Ilya Sorokin G | NYI
Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Concedes once in win
Sorokin allowed just one goal on 26 shots in a 3-1 victory over Columbus on Monday.
Sorokin certainly bounced back from his previous appearances, a 5-3 defeat to the Flyers on Jan. 16 in which he gave up four goals on 23 shots (.826 save percentage). It's been a solid January for the Russian netminder, as he is 3-2-0 with a .921 save percentage and one shutout in five outings. Sorokin should be expected to split the upcoming back-to-back with Marcus Hogberg, taking on either the Flyers on Friday or the Hurricanes on Saturday.

Elvis Merzlikins G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Win streak ends
Merzlikins gave up three goals on 25 shots in a 3-1 loss to the Islanders on Monday.
Merzlikins was beaten for the first time since Jan. 2 against the Red Wings, a stretch of four wins during which he registered a 2.45 GAA and a .906 save percentage. With the Jackets heading into a road back-to-back versus the Leafs and Canes on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, look for Merzlikins to split the goaltending duties with Daniil Tarasov -- though it's possible the team could bring Jet Greaves back up from the minors.

Adin Hill G | LV
Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Falls in shootout
Hill stopped just one shootout attempt in Monday's 5-4 defeat to St. Louis while also giving up four goals on 28 shots.
Hill and fellow netminder Ilya Samsonov have been going every other game over the Knights' last 12 outings, posting a 2-3-1 record and a 2.53 GAA in his six appearances. While the 28-year-old HIll's ratios have been okay, his inability to put together wins could see Samsonov get more opportunities if Hill doesn't start picking up victories.

Jordan Binnington G | STL
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Secures victory over Knights
Binnington picked up the 5-4 win over Vegas on Monday while still giving up four goals on 32 shots.
Binnington has now conceded four or more goals in four of his last eight outings while posting a 4-4-0 record, 2.79 GAA and one shutout. The fact that his GAA is still below three over the stretch speaks to his wildly inconsistent recent run of form. Still, the 31-year-old netminder remains the preferred option between the pipes in St. Louis ahead of Joel Hofer.

Joey Daccord G | SEA
Kraken's Joey Daccord: Picks up win Monday
Daccord secured the 6-4 victory over the Sabres on Monday despite giving up four goals on 29 shots.
Daccord was making his seventh consecutive appearance for the Kraken, having now gone 4-1-0 with a 2.40 GAA and a .919 save percentage over that stretch. An upcoming back-to-back versus the Oilers and Ducks on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, should give the Boston native a night off -- with Philipp Grubauer expected to take one of those two outings.
-
Devon Levi G | BUF
Sabres' Devon Levi: Gives up five goals
Levi conceded five goals on 33 shots in Monday's 6-4 defeat to Seattle.
While Levi has played in five of the Sabres' last seven outings, his performances have been underwhelming. During that stretch, the 23-year-old backstop is 1-4-0 with a 4.31 GAA and an .867 save percentage. At this point, the youngster may be better suited to sit behind James Reimer -- at least until Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (undisclosed) is cleared to return.
-
Joseph Woll G | TOR
Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Third straight win
Woll made 27 saves on 30 shots in a 5-3 win over Tampa Bay on Monday.
It was a career-high 24th start for the season. Woll has now put up three straight wins with three goals allowed in each of those games. He has re-established his cadence after a bit of a soft spot a week ago, and he's 17-8-0 with a 2.67 GAA and .907 save percentage. Anthony Stolarz (knee) was once again on the ice Monday prior to Toronto's morning skate, but he's nowhere near a return. It's Woll's net. You can count on him.
-
Jonas Johansson G | TB
Lightning's Jonas Johansson: Third loss in last four starts
Johansson made 23 saves Monday in a 5-3 loss against Toronto. He allowed four goals, with the fifth goal being an empty-netter.
He wasn't bad, but that's not good enough. Johansson is 5-4-1 with a 3.27 GAA and .899 save percentage this season, and that simply doesn't give the Bolts the kind of steady reliability they need to alleviate pressure on their star, Andrei Vasilevskiy. Johansson has lost three of his last four starts, and he has allowed 13 goals in those four contests. Let him languish on the wire.

Frederik Andersen G | CAR
Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: In goal Monday
Andersen will defend the road crease in Chicago on Monday, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Andersen will make his first start since Oct. 26 after undergoing knee surgery Nov. 22. The veteran netminder was activated off injured reserve Friday and backed up Pyotr Kochetkov against the Golden Knights in his return to the 23-man roster. Andersen will have a favorable matchup against a Chicago club that ranks 29th in the NHL with 2.59 goals per game.

MacKenzie Blackwood G | COL
Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Struggles again Monday
Blackwood turned aside 23 of 26 shots in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Wild.
Although Blackwood has been largely successful since joining the Avalanche, he was charged with a second consecutive loss Monday as he wasn't particularly sharp against Minnesota. The 28-year-old has allowed seven goals on 54 shots (.870 save percentage) over his last two starts, and it certainly seems possible that the Avalanche will give him a breather Wednesday against the Jets in order to regroup. If Blackwood sits Wednesday, Scott Wedgewood would presumably draw the start.
