  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Pulled in second period

Kuemper stopped 11 of 15 shots in Thursday's 8-1 loss to the Oilers.

Kuemper was pulled in the second period shortly after giving up a goal to Connor McDavid. The Oilers kept the pressure up and rattled off four goals on 22 shots against Anton Forsberg. Kuemper will likely get the majority of the starts for the Kings, but he hasn't been particularly good, allowing at least four goals in three of his last five games. The 35-year-old netminder is at a 14-12-9 record with a 2.68 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 37 starts this season. The Kings have a more favorable matchup ahead when they host the Flames on Saturday.

  • Oilers' Connor Ingram: Bounces back Thursday

Ingram stopped 21 of 22 shots in Thursday's 8-1 win over the Kings.

Ingram was stuck with a relief loss versus the Ducks on Wednesday, but he looked good in his start a day later. The 28-year-old limited the damage to a Warren Foegele tally in the first period, and the Oilers offered plenty of scoring support after that. Ingram has allowed 10 goals on 60 shots over his previous four games. He's now at a 7-5-1 record with a 2.58 GAA and an .899 save percentage in 15 appearances this season. The top job in Edmonton's crease should be up for grabs given Tristan Jarry's struggles, and it could go to Ingram if he strings together a few strong performances. The Oilers' next game is Saturday in San Jose.

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Takes another loss

Askarov stopped 25 of 28 shots in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Flames. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.

Askarov took his third straight regulation loss, a span in which he's allowed 10 goals on 79 shots. The 23-year-old has been skidding for much of 2026, holding an opponent under three goals just once in 10 appearances since the start of the new year. For the season, Askarov has a 17-16-2 record with a 3.52 GAA and an .888 save percentage in 36 starts. It would take a lot for the Sharks to mount a playoff push, so Askarov and Alex Nedeljkovic may share the crease down the stretch. Both goalies should start this weekend, as the Sharks host the Oilers on Saturday and the Jets on Sunday.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Sharp in win Thursday

Wolf stopped 34 of 35 shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Sharks.

The Sharks scored first at 1:17 of the second period on a Tyler Toffoli goal, but Wolf didn't let the game spiral. This was his 10th win in 12 career decisions versus the Sharks, including three out of four matchups this season. Overall, Wolf has a 17-21-3 record with a 2.95 GAA and an .899 save percentage over 42 appearances. He's been the Flames' starter most of the time this season, but the team may want to give Devin Cooley ample opportunities down the stretch since it's unlikely Calgary will rally for a playoff spot. Expect both goalies to get action this weekend with an upcoming back-to-back set that features games in Los Angeles on Saturday and Anaheim on Sunday.

  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Eighth consecutive win

Bussi made 24 saves in a 5-4 win over Tampa Bay on Thursday.

His mates gave him a three-goal cushion in the first 10 minutes of the game, but the Bolts clawed back to knot the score. It was Bussi's eighth consecutive win. He is 24-3-1 with two shutouts, 2.23 GAA and .906 save percentage in 28 starts.

  • Lightning's Jonas Johansson: Can't overcome rough start

Johansson made 28 saves in a 5-4 loss to Carolina on Thursday.

Johansson got off to a rough start, allowing three goals in the first 10 minutes of the game. He has lost his last two games and allowed 11 goals in that span. Starter Andrei Vasilevskiy is well rested, so don't expect Johansson to see too much time in the blue paint.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Takes loss versus Wild

Blackwood allowed three goals on 34 shots in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Wild. The last two goals were empty-netters.

Blackwood did well to keep the game close, but Mats Zuccarello's deflected goal with 4:52 left in the third period was the deciding tally. The 29-year-old Blackwood has allowed three goals in just two of his last six outings and remains a strong goalie in a great situation. This loss sent him to 16-6-1 on the season with a 2.28 GAA and a .916 save percentage in 23 appearances. The Avalanche rode Blackwood pretty heavily before the Olympic break, so it's possible he will get a majority of the starts over Scott Wedgewood down the stretch. The Avalanche host the Blackhawks on Saturday.

  • Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Allows goal in mop-up duty

Wallstedt gave up a goal on two shots in relief of Filip Gustavsson (illness) in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Avalanche.

Luckily for Wallstedt, that mop-up duty was just metaphorical -- Gustavsson became ill in the crease late in the third period. Wallstedt gave up a goal while coming in cold, but that won't be held against him. The 23-year-old will likely get the nod for Friday's game in Utah, though it's unclear if Gustavsson will be feeling well enough to back up for that contest.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Yields three goals in loss

Knight gave up three goals on 25 shots in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Predators. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.

Knight had a 2-1 lead to protect in the third period, but he wasn't up to the task. He's lost in regulation in four of his last six outings, and he's given up at least three goals in seven straight games. The 24-year-old is down to 16-17-7 with a 2.63 GAA and a .907 save percentage over 40 games. It's possible the career-high workload is catching up to him, especially with a young defense in front of him. Knight and Arvid Soderblom can be expected to split this weekend's back-to-back set, which has the Blackhawks visiting the Avalanche on Saturday and the Mammoth on Sunday.

  • Predators' Justus Annunen: Gets win over Blackhawks

Annunen stopped 21 of 23 shots in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Blackhawks.

Annunen allowed a go-ahead goal to Tyler Bertuzzi in the third period, but the Predators bounced back with the last three tallies of the game. This was Annunen's second win in his last three outings. The 25-year-old netminder has had plenty of ups and downs this season, sitting at a 6-7-2 record with a 3.16 GAA and an .885 save percentage across 19 appearances. Juuse Saros will likely return to the starting role in a tough matchup Saturday in Dallas.
