  • Penguins' Alex Nedeljkovic: Chased from crease

Nedeljkovic allowed five goals on 14 shots in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Capitals.

Nedeljkovic got the hook after surrendering two goals eight seconds apart late in the second period, giving the Capitals a 5-2 lead. The 29-year-old drops to 12-10-6 in 28 appearances this season. He will be a shaky fantasy option for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign behind a struggling team that will probably be sellers at the trade deadline.

  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Defending crease Saturday

Kochetkov will guard the road goal versus Toronto on Saturday.

Kochetkov has won four of his last six outings (4-1-1), stopping 156 of 170 shots. He has a 20-10-3 record with one shutout, a 2.50 GAA and a .904 save percentage through 34 appearances this season. Toronto sits 12th in the league with 3.07 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • John Gibson G | DET

Ducks' John Gibson: Set to face Boston

Gibson is expected to start on the road against the Bruins on Saturday, per Andrew Fantucchio of Boston Hockey Now.

Gibson has a 9-9-2 record, 2.70 GAA and .914 save percentage in 23 appearances in 2024-25. He stopped 26 of 27 shots en route to a 2-1 victory over Dallas on Feb. 4 in his last start. Boston ranks 25th in goals per game with 2.75.

  • Lightning's Jonas Johansson: Remains unavailable

Johansson (lower body) is expected to be unavailable for Sunday's home game versus Seattle, according to Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times.

Johansson didn't participate in Saturday's practice, prompting the Lightning to summon Matt Tomkins from AHL Syracuse to occupy the backup role behind Andrei Vasilevskiy. The 29-year-old Johansson has a 6-5-1 record with one shutout, a 3.24 GAA and an .892 save percentage through 13 appearances this season. It's unclear when he will be ready to return to the lineup.

  • Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Starting Saturday

Montembeault will start on the road versus the Senators on Saturday.

Montembeault was with Team Canada during the 4 Nations Face-Off, but the 28-year-old served as the third goaltender and didn't get any game action. That makes him fairly well rested coming out of the break. He'll draw the start against the Senators, who have averaged 2.80 goals per game this season, though they also have the 10th-best power play in the league with a 23.4 percent success rate.

  • Lightning's Matt Tomkins: Up from minors

Tomkins was summoned from AHL Syracuse on Saturday.

Tomkins has a 2.54 GAA and a .911 save percentage in 22 appearances with Syracuse in 2024-25. Jonas Johansson is dealing with a lower-body injury and didn't participate in Saturday's practice, so Tomkins will likely be the backup goaltender behind Andrei Vasilevskiy versus Seattle on Sunday.

Predators' Juuse Saros: In goal Saturday

Saros will protect the home net versus Colorado on Saturday.

Saros has surrendered 19 goals on 159 shots during his five-game losing skid. He has posted a record of 11-23-6 with four shutouts, a 2.95 GAA and an .898 save percentage through 41 appearances this season. Colorado ranks ninth in the league with 3.25 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Set to face former team

Wedgewood (upper body) is set to start on the road against Nashville on Saturday, according to Conor McGahey of Altitude TV.

Wedgewood last started Jan. 25 and was unavailable for Colorado's past four games due to injury. He has a 5-3-0 record, 2.40 GAA and .910 save percentage in nine appearances since being acquired by Colorado from Nashville on Nov. 30. He will play against his former team for the first time since the trade. The Predators rank 29th in goals per game with 2.65.

  • Joey Daccord G | SEA

Kraken's Joey Daccord: Starting in Florida

Daccord will guard the road goal against the Panthers on Saturday, according to David Dwork of The Hockey News.

Daccord has two wins in his last six outings (2-3-1) while allowing 17 goals on 192 shots. He has a 19-14-3 record with one shutout, a 2.49 GAA and a.915 save percentage across 38 appearances this season. Florida sits fifth in the league with 3.30 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Expected to start Saturday

Luukkonen is set to start at home against the Rangers on Saturday, per Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News.

Luukkonen has an 18-16-4 record, 3.02 GAA and .895 save percentage in 39 outings in 2024-25. He has allowed at least three goals in each of his past three starts, though he still ended up winning two of those games. The Rangers rank 14th in goals per game with 2.98.
