Matthew Schaefer D | NYI
Islanders' Matthew Schaefer: Monster performance Thursday
Schaefer scored two even-strength goals on six shots and added a power-play assist in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Wild.
Schaefer led the Islanders with six shots and recorded his first three-point outing of the season -- and his first multi-point effort since Oct. 13. The star blueliner has failed to crack the scoresheet just three times all season long and is currently riding a six-game point streak, notching eight points (four goals, four assists), 24 shots on goal and three hits over that span while averaging a robust 28:06 TOI/G.

Ilya Sorokin G | NYI
Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Makes 22 saves in overtime win
Sorokin stopped 22 of 25 shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Wild.
Sorokin allowed one goal in each period of regulation before keeping Minnesota off the scoreboard in the extra frame. His established starting role continues to provide considerable fantasy value, although inconsistent save efficiency can occasionally offset his strong win potential. Even though he's won four of his last five appearances (4-1-0), Sorokin also has a slightly subpar .896 save percentage on 135 shots faced in that span.

Jimmy Snuggerud RW | STL
Blues' Jimmy Snuggerud: Scores seventh goal of season
Snuggerud scored a power-play goal on two shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Bruins.
Snuggerud tied the game late in the first period with a one-timer, ending St. Louis' scoring drought at nearly 140 minutes since the Blues hadn't found the back of the net since the 6-2 loss to the Golden Knights on Oct. 22. The winger has seven goals this season, including Thursday's tally, and continues to establish himself as an important scoring option for the Blues, especially since he's averaging 2.2 shots on goal per game.

Robert Thomas C | STL
Blues' Robert Thomas: Collects three points in win
Thomas scored an even-strength goal on two shots and added two power-play assists in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Bruins.
Thomas assisted on both St. Louis power-play goals and scored his second goal of the season during the middle frame. The center now has nine points (two goals, seven assists) through 13 appearances. Thomas' playmaking ability remains his primary fantasy strength, and his prominent role on the top power-play unit should help sustain his production even when his goal-scoring output fluctuates. With nine points in his last nine games, he seems to have left his slow start to the season on the rear view.
-
Philip Broberg D | STL
Blues' Philip Broberg: Three points in win
Broberg scored an even-strength goal on one shot and added two power-play assists in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Bruins.
Broberg had his best game of the season from a scoring perspective, as this was his first three-point effort and just his second multi-point performance of the campaign. The defenseman has three goals and six assists this season, providing encouraging offensive production from the blue line. His involvement in St. Louis' power-play attack adds to his fantasy appeal, although his limited shot generation could restrict his scoring ceiling.
-
Jeremy Swayman G | BOS
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Allows four goals in road defeat
Swayman stopped 14 of 18 shots in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Blues.
Swayman endured a difficult night, finishing with a .778 save percentage as St. Louis capitalized on its limited scoring opportunities. The Bruins generated considerably more shots than their opponents, but the veteran netminder couldn't provide the stability needed to keep them competitive. Swayman's established starting role should continue providing fantasy opportunities, although performances like this can significantly damage his ratios. The 27-year-old goaltender has lost three of his last four appearances, going 1-2-1 with a 3.23 GAA and an .870 save percentage in that span.
-
Joel Hofer G | STL
Blues' Joel Hofer: Stops 31 shots in win over Boston
Hofer stopped 31 of 32 shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Bruins.
Hofer delivered an impressive performance, finishing with a .969 save percentage while helping St. Louis secure a comfortable victory. This strong outing reinforces Hofer's fantasy appeal, and although his long-term value will depend on consistent starts, he seems to have created separation for the No. 1 role for now compared to Jordan Binnington. Hofer has gone 3-1-0 with a 2.00 GAA and an impressive .939 save percentage over his last four starts.

Akira Schmid G | FLA
Panthers' Akira Schmid: Tending twine Friday
Schmid will start Friday's home game against the Jets, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports.
Schmid has picked up wins in each of his last two appearances, and he'll draw a third consecutive start Friday. Across his last five outings, he's gone 4-1-0 with a 2.60 GAA and .893 save percentage. During Tuesday's road start against Winnipeg, Schmid turned aside 24 of 25 shots (.960 save percentage) en route to the 5-1 victory.

Matthew Seminoff RW | DAL
Stars' Matthew Seminoff: Sent to minors
Seminoff was loaned to AHL Texas on Friday.
Seminoff was called up by Dallas on Sunday, and he appeared in three games during his time with the NHL club. He was held scoreless with three hits and two blocked shots while averaging 7:21 of ice time, but he'll now head back to the minors, which signals that some of the Stars' injured forwards could be getting closer to returning.

Mikko Rantanen RW | DAL
Stars' Mikko Rantanen: Helps out twice Thursday
Rantanen recorded two assists, including one on the power play, and served two PIM in Thursday's 5-2 loss to Montreal.
Rantanen slid the primary pass on each of the Stars' goals Thursday, including Wyatt Johnston's power-play tally midway through the first period. The 20-year-old Rantanen is up to 10 assists, 16 points, a plus-6 rating, 25 shots on net and 13 hits across 13 appearances this season. He's provided elite-level fantasy production so far, and has been heating up with three multi-point outings over his last five games. Fantasy managers who used a high pick on him should expect Rantanen to get back to 90-point range, barring injury.
