  • Sharks' Alexandar Georgiev: Can't handle Wild's returning stars

Georgiev stopped 36 of 44 shots in Wednesday's 8-7 overtime loss to the Wild.

Georgiev gave up a combined six goals to players returning from injury -- four to Joel Eriksson Ek and two to Kirill Kaprizov. Among the many lowlights of Georgiev's season, this was one of the worst, as he wasted the Sharks' three-goal comeback in the third period that forced overtime. He's 0-2-2 with 21 goals allowed over his last four contests, dropping to 15-25-3 on the year. Georgiev has also posted horrendous ratios with a 3.79 GAA and an .872 save percentage over 47 appearances. The Sharks' road trip continues in Edmonton on Friday, but Georgiev should not be a goalie any fantasy manager is relying on at this time of the season.

  • Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Ugly showing in overtime win

Fleury stopped 24 of 31 shots in Wednesday's 8-7 overtime win over the Sharks.

Fleury squandered a three-goal lead in the third period, but the Wild won anyway with a Kirill Kaprizov tally in overtime. The Wild have stayed away from Fleury as they work to maintain their grip on the second Western Conference wild-card spot, leaning on Filip Gustavsson in goal. Fleury had lost his last three outings and has given up 19 goals over his last four games. The 40-year-old legend is 13-9-1 with a 2.97 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 24 appearances. He'll likely make at least one more start in the regular season, as the Wild have a road back-to-back up next with games in Calgary on Friday and in Vancouver on Saturday.

  • Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Protecting net Wednesday

Stolarz will guard the road goal versus the Lightning on Wednesday, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.

Stolarz has won his last five starts, posting a 1.60 GAA and a .944 save percentage in that span. He'll have a tough matchup on his plate Wednesday, as the Lightning are 4-1-1 with 25 goals scored over their last six games. Both teams will be playing playoff-level hockey in this contest, as the top of the Atlantic Division is on the line.

  • Flyers' Aleksei Kolosov: Drawing start against Blueshirts

Kolosov will defend the road crease against the Rangers on Wednesday, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Kolosov was called up by the Flyers on March 25, but Wednesday's start will be his first appearance since rejoining the NHL club. He's made 15 appearances for the Flyers over the course of the season, going 4-8-1 with a 3.45 GAA and .870 save percentage.

  • Predators' Matt Murray: Inks two-year extension

Murray agreed to terms on a two-year, two-way contract with Nashville on Wednesday.

Murray has put together a solid campaign with AHL Milwaukee this year, going 25-10-5 with a .930 save percentage and 2.15 GAA in 40 appearances for the Admirals. Despite his decent numbers with the Admirals, the 27-year-old backstop has been unable to break into the NHL with the Predators this year. Given the two-way nature of his deal, Murray is unlikely to be anything more than an emergency depth option for the Preds moving forward.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Getting starting nod Wednesday

Wolf will get the start for Wednesday's road tilt against the Ducks, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

Since the Flames are currently on the outside of the playoff cutline, every game matters, and the team has trusted Wolf with the lion's share of playing time down the stretch. The rookie will be making his eighth start in the team's last nine games. He'll face an Anaheim offense that has struggled to score goals this season, ranking 26th in the NHL with 2.69 goals per game.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Guarding crease Wednesday

Binnington will get the starting nod Wednesday on the road against the Oilers, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

It'll be Binnington to try to get the Blues back in the win column following Monday's loss to the Jets that snapped St Louis' 12-game win streak. The 31-year-old has won seven straight starts, allowing just 13 total goals (1.86 per game) over that stretch. He will look to continue that against a shorthanded Oilers lineup without many key pieces, including superstars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.

  • John Gibson G | DET

Ducks' John Gibson: Out again Wednesday

Gibson (lower body) will not be in the lineup against Calgary on Wednesday, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.

Since Ville Husso is getting the nod Wednesday, it will almost certainly be Lukas Dostal who defends the road cage against the Kings on Thursday in the second half of the back-to-back. As such, Gibson is unlikely to get another shot to rejoin the lineup until Sunday's clash with Colorado at the earliest -- though it's possible the Ducks decide to just shut the veteran backstop down for the rest of the year.

  • Ville Husso G | ANA

Ducks' Ville Husso: Slated to defend home crease

Husso is slated to tend the twine at home against the Flames on Wednesday, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.

Husso was recalled from AHL San Diego on Friday, and he'll make his first NHL start since mid-March, as John Gibson (lower body) remains unavailable. Husso has made 11 appearances for the Ducks this year, going 1-6-2 with a 3.72 GAA and .874 save percentage.

  • Kraken's Victor Ostman: Headed back to AHL

Ostman was reassigned to AHL Coachella Valley on Wednesday.

Ostman made his NHL debut Tuesday against Utah, stopping all 12 shots he faced after starter Joey Daccord got tagged for seven goals. The 24-year-old Ostman will continue to gain experience in the AHL, where he's made four starts with a 2-1-1 record, 2.00 GAA and a .927 save percentage. Ostman's move suggests that Philipp Grubauer (illness), who missed Tuesday's game against Utah, could return for Thursday's matchup against the Golden Knights.
