  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Sharp in victory

Vasilevskiy made 19 saves Tuesday in s 4-2 win over Detroit.

His team spotted him a 3-0 lead by the 8:41 mark of the second frame, but the outcome was never in doubt. The Wings did claw back after turning the heat up in the third period, but Vasilevskiy turned in some big saves to preserve the lead. It was good to see him batten the proverbial hatches and allow just two goals. Vasilevskiy had allowed 13 goals in his previous three games (1-1-1). Overall, he's 7-3-1 with a 2.91 GAA and .879 save percentage.

  • Jackson Blake RW | CAR

Hurricanes' Jackson Blake: Scores lone goal in loss

Blake scored a goal in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Predators.

Blake got the Hurricanes on the board midway through the game, but their offense stalled out there. He has three goals and six assists during a seven-game point streak. For the season, Blake is up to four tallies, 13 helpers, 45 shots on net and a plus-13 rating across 17 appearances in a second-line role. He's earned five of 17 points on the power play.

  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Perfect record spoiled in Nashville

Kochetkov stopped 16 of 19 shots in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Predators.

Kochetkov was undefeated prior to this game, but he wasn't able to keep the winning streak rolling. This was just the second time he's given up more than two goals in a game all season, and it was also his fifth straight start. Kochetkov is 10-1-0 with a 1.64 GAA and a .922 save percentage over 11 starts. He may be due for a rest soon, but it's not yet clear if that will lead to a Brandon Bussi start against the Islanders on Thursday.

  • Filip Forsberg LW | NSH

Predators' Filip Forsberg: Keeps rolling with two helpers

Forsberg notched two assists, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.

This was Forsberg's fifth straight multi-point game. He has four goals and seven assists in that span, though this was his first effort during the streak that didn't include a power-play contribution. The 32-year-old winger is up to a total of 19 points (seven on the power play), 37 shots on net, 17 hits, eight blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over 15 appearances.

  • Lightning's Anthony Cirelli: Six points in last six games

Cirelli scored a goal in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Red Wings. He fired five shots.

Cirelli pushed the score to 3-0 at the 8:41 mark of the second period; the goal stood as the winner. It was good to see him put up the five shots -- he had just six in his previous five games. Cirelli has four goals, two assists and 65 face-off wins (54.6 percent) in his last six games. Two of those goals were game winners. Overall, he has five goals, four assists, 22 shots and a 52.1 face-off percentage in 14 games.

  • Predators' Nick Perbix: Puts away first goal

Perbix scored a goal and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.

Perbix has three points over his last two games. That's all of his offense this season, but he's done enough overall to stick around in the NHL after initially clearing waivers to begin the campaign. He's since exhausted the 10 appearances that comes with clearing waivers, so he would have to go through the process again if the Predators want to send him to AHL Milwaukee. With his play trending up, that seems unlikely for now. Perbix has added nine shots on net, 24 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 14 appearances.

  • Adam Edstrom C | NSH

Predators' Adam Edstrom: Nets goal in win

Edstrom scored a goal on two shots, added eight hits and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.

Edstrom is on a three-game point streak (two goals, one assist). The 26-year-old forward also continues to bring the boom with 15 hits in that span. He's a fourth-liner through and through, but he's been able to find the net pretty well with a career-high six goals over 15 games. He's added one assist, 25 shots on net, 71 hits and a plus-1 rating on the year. Edstrom has some appeal in banger leagues due to the high hit totals -- he's already surpassed his total from last year (65), which he accumulated over 35 contests.

  • Ross Colton C | NSH

Predators' Ross Colton: Produces pair of points

Colton scored an empty-net goal, dished an assist and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.

Colton has picked up four points over his last five games after his first multi-point effort of the campaign. The 30-year-old forward is up to three goals, three assists, 21 shots on net, 38 hits and a minus-1 rating across 15 appearances. Colton is a fixture in the Predators' bottom six and should be able to continue providing some secondary scoring throughout the season.

  • Lightning's Nikita Kucherov: Four-game, seven-assist streak

Kucherov put up two assists Tuesday in a 4-2 win over Detroit.

He set up Brayden Point on both goals; it was Point's first multi-goal game this season. Kucherov is on a four-game, seven-assist streak (10 shots), but he is stuck at four goals in 14 games after averaging 42 over the last three seasons. Kuch is shooting as much as he did last season, but his puck luck has been miserable. Last regular season, his shooting percentage was 19.0, but it's just 10.5 this year. Kucherov will go on a run soon, but it remains to be seen if that's in Tampa Bay or elsewhere.

  • Roman Josi D | NSH

Predators' Roman Josi: Goal, assist in win

Josi scored a goal on three shots, dished an assist and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.

The goal was Josi's first since Opening Night versus the Wild. The 36-year-old defenseman has remained productive as a facilitator -- he has earned seven helpers over his last five outings. Overall, he has two goals, 15 assists, 43 shots on net, 25 blocked shots, 12 PIM and a plus-4 rating across 15 appearances this season.
