  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Stumbles in shootout

Gustavsson stopped 26 shots in regulation and overtime but was beaten twice on two shootout attempts in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Devils.

It was a tough way to wrap up March for the 26-year-old netminder. Gustavsson has still allowed two goals or fewer in six of his last seven starts, going 4-2-1 over that stretch with a stellar 1.84 GAA and .936 save percentage, as the Wild close in on securing a playoff spot.

  • Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Drawing home start

Grubauer is set to start in Monday's home matchup against the Stars, per Davy Jones' Locker Room.

Grubauer's last start was in a 4-0 loss to Minnesota on March 19. The veteran netminder has played better of late, albeit a small sample size, going 2-1-0 with a .921 save percentage and a 2.02 GAA across three appearances this month. The Stars are tied for fourth in the NHL with 3.41 goals per game and defeated the Kraken 5-1 in the first half of this back-to-back set in Seattle on Saturday.

  • Predators' Justus Annunen: Starting in Philadelphia

Annunen will tend the road twine Monday versus the Flyers, according to Adam Kimelman of NHL.com.

Annunen hasn't fared well through six appearances in March, posting a 1-4-1 record, .902 save percentage and 2.51 GAA. The Finnish netminder will look to snap his four-game losing streak against a Flyers squad that is 2-0-0 and has netted 13 goals since parting ways with former head coach John Tortorella. Annunen is 2-0-0 with a 3.52 GAA and an .879 save percentage over two career appearances against Philadelphia.

  • Golden Knights' Ilya Samsonov: Labeled day-to-day

Samsonov is dealing with an upper-body injury and is considered day-to-day ahead of Tuesday's matchup with Edmonton, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Samsonov probably wasn't going to start Tuesday's game regardless, but the team brought up Akira Schmid from AHL Henderson in case Samsonov isn't healthy enough to back up Adin Hill. The Golden Knights have a back-to-back against Calgary and Vancouver on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, which could be an opportunity for Samsonov to start if he's cleared to play by the weekend.

  • Stars' Casey DeSmith: Between pipes against Seattle

DeSmith will defend the road crease against Seattle on Monday, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports.

DeSmith has seen limited playing time since the 4 Nations Face-Off break, but he'll tend the twine for the second time in the Stars' last three games Monday. Over four starts this month, he's gone 3-0-1 with a 1.96 GAA and .942 save percentage.

  • Dan Vladar G | PHI

Flames' Dan Vladar: Set to face Avalanche

Vladar was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, per Aarif Deen of Colorado Hockey Now, indicating he will guard the road goal against the Avalanche on Monday.

Vladar has won his last two outings, stopping 38 of 42 shots. He has a 10-11-6 record with two shutouts, a 2.90 GAA and an .893 save percentage through 28 appearances this season. Colorado sits sixth in the league with 3.34 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Recalled by Vegas

Schmid was recalled from AHL Henderson on Monday, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Schmid hasn't been with the NHL club since early February, but he'll join the Golden Knights ahead of Tuesday's game against Edmonton since Ilya Samsonov (undisclosed) is dealing with an injury that forced him to miss Saturday's game against Nashville. However, even if Samsonov misses additional time, Schmid will likely serve as the No. 2 netminder for the Golden Knights while Adin Hill operates as the primary goalie.

  • Petr Mrazek G | ANA

Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Set to miss additional time

Head coach Todd McLellan said Monday that Mrazek (head) is expected to get back on the ice this week but is still "a ways from returning," Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.

Mrazek has missed the last three games due to his head injury, but it's encouraging that he's slated to resume skating this week. Assuming he doesn't face any setbacks upon increasing his activity level, it wouldn't be surprising to see him return to action before the end of the regular season.

  • Eric Comrie G | WPG

Jets' Eric Comrie: Staying back in Winnipeg

Comrie is going to remain in Winnipeg ahead of Tuesday's road game versus the Kings for the birth of his child, Murat Ates of The Athletic reports.

With Comrie unavailable to serve as the backup against Los Angeles, the Jets recalled Chris Driedger from AHL Manitoba on Monday. The team didn't immediately provide an update on whether Comrie would rejoin the team later in its three-game road trip, but with no back-to-backs on the short-term schedule, he may not miss any starts regardless.

  • Jets' Chris Driedger: Called up Monday

Driedger was recalled by the Jets on Monday.

Driedger was traded to the Jets from the Panthers in early March, and he'll join the NHL club for the first time since the trade to serve as the No. 2 netminder while Eric Comrie is with his wife awaiting the birth of their child. However, Connor Hellebuyck should continue to see most of the playing time during Driedger's time on Winnipeg's roster.
