Sabres' Gavin Bayreuther: Acquired in minor-league swap
Buffalo obtained Bayreuther from Carolina on Saturday in exchange for Viktor Neuchev.
Bayreuther has four goals and 13 points in 33 minor-league appearances this season. After starting the season with AHL Chicago, he will report to Rochester following the trade. The 31-year-old blueliner has five goals and 28 points in 122 career NHL regular-season outings, but it's unclear if he will get a chance to see any action with the Sabres this campaign.

Brad Marchand LW | FLA
Panthers' Brad Marchand: Taken off injured reserve
Marchand (undisclosed) was activated off injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site. That sets the stage for him to play Saturday in Minnesota.
Marchand hasn't been in the lineup since Jan. 6 because of the injury. He has 23 goals, 46 points, 32 PIM, 115 shots and 33 hits in 41 outings in 2025-26. The 37-year-old is likely to serve in a middle-six capacity and on the first power-play unit in his return.

Martin Necas C | COL
Avalanche's Martin Necas: Adds pair of assists
Necas recorded two assists, nine shots on net and three hits in Friday's 7-3 loss to the Flyers.
Necas has three goals and six helpers over his last seven games. The 27-year-old is still racking up offense even as the Avalanche have faltered a bit over the last few weeks. Necas has 62 points (22 goals, 40 assists), 119 shots on net, 53 hits, 26 PIM and a plus-40 rating across 49 appearances.

Nathan MacKinnon C | COL
Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Logs pair of assists
MacKinnon registered two assists and two PIM in Friday's 7-3 loss to the Flyers.
MacKinnon has four multi-point efforts over his last seven games, racking up three goals and 10 assists in that span. The superstar center is up to 87 points (38 goals, 49 helpers) through 49 outings this season. He's added 226 shots on net, 43 hits, 26 blocked shots and a plus-47 rating. The Avalanche have faced their first adversity of the season during a 4-4-2 stretch, but MacKinnon keeps humming along.

Parker Kelly LW | COL
Avalanche's Parker Kelly: Nets goal in loss
Kelly scored a goal on two shots in Friday's 7-3 loss to the Flyers.
Kelly has two goals over his last three games and a total of five points in his last eight outings. The 26-year-old forward continues to find ways to get involved from the fourth line. He's up to 10 goals, 18 points, 64 shots on net, 100 hits, 34 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating over 49 appearances. Kelly's production could be useful in deeper fantasy formats, though his place in the lineup invites some risk for managers seeking consistent offense.

Emil Andrae D | PHI
Flyers' Emil Andrae: Snags assist Friday
Andrae posted an assist and two PIM in Friday's 7-3 win over the Avalanche.
Andrae ended a 13-game point drought with the helper. The 23-year-old defenseman's ice time has slipped with a move to the third pairing, though that's more of a product of the Flyers missing just Rasmus Ristolainen (upper body) on the blue line. Andrae is at 11 points, 26 shots on net, 44 hits, 39 blocked shots, 16 PIM and a plus-12 rating through 39 contests this season, so fantasy managers can afford to wait and see if his game grows some more.

Bobby Brink RW | MIN
Flyers' Bobby Brink: Scores again Friday
Brink scored a goal on two shots in Friday's 7-3 win over the Avalanche.
Brink has scored in consecutive games and has added six shots over three contests since returning from an upper-body injury. The winger is up to a career-high total of 13 goals in just 44 outings this season, fueled by a 16.9 shooting percentage. He's added nine assists, 77 shots on net, 52 hits, 26 blocked shots and 20 PIM. If he can keep up his scoring and add a few more assists, he'll be a fine depth forward in fantasy.

Martin Fehervary D | WAS
Capitals' Martin Fehervary: Provides pair of assists
Fehervary logged two assists, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 3-1 win over the Flames.
Fehervary has earned seven assists over 12 outings in January, making this his most productive month of the campaign. That also gives him some appeal as a physical defenseman in certain fantasy formats. For the season, the 26-year-old has three goals, 19 points, 56 shots on net, 60 hits, 104 blocked shots, 23 PIM and a plus-15 rating over 52 appearances.

Hendrix Lapierre C | WAS
Capitals' Hendrix Lapierre: Nets rare goal
Lapierre scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Friday's 3-1 win over the Flames.
This was Lapierre's first NHL goal since April 28, 2024 in the playoffs versus the Rangers. His last regular-season goal was March 18, which also came against the Flames. The 23-year-old's development has somewhat stalled out -- he had 22 points in 51 contests in 2023-24, but he has just 15 points over his last 76 outings. This season, he's at a goal, six assists, 37 shots on net, 27 hits and a plus-1 rating in 49 appearances, mainly in a fourth-line role.
