  • Chase Stillman RW | DET

Red Wings' Chase Stillman: Waived by Detroit

Stillman (undisclosed) was placed on waivers by the Red Wings on Thursday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Stillman began the regular season on the injured non-roster list due to an undisclosed issue, but his placement on waivers indicates that he's back to full health. The 23-year-old should head to AHL Grand Rapids if he clears waivers.

  • J.T. Compher LW | DET

Red Wings' J.T. Compher: Lands on IR

Compher (undisclosed) was designated for injured reserve Thursday.

Compher has already been ruled out for the Wings' next two games, but his retroactive designation would allow him to be activated at any point following those contests. In a corresponding move, the club activated defenseman Jacob Bernard-Docker (upper body) off IR.

  • Red Wings' Jacob Bernard-Docker: Activated by Detroit

Bernard-Docker (upper body) was activated from injured reserve Thursday.

Bernard-Docker began the regular season on injured reserve due to his upper-body issue, but he's been cleared to return after missing the Red Wings' first three games of the year. He made 63 regular-season appearances for Detroit last year, recording a goal, four assists, 87 blocked shots, 66 hits and 25 PIM while averaging 14:49 of ice time.

  • Devils' Jonas Siegenthaler: Progressing in recovery

Siegenthaler (undisclosed) is improving and hasn't been ruled out against Vancouver on Saturday, Kristy Flannery of The Hockey News reports.

According to head coach Sheldon Keefe, Siegenthaler could be on the ice Friday in the hopes of playing in Saturday's tilt. If the veteran blueliner can't go, the team may have to call up a defenseman from the minors, unless Johnny Kovacevic (knee) is ready to play.

  • Devin Cooley G | CGY

Flames' Devin Cooley: Set to defend home crease Thursday

Cooley is slated to start Thursday's home game against the Avalanche, Pat Steinberg of QR Calgary 770 AM reports.

Cooley and Dustin Wolf have alternated starts to begin the regular season, and that will continue for Thursday's matchup. During Cooley's regular-season debut in Vancouver on Saturday, he allowed three goals on 25 shots during a 4-1 loss.

  • Joel Hofer G | STL

Blues' Joel Hofer: Tending twine Thursday

Hofer will defend the home crease in Thursday's clash with the Sharks, per Lou Korac of NHL.com.

Hofer is set to lead the Blues onto the ice for Thursday's home opener after being handed his first loss of the new season in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to Chicago. The 26-year-old goaltender has posted solid numbers to begin the campaign, compiling a 1-1-0 record, a 1.02 GAA and a .955 save percentage across 44 shots on net between two appearances. He'll enter Thursday's contest as a solid No. 2 goalie option in fantasy with a decent matchup against the Sharks, who were shut out by the Stars on Monday.

  • Sharks' Alex Nedeljkovic: Making season debut Thursday

Nedeljkovic will guard the road goal in Thursday's contest against the Blues, per Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now.

Nedeljkovic will lead the Sharks onto the ice for the first time this season after dealing with an illness leading into Opening Night. He's backed up Yaroslav Askarov in all three contests thus far. The 30-year-old Nedeljkovic had a solid first season with San Jose in 2025-26, where he posted an 18-14-4 record, a 2.87 GAA and an .896 save percentage across 40 regular-season outings. If he impresses in his season debut in Thursday's outing against the Blues, the veteran netminder could be in line for more opportunities moving forward with Askarov's shaky start to the campaign.

  • Sharks' Macklin Celebrini: Deemed game-time decision

Celebrini (lower body) is considered a game-time decision for Thursday's game against the Blues, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.

Celebrini is considered day-to-day after he was a late scratch for Monday's game against the Stars due to a lower-body injury. He participated in Thursday's morning skate after being evaluated over the past few days, but the Sharks will wait to see how he feels in the hours leading up to Thursday's puck drop before determining his status against St. Louis. Ty Dellandrea is a candidate to remain in the lineup if Celebrini is unavailable.

  • Mammoth's Mikhail Sergachev: Will play Thursday

Sergachev (upper body) will play in Thursday's game against the Bruins, Cole Bagley of KSL Sports reports.

Sergachev departed Tuesday's game against the Devils in the second period due to an upper-body injury, but he participated in Thursday's morning skate and will be in the lineup against Boston. The 28-year-old has had a hot start to the season, recording a goal, five assists, six blocked shots, six PIM and three hits while averaging 20:58 of ice time over his first four appearances.

  • Kraken's Ryan Lindgren: Expected to miss 4-6 weeks

Lindgren (upper body) was placed on injured reserve by the Kraken on Thursday and is expected to miss four to six weeks.

Lindgren suffered the upper-body injury in the first period of Tuesday's clash against the Golden Knights before he ultimately was removed from the game ahead of the second stanza. Prior to going down, the 28-year-old blueliner compiled a plus-three rating, seven PIM, three shots on goal and four blocked shots across four outings to begin the 2026-27 campaign. While he is sidelined over the next four to six weeks, Josh Mahura is expected to see an increased role.
