  • Penguins' Stuart Skinner: Downed in OT

Skinner made 38 saves in Wednesday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Hurricanes.

Neither team was able to build more than a one-goal lead during regulation, and Sean Walker finally ended the see-saw affair with 29 seconds left in OT by blasting a one-timer past Skinner. The six goals allowed were a season high for the 27-year-old netminder, but he's given up at least four in four of his last eight starts while working in a strict tandem with Arturs Silovs, going 2-1-5 over that stretch with a shaky 3.63 GAA and .869 save percentage

  • Lukas Dostal G | ANA

Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Drops result in overtime

Dostal stopped 24 of 27 shots in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Flyers.

Dostal was steady over the second half of regulation time, allowing the Ducks to pull even. Noah Cates scored 2:17 into the extra session to send Dostal to the loss. Over seven outings in March, Dostal has gone 4-2-1, allowing at least three goals in five of those games. The 25-year-old goalie is at a 27-15-3 record with a 3.06 GAA and an .891 save percentage through 47 appearances. The Ducks are off to Utah for their next game Friday.

  • Dan Vladar G | PHI

Flyers' Dan Vladar: Wins in overtime

Vladar stopped 34 of 36 shots in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Ducks.

Vladar allowed goals late in the second and third periods to squander a 2-0 lead. In the end, he was sharp enough, and Noah Cates scored in overtime to secure the Flyers' win. Vladar has won every other contest over his last seven outings, going 4-2-1 in that span. He's up to 22-11-7 on the year with a 2.44 GAA and a .907 save percentage through 42 appearances. Samuel Ersson will likely get the nod Thursday against the Kings, but Vladar should be back between the pipes for Saturday's matinee game versus the Sharks to wrap up this road trip.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Falls to Stars in shootout

Wedgewood stopped 17 of 18 shots in Wednesday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Stars.

Wedgewood picked up a relief win over the Stars on March 6, but he wasn't able to pull off a second victory over his former team. The 33-year-old netminder still put up a pretty good effort, allowing just a Jason Robertson tally in regulation before giving up the lone goal in the shootout. Wedgewood slipped to 26-5-6 with a 2.19 GAA and a .916 save percentage across 38 appearances this season. Wedgewood has started four of the last six games, so he has a slight edge over Mackenzie Blackwood for the top job between the pipes. The Avalanche begin a road trip in Chicago on Friday.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Gets best of Avalanche in shootout

Oettinger stopped 33 of 34 shots in Wednesday's 2-1 shootout win over the Avalanche.

The Avalanche had the better of the play in this contest, but Oettinger held them to a Cale Makar power-play tally late in the first period. This was Oettinger's fourth straight win, a span in which he has allowed just six goals on 117 shots. For the season, the 27-year-old is up to 29-10-5 with a 2.58 GAA and a .902 save percentage through 44 starts. The Stars have a tough pair of games this weekend, as they visit the Wild on Saturday before hosting the Golden Knights on Sunday. Oettinger will likely get the road game in his home state before Casey DeSmith handles the second half of the back-to-back.

  • Joel Hofer G | STL

Blues' Joel Hofer: Takes shootout loss

Hofer stopped 30 of 31 shots in Wednesday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Flames.

Hofer saw the puck get past him a few times, but the Blues successfully overturned an NHL-record-tying three goals via challenges. That kept the damage to a minimum on Hofer, who took just his second defeat since the Olympic break (5-1-1) while posting another strong outing. He's now at a 17-11-5 record with a 2.65 GAA and a .908 save percentage through 37 appearances. Hofer was starting two of every three games earlier in March, but the Blues have switched back to alternating starts between him and Jordan Binnington. That likely means Binnington will close out the road trip Saturday in Vancouver while Hofer draws the Capitals on Tuesday at home.

  • Devin Cooley G | CGY

Flames' Devin Cooley: Sharp in shootout win

Cooley stopped 26 of 27 shots in Wednesday's 2-1 shootout win over the Blues.

Cooley had lost his last four results, giving up 15 goals over five appearances in that span. The 28-year-old netminder was dialed in for this contest, allowing just a Dylan Holloway tally in the second period. Cooley is up to 8-9-4 with a 2.47 GAA and a .916 save percentage across 25 appearances while operating in the backup role behind Dustin Wolf this season. Expect Wolf to get the nod Friday versus the Panthers, but Cooley has played at least once every three games over the last two months.

  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Cruises to win

Thompson stopped 34 of 35 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Senators.

Thompson had previously won just one game over his last five outings despite posting a solid 2.61 GAA in that stretch. The 29-year-old was excellent throughout Wednesday's contest, and while the final score looked like a comfortable win for Washington, the game certainly wasn't as such. Thompson might be on the verge of turning things around if he gets more offensive support. He's allowed just three goals on 69 shots over his last two appearances.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Gives up two goals in loss

Ullmark stopped 21 of 23 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Capitals. The final two goals of the game were empty-netters.

Ullmark entered the matchup with a 4-1-0 record and an .892 save percentage over five games, but he was unable to continue his solid run of play against a Capitals offense that had been struggling in recent weeks. The fact that he only allowed two of Washington's four goals should help offset some of the fantasy backlash from the loss, though he has still allowed three or more goals in three of his last five outings. The Senators will play the second leg of a back-to-back set Thursday against the Islanders, so Ullmark could return to the action Saturday against the Maple Leafs if he gets some rest against New York.

  • Dan Vladar G | PHI

Flyers' Dan Vladar: Tending twine Wednesday

Vladar will guard the road goal versus the Ducks on Wednesday.

Vladar is 3-2-1 with a 2.69 GAA and an .894 save percentage over his last six games. All three of his wins in that span have come on the road. The Ducks have scored 17 goals over their last six contests, but they've also been shut out twice in that span.
