Islanders' Emil Heineman: Scores twice in loss

Heineman scored two goals and added five hits in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Kings.

Heineman has three goals over his last four contests. The 24-year-old's scoring pace has slowed down in the latter half of the campaign, but he continues to play in a top-six role that should give him plenty of opportunities to contribute. Heineman has 18 goals, 26 points, 144 shots on net, 212 hits, 42 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating over 66 appearances this season.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

All three goals against came in the first period. Sorokin was steady after that, but the Islanders weren't able to pull off another comeback win. Sorokin has gone 2-2-0 with 12 goals allowed on 116 shots over four contests in March. The 30-year-old is down to 24-15-2 with a 2.52 GAA and a .913 save percentage over 41 appearances this season. David Rittich will play Saturday versus the Flames, but Sorokin should be back between the pipes for a favorable matchup Tuesday in Toronto.

  • Trevor Moore LW | LA

Kings' Trevor Moore: Deposits opening goal in win

Moore scored a goal on three shots and blocked three shots in Friday's 3-2 win over the Islanders.

Moore got the scoring started at 3:33 of the first period on a breakaway goal. The winger has three points over his last four contests, providing steady depth scoring in a middle-six role. Moore is up to eight goals, 19 points, 105 shots on net, 41 hits, 29 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating through 52 outings this season. He's on pace for one of his lowest-scoring full campaigns, so most fantasy managers will be able to find better options on the waiver wire in standard formats.

  • Kings' Anze Kopitar: Finds twine in win

Kopitar scored a goal on three shots and went plus-2 in Friday's 3-2 win over the Islanders.

Kopitar's four-game point streak was snapped in Boston on Tuesday, but he's right back at it. The addition of Artemi Panarin via trade has boosted Kopitar's production as the Kings look to keep pace in the playoff race. Kopitar is up to eight goals, 28 points, 67 shots on net, 46 blocked shots and a plus-16 rating across 50 outings this season.

  • Adrian Kempe RW | LA

Kings' Adrian Kempe: Tallies game-winner Friday

Kempe scored a goal on four shots in Friday's 3-2 win over the Islanders.

Kempe's point streak is up to seven games (five goals, four assists) after his tally late in the first period. The 29-year-old's goal stood as the game-winner despite the Islanders' comeback push. Kempe is up to 26 goals, 57 points, 185 shots on net, 113 hits, 56 PIM and a plus-11 rating over 65 appearances. He continues to look good alongside Artemi Panarin and Anze Kopitar on the Kings' top line.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Holds on for win

Kuemper stopped 21 of 23 shots in Friday's 3-2 win over the Islanders.

Kuemper had a 3-0 lead to work with after one period, and he was able to protect it despite allowing a goal to Emil Heineman in each subsequent frame. This was Kuemper's second win in four outings in March. The 35-year-old goalie is up to 16-13-10 with a 2.68 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 41 starts this season. Look for Anton Forsberg to get the nod in Saturday's game versus the Devils to finish off this back-to-back set.

  • Flames' Justin Kirkland: Two goals in AHL win

Kirkland scored twice in AHL Calgary's 7-2 win over Manitoba on Friday.

Kirkland has four goals over four games in March. The 29-year-old forward has been in the AHL since the start of February after a stint with the Flames. He has 15 points through 28 appearances at the AHL level overall this season.

  • Aydar Suniev LW | CGY

Flames' Aydar Suniev: Puts up three points Friday

Suniev scored twice and added an assist in AHL Calgary's 7-2 win over Manitoba on Friday.

Suniev has five goals and an assist over his last seven contests. The 21-year-old forward has scored fairly well this season, earning 15 goals in 47 appearances, but he's added just four assists with a minus-22 rating. He'll need to improve his all-around performance to push for a spot with the Flames.

  • Canucks' Braeden Cootes: Puts up four points in WHL blowout

Cootes scored a goal and added three assists in WHL Prince Albert's 11-0 win over Moose Jaw on Friday.

Most of the Raiders' lineup had good games, and Cootes was right there with them. He had missed a bit of time due to an injury earlier in March, but he looks good to go now. Cootes is up to 22 goals and 57 points through 42 appearances between Prince Albert and Seattle in his fourth campaign in the WHL. The 19-year-old forward could compete for a spot with the Canucks in 2026-27, as the team is severely lacking in talent, especially at center.

  • Panthers' Louis Domingue: Earns first shutout of AHL season

Domingue recorded an 18-save shutout in AHL Charlotte's 3-0 win over Bridgeport on Friday.

This was Domingue's first shutout of the season. He has gone 4-3-0 with a 2.78 GAA and an .852 save percentage over eight appearances for Charlotte. The netminder provides the Panthers with some organizational depth should something sideline Sergei Bobrovsky or Daniil Tarasov in the last month-plus of the NHL season.
