Aleksei Kolosov G | PHI
Flyers' Aleksei Kolosov: Set for demotion
Kolosov will be demoted to AHL Lehigh Valley on Friday, Jackie Spiegel of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Kolosov hasn't played an NHL game since Jan. 2, though he spent about a week in late January with the minor-league club. This move appears to be a more permanent arrangement, likely for the remainder of the season, and not just a paper move to make him eligible for the AHL playoffs. Samuel Ersson and Ivan Fedotov will be the Flyers' goaltending duo at the NHL level.

Laurent Brossoit G | SJ
Blackhawks' Laurent Brossoit: Not expected to play this season
Brossoit (knee) is not expected to play this season, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Brossoit has been battling a knee injury that required surgery in November, which followed a previous surgery to address a torn meniscus in August. The 31-year-old looks to have lost the whole season at this point, though the Blackhawks are not hurting for goaltenders after acquiring Spencer Knight in a trade that sent Seth Jones to the Panthers. Brossoit is under contract for 2025-26, but he may end up in the minors since both Petr Mrazek and Knight are also under contract.

Red Wings' Alex Lyon: Expected to start Thursday
Lyon is set to start at home against Utah on Thursday, per Daniella Bruce of the Red Wings' official site.
Lyon stopped 28 of 30 shots Tuesday, but Detroit didn't support him offensively, and the result was a 2-1 loss to Carolina. He's 11-7-1 with a 2.71 GAA and a .903 save percentage in 24 outings this campaign. Utah is tied for 23rd in goals per game with 2.80.

Kaapo Kahkonen G | MON
Panthers' Kaapo Kahkonen: Involved in goalie swap
Kahkonen was dealt to Florida from Winnipeg on Thursday in exchange for Chris Driedger, per RDS.ca.
Kahkonen has a 3.29 GAA and an .885 save percentage in 22 outings with AHL Manitoba in 2024-25. The 28-year-old has appeared in 140 career NHL regular-season games with a 49-68-15 record, 3.34 GAA and an .898 save percentage. Kahkonen is likely to remain in the minors for the remainder of 2024-25 unless Sergei Bobrovsky or Vitek Vanecek suffer an injury.

Chris Driedger G | WPG
Jets' Chris Driedger: Joining hometown club
Driedger was traded to the Jets from the Panthers on Thursday in exchange for Kaapo Kahkonen, per RDS.ca.
Driedger was undoubtedly disappointed after Florida acquired Vitek Vanecek from San Jose to step into the Panthers' vacant No. 2 role, once again relegating the 30-year-old Driedger to the third spot on the depth chart. While that hasn't changed with his new club, at least he will be playing back in his native Winnipeg when he joins AHL Manitoba.

Alexandar Georgiev G | BUF
Sharks' Alexandar Georgiev: Expected to face former team
Georgiev is set to start on the road against Colorado on Thursday, according to Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now.
Georgiev has won his past two starts while stopping 45 of 49 shots (.918 save percentage). However, it'll be tough to extend that streak against the 36-24-2 Avalanche, who rank eighth in goals per game with 3.24. Georgiev is 12-19-1 with a 3.54 GAA and an .879 save percentage in 36 outings between the Avalanche and San Jose this season. The last time he faced his former team (Dec. 19), Georgiev allowed four goals on 31 shots en route to a 4-2 defeat.

Evan Cormier G | FLA
Panthers' Evan Cormier: Hits waiver wire
Cormier was placed on waivers by the Panthers on Thursday, according to Chris Johnston of The Athletic, indicating he signed a two-way deal with the club.
While the Cats haven't announced anything official, Cormier wasn't even on the NHL roster, but has spent the season at ECHL Savannah, going 14-9-2 with a 3.56 GAA and an .881 save percentage. The 27-year-old has never played in the NHL and this deal is unlikely to change that in the short term.

Korpisalo stopped 31 shots in his last start, defeating the Penguins 3-2 on March 1. Korpisalo is 10-6-2 with three shutouts, a 2.81 GAA and an .895 save percentage in 20 appearances this season. The Hurricanes are scoring 3.18 goals per game this season, 11th in the NHL.
