  • Jesper Boqvist LW | FLA

Panthers' Jesper Boqvist: Out again Sunday

Boqvist (upper body) won't play Sunday against the Lightning, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.

Boqvist will miss a second straight game after suffering an upper-body injury late in Wednesday's win over Minnesota. With Boqvist and Jonah Gadjovich (upper body) both sidelined, Rasmus Asplund will enter Florida's bottom six.

  • Panthers' Jonah Gadjovich: Unavailable Sunday

Gadjovich (upper body) won't play against Tampa Bay on Sunday, according to Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.

Gadjovich has contributed one goal, 56 hits and 11 shots on net in 18 appearances this season. With Gadjovich and Jesper Boqvist (upper body) unavailable to play versus the Lightning, the Panthers called up Rasmus Asplund from AHL Charlotte on Sunday to be in the lineup.

  • Panthers' Spencer Knight: Starting in Tampa

Knight will defend the road net Sunday against the Lightning, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.

This will be just the second start in eight games for Knight, who's 5-5-1 with an .890 save percentage and 2.85 GAA on the season. The 23-year-old netminder will have a tough task against a Tampa Bay team that's averaging a league-best four goals per game.

  • Jason Zucker LW | BUF

Sabres' Jason Zucker: Draws power-play assist

Zucker registered a power-play assist and two hits in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Bruins.

Zucker ended a three-game point drought when he set up John-Jason Peterka's second-period goal. The 32-year-old Zucker has mostly avoided dry spells this season. He's up to 22 points (eight on the power play) with 59 shots on net, 37 PIM, 33 hits and a plus-1 rating over 34 contests. He's been playing on the top line recently, so Zucker has significant upside in fantasy as long as he can maintain that role alongside Tage Thompson and Alex Tuch.

  • Sabres' John-Jason Peterka: Strikes on power play Saturday

Peterka scored a power-play goal on four shots in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Bruins.

Peterka has broken out of a slump, racking up two goals and five assists over his last six games. Notably, he's done much of it on the second line, though his role on the first power-play unit should help to stabilize his offense. The 22-year-old winger is up to 10 goals, 24 points (seven on the power play), 65 shots on net and a minus-10 rating through 32 appearances this season.

  • Bruins' Nikita Zadorov: Picks up helper

Zadorov notched an assist, three hits and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Sabres.

Zadorov ended his seven-game drought with the helper on Charlie Coyle's first-period tally. The 29-year-old Zadorov hasn't done much on offense this season with nine points and 45 shots on net through 35 contests. He's maintained a top-four role while adding 99 hits, 67 PIM, 36 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating.

  • Bruins' Charlie Coyle: Lights lamp Saturday

Coyle scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Sabres.

This tally ended Coyle's eight-game goal drought, during which he had just one assist. The 32-year-old has mostly served as a third-line center in 2024-25, but he was moved up to right wing on the top line for Saturday's contest. Coyle has eight goals, two assists, 46 shots on net, 54 hits, 26 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating through 35 appearances. If he sticks in the top six, it could unlock more offense in his game.

  • Bruins' Morgan Geekie: Gets game-winner on power play

Geekie scored a power-play goal on two shots and added four hits in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Sabres.

Geekie's goal at 18:15 of the third period gave the Bruins a late game-winner. He has three goals and an assist over his last four contests. For the season, the 26-year-old forward is at seven goals, 13 points (three on the power play), 59 shots on net, 45 hits and a minus-7 rating over 30 appearances. Geekie's worth a look in fantasy as long as he remains in the Bruins' top six.

  • Brad Marchand LW | BOS

    Bruins' Brad Marchand: Deposits empty-netter

Marchand scored an empty-net goal and added three hits in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Sabres.

Marchand has been among the Bruins' steadiest forwards in December with six goals and four assists during his nine-game point streak. The winger is up to 14 goals, 13 helpers, 102 shots on net, 34 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-1 rating through 35 appearances. Marchand's offense alone makes him a reliable fantasy forward, and his more abrasive tendencies can help in formats that count hits and PIM.

  • Devils' Dougie Hamilton: Snags helper in win

Hamilton registered an assist, four shots on goal and two PIM in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Penguins.

Hamilton set up a Nico Hischier tally in the third period. The 31-year-old Hamilton ended a seven-game point drought with that helper, though his slump on offense hasn't cost him much playing time. He remains in a top-four role with power-play time. He's at 22 points, 108 shots on net, 50 blocked shots, 36 hits, 18 PIM and a plus-2 rating through 36 contests. Hamilton is unlikely to repeat his 74-point season from 2022-23, but he's back to being a strong scorer from the blue line after missing most of 2023-24.
