  • Golden Knights' Ilya Samsonov: Returns to crease Tuesday

Samsonov (upper body) will defend the road net against Calgary on Tuesday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

Samsonov will return to the crease following an eight-game absence. He has posted a 16-9-3 record with two shutouts, a 2.78 GAA and an .892 save percentage across 28 appearances this season. Calgary ranks 30th in the league with 2.64 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Starting in pivotal matchup

Binnington will patrol the home crease Tuesday versus Utah, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

There a number of clinching scenarios in play Tuesday, but Binnington can help the Blues lock up a playoff spot with a regulation win over Utah. The 31-year-old goaltender has faltered recently after winning seven consecutive games, surrendering a total of seven goals on just 40 shots across back-to-back losses to Edmonton and Seattle. This will be Binnington's third start against Utah this season -- he went 1-1-0 with a 2.53 GAA and a .914 save percentage in those two appearances.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Expected starter against Ottawa

Knight is slated to draw the road start against the Senators on Tuesday, according to TSN 1200 Ottawa.

Knight made a season-high 38 saves on 42 shots Saturday against Winnipeg but was charged with the shootout loss. The 23-year-old has recorded just one win in his last seven appearances, turning in a 3.39 GAA and an .879 save percentage across that span. However, the Sens are choosing to rest a few players Tuesday, so Knight has an opportunity to close out the campaign on a high note. The Connecticut native is 2-1-0 with one shutout, a 3.67 GAA and an .879 save percentage over three career outings against Ottawa.

  • Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Not available Tuesday

Merzlikins (upper body) will not be an option for Tuesday's divisional matchup in Philadelphia, per Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site.

Merzlikins will miss his fourth consecutive game, and it's unclear if he'll be available for Thursday's regular-season finale against the Islanders. Jet Greaves is getting the starting nod Tuesday against the Flyers, while Daniil Tarasov will continue to serve as the No. 2 netminder due to Merzlikins' absence.

  • Joey Daccord G | SEA

Kraken's Joey Daccord: First goalie off Tuesday

Daccord was the first goalie to leave the ice Tuesday, Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network reports, indicating he'll patrol the crease at home versus the Kings.

Daccord has already set new personal bests in games played (56) and wins (27) this season, though he saw his GAA creep up to 2.69 this year -- slightly above last year's 2.46. The backstop has already signed a long-term extension with the Kraken heading into next year and figures to remain the top option between the pipes.

  • Lukas Dostal G | ANA

Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Exits ice first

Dostal was the first netminder off at the morning skate, according to Jessi Pierce of NHL.com, which indicates he'll tend the road the twine Tuesday in Minnesota.

Dostal has struggled in back-to-back losses to the Kings and the Avalanche, allowing a total of nine goals on 53 shots (.830 save percentage). The 24-year-old owns a 23-23-6 record, 3.11 GAA and .902 save percentage over 53 appearances in 2024-25. The Wild have netted 17 goals over their last five games, a span in which they are 3-2-0.

  • Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: Between pipes in St. Louis

Vejmelka will get the road start Tuesday against the Blues, according to Belle Fraser of The Salt Lake Tribune.

Vejmelka has played well down the final stretch of the season, earning a 4-1-1 record, .925 save percentage and 1.98 GAA across six appearances in April. Vejmelka and his club can play the role of spoiler Tuesday -- the Blues are competing with Minnesota and Calgary for one of the two final Western Conference wild-card spots. The 28-year-old netminder is sporting the best ratios of his career (.906 save percentage, 2.52 GAA), and even though Utah won't be in the playoffs, Vejmelka has a strong foundation to build on heading into 2025-26.

  • Kings' David Rittich: Starting in Seattle

Rittich will defend the road net against the Kraken on Tuesday, according to Gerry Moddejonge of NHL.com.

Rittich made a relief appearance versus Edmonton on Monday, stopping five shots in the Kings' 5-0 victory. He hadn't played since March 30 against San Jose, and the Kings wanted to get him some work before his scheduled start versus Seattle on Tuesday. Rittich has a 15-13-2 record with a 2.69 GAA and an .890 save percentage through 32 outings this season. Seattle sits 16th in the league with 2.96 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Kings' David Rittich: Sees time in relief Monday

Rittich played in relief during Monday's 5-0 win over the Oilers and stopped the five shots he faced.

Rittich entered the game midway through the final frame right after Adrian Kempe gave the Kings a 5-0 lead, and he didn't have any problem keeping the shutout alive against a depleted Oilers lineup. Rittich is slated to start Tuesday against the Kraken on the second leg of a back-to-back set, head coach Jim Hiller told media following Monday's win.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Drawing start in crucial game

Gustavsson will defend the home net against the Ducks on Tuesday, per Jessi Pierce of NHL.com.

Gustavsson will attempt to help his team earn a playoff berth -- the Wild can clinch a spot if they earn at least one point Tuesday. The Swedish netminder has underwhelmed in crunch time, posting a 2-2-1 record, .881 save percentage and 3.33 GAA over five outings in April. The Ducks have potted a total of three goals across back-to-back losses to Los Angeles and Colorado, and Gustavsson has a strong 5-1-0 record with a .939 save percentage over six career appearances against Anaheim.
