wednesday's Game 2 against the Panthers, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
Woll entered Monday's Game 1 in relief after Anthony Stolarz sustained an upper-body injury. Woll guided the Maple Leafs to a win and will draw the start Wednesday since Stolarz will be unavailable. Woll has picked up wins in each of his last three outings, posting a 2.82 GAA and .912 save percentage during that time. Matt Murray will serve as the backup in Game 2.

Adin Hill G | LV
Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Falters in series-opening loss
Hill stopped 24 of 28 shots in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 1.
The Golden Knights stormed ahead 2-0 early in the first period, but the offense stalled out after that. It wasn't enough of a lead for Hill, who gave up three goals in the third period, including two in the final 3:02. Hill has largely struggled in the postseason despite his 4-3 record, allowing three or more goals in four of those seven games, but the Oilers' offense is deeper and more dangerous than what the Wild had to offer in the first round. Expect Hill to get the nod again in Game 2 on Thursday.

Calvin Pickard G | EDM
Oilers' Calvin Pickard: Recovers after shaky first period
Pickard stopped 15 of 17 shots in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Golden Knights in Game 1.
Pickard gave up two goals to Mark Stone in the first 9:03 of the game. After that, the Oilers' defense tightened up, and the offense eventually gave Pickard enough support to earn his fifth straight win. The 33-year-old has yet to lose in six playoff outings, though the Oilers are mostly winning on the strength of their offense rather than any heroics from between the pipes. As long as he continues to get results, Pickard is poised to keep starting, so expect him to tend the twine in Game 2 on Thursday.

Frederik Andersen G | CAR
Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Barely tested in OT win
Andersen made 13 saves in a 2-1 overtime win over the Capitals in Game 1 on Tuesday.
The Caps pretty much sleepwalked through Tuesday's game, and Andersen was rarely tested. Still, he was solid when he needed to be while his teammates attacked Logan Thompson in waves at the other end of the ice. Andersen simply needs to play a solid, unspectacular game behind such a strong two-way squad -- and stay healthy, something he has struggled to do.

Logan Thompson G | WAS
Capitals' Logan Thompson: Best player on ice in loss
Thompson made 31 saves in a 2-1 overtime loss to Carolina on Tuesday.
Thompson was the best player on the ice by a long shot. The Caps were outshot 33-14, and he had an absolutely monster game. The Caps shouldn't have even been in the game, but Thompson made sure they were. If anyone doubted this guy's star caliber, they can't anymore. He's 4-2-0 with a 2.17 GAA and a .926 save percentage in six games this postseason.
