Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Slated to start Sunday
Dostal is expected to start for Czechia against Switzerland on Sunday at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Dostal stopped 31 of 36 shots en route to a 5-0 loss to Team Canada on Thursday. Czechia rebounded from that loss with a 6-3 victory over France on Friday, but Dostal wasn't in net for that match. Switzerland earned a 4-0 victory over France on Thursday, but the Swiss squad then suffered a 5-1 defeat to Canada on Friday. Dostal has a 21-13-2 record, 2.92 GAA and .897 save percentage in 38 outings with Anaheim in 2025-26.

Brandon Halverson G | TB
Lightning's Brandon Halverson: Fourth shutout of AHL season
Halverson posted a 16-save shutout in AHL Syracuse's 5-0 win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday.
Halverson is up to four shutouts in 26 appearances this season, one shy of his shutout total from 43 games in the 2024-25 regular season. He's added a 16-6-3 record with a 2.31 GAA and a .907 save percentage. Halverson remains an effective option for organizational depth, but he won't see much action with the Lightning as long as Andrei Vasilevskiy and Jonas Johansson stay healthy.

Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Overcomes early wobbles in USA win
Swayman made 18 saves for Team USA in a 6-3 win over Team Denmark at the 2026 Winter Olympics on Saturday.
Swayman wobbled early, giving up two goals on the first four shots, but he shook that off and gave his team a chance to come back for the win. It was his first start at the Olympics. Swayman came into the tournament with a 22-12-3 record, 2.92 GAA and .903 save percentage in 38 outings with Boston this season.

Juuse Saros G | NSH
Predators' Juuse Saros: Busy netminder at Olympics
Saros made 15 saves Saturday in Team Finland's 11-0 win over Team Italy at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
Saros backstopped Finland to a 4-1 win over Sweden on Friday. Finland is now in a strong position to earn the wild card with a plus-11 goal differential, and that would mean a bye to the quarterfinals. Saros has played 178:49 in the tournament, the most of any netminder. He's 2-1-0 with a 1.34 GAA and a .946 save percentage through three games at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Mads Sogaard G | OTT
Senators' Mads Sogaard: Suffers injury Saturday
Sogaard (lower body) left midway through the third period of Denmark's 6-3 loss to Team USA on Saturday at the 2026 Olympics, per Shawn Roarke of NHL.com.
He stopped 32 of 37 shots before leaving the match. According to Mark Masters of TSN, Sogaard initially sustained the injury in the second period, and it got worse. Frederik Dichow entered the game and allowed America's sixth goal. It's unclear whether Sogaard will be an option for Denmark versus Latvia on Sunday. However, it wouldn't be surprising if Frederik Andersen got the start Sunday regardless of Sogaard's availability. Andersen got Saturday's game off after being in the net for Thursday's 3-1 loss to Germany.

Senators' Mads Sogaard: Tending twine Saturday
Sogaard will defend the crease for Denmark against the United States on Saturday at the 2026 Winter Olympics, Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press reports.
Sogaard will make his Olympic debut after Frederik Andersen played in Thursday's 3-1 loss to Germany. The 25-year-old Sogaard has spent most of the 2025-26 season with AHL Belleville, where he has posted a 4-8-4 record with a 3.30 GAA and an .889 save percentage across 18 appearances.

Philipp Grubauer G | SEA
Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Comes up short against Latvia
Grubauer made 18 saves in Germany's 4-3 loss to Latvia in Olympic round-robin play Saturday.
After allowing power-play goals in the first and second period, Grubauer stumbled in the third by allowing two even-strength tallies a little over three minutes apart, and the German offense couldn't climb out of the hole. Grubauer has given up five goals on 60 shots through two games in the tournament, and as the only netminder on the roster with NHL experience, the 34-year-old Kraken goalie could be back in the crease Sunday against the United States.

Arturs Silovs G | PIT
Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Nabs win over Germany
Silovs turned aside 26 shots in Latvia's 4-3 win over Germany in Olympic round-robin play Saturday.
After Elvis Merzlikins surrendered five goals to the United States in Latvia's tournament opener, it was Silovs' turn between the pipes, and he delivered a more promising result. However, the Pittsburgh netminder might hand the crease back to Merzlikins on Sunday against Denmark.

Jacob Markstrom G | NJ
Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Secures big win over Slovakia
Markstrom stopped 29 shots in Sweden's 5-3 win over Slovakia in Olympic round-robin play Saturday.
After Filip Gustavsson started the first two games of the tournament for Sweden, Markstrom was between the pipes for the crucial third game and came through with a solid performance to secure his team a 2-1 record in the round robin. However, Gustavsson still appears to be the No. 1 in net as Sweden heads into the elimination games.

Samuel Hlavaj G | MIN
Wild's Samuel Hlavaj: Can't weather storm against Sweden
Hlavaj made 46 saves in Slovakia's 5-3 loss to Sweden on Saturday in Olympic round-robin action.
Slovakia got outshot 51-32 in the contest, but Hlavaj came up with several big saves to keep his team in the game. The 24-year-old Wild prospect allowed six goals on 91 shots in his two Olympic starts. Slovakia has a 2-1 record in the preliminary round, but whether the team receives a bye to the quarterfinals or will have to play in Tuesday's qualification round hinges on the result of Finland's final round-robin game against Italy.
