Ilya Sorokin G | NYI
Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Set to start Monday
Sorokin is slated to defend the road crease against Vancouver on Monday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
Sorokin has been stellar since returning from a lower-body injury, going 3-1-0 with a 2.02 GAA, .942 save percentage and two shutouts over his last four starts. He made a home start against the Canucks on Dec. 19, turning aside 27 of 30 shots in a 4-1 loss.

Zach Whitecloud D | CGY
Flames' Zach Whitecloud: Heading to Calgary
Whitecloud, Abram Wiebe, a 2027 first-round pick and a conditional 2028 second-round pick were traded to the Flames from the Golden Knights on Sunday in exchange for Rasmus Andersson, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Whitecloud had been with the Golden Knights since signing with the team as an undrafted free agent in 2018, but he'll be on the move ahead of the Olympic break in early February. The 29-year-old has recorded two goals, five assists, 73 hits, 63 blocked shots and 20 PIM while averaging 18:46 of ice time over 47 appearances with Vegas this year, and he should have an opportunity to carve out a prominent role with the Flames over the second half of the season.

Oskar Back C | DAL
Stars' Oskar Back: Tallies lone goal in loss
Back scored a goal in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Lightning.
Back ended an 11-game point drought with his first-period tally, but that goal was all the Stars could get past Andrei Vasilevskiy. The 25-year-old Back is up to four goals, four assists, 22 shots on net, 21 blocked shots, 15 hits and a plus-4 rating over 39 appearances. He's been a regular in the Stars' bottom six, but he doesn't offer enough offense to help in most fantasy formats.

Jake Oettinger G | DAL
Stars' Jake Oettinger: Yields three goals in loss
Oettinger stopped 22 of 25 shots in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Lightning. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Oettinger didn't get the necessary goal support to steer him out of a rough patch. He's lost six of his last seven games (1-3-3), and this was the fifth time in that span he's given up at least three goals. For the season, Oettinger is down to 17-10-4 with a 2.69 GAA and a .902 save percentage over 31 starts. The Stars' next game is at home versus the surging Bruins on Tuesday, who come into that game on a six-game winning streak.

Rasmus Andersson D | LV
Golden Knights' Rasmus Andersson: Dealt to Vegas
Andersson was traded to the Golden Knights from the Flames on Sunday in exchange for Zach Whitecloud, Abram Wiebe, a 2027 first-round pick and a conditional 2028 second-round pick, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Andersson drew plenty of trade interest from around the league recently, and he'll ultimately head to Vegas. The Flames will retain 50 percent of his contract, and although he's slated to become an unrestricted free agent following the 2025-26 campaign, he'll join the Golden Knights without a contract extension in place. The 29-year-old has recorded 10 goals, 20 assists, 90 blocked shots, 53 PIM and 29 blocked shots while averaging 2:37 of power-play ice time over 48 appearances with Calgary this year.

Pontus Holmberg RW | TB
Lightning's Pontus Holmberg: Fills empty cage
Holmberg scored an empty-net goal on two shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Stars.
With the empty-netter, Holmberg has set a career high in goals with eight. He's netted seven of those tallies in his last 18 games, adding two assists, 26 shots on net, 13 hits and a plus-6 rating in that span. The 26-year-old has done a fine job as a bottom-six forward in his first year with the Lightning, earning 15 points, 52 shots on net, 38 hits, 20 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating through 40 outings overall. He's on a career-best pace, but that's still not enough to gain attention in most fantasy formats.

Brandon Hagel LW | TB
Lightning's Brandon Hagel: Nets game-winner Sunday
Hagel scored a goal on three shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Stars.
Hagel has five goals and seven assists over his last nine outings. His tally Sunday was the game-winner, putting the Lightning ahead 2-1 at 11:04 of the second period. The winger remains one of the team's most consistent forwards. He's earned 23 goals, 43 points, 123 shots on net, 30 hits, 22 blocked shots, 28 PIM and a plus-25 rating through 42 appearances this season, primarily in a top-six role.

Dominic James C | TB
Lightning's Dominic James: Collects two points
James scored a goal on two shots, added an assist, logged two hits and went plus-2 in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Stars.
James snapped a five-game skid with the effort. Despite the burst of offense, he still saw just 11:14 of ice time. James has been decent on the ice in a depth role, earning four goals, 10 points, 30 shots on net, 47 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 32 appearances. He won't be a factor in most fantasy formats unless he can claim a top-six role or power-play time on a regular basis.

Jake Guentzel C | TB
Lightning's Jake Guentzel: Pair of points in Sunday's win
Guentzel scored a goal on three shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Stars.
Guentzel had been held off the scoresheet in the previous two games. This was the third time he's avoided letting a skid reach three contests, as he and Dominic James set up each other's goals to lead the Lightning's offense Sunday. Guentzel is up to 21 goals, 49 points, 127 shots on net, 28 blocked shots, 21 PIM, 20 hits and a plus-9 rating over 47 appearances. He continues to see steady time in the top six and on the first power-play unit.

Andrei Vasilevskiy G | TB
Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Reaches 20-win mark Sunday
Vasilevskiy stopped 19 of 20 shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Stars.
Vasilevskiy allowed the first goal to Oskar Back at 4:00 of the first period, but that was the extent of Dallas' offense. The 31-year-old Vasilevskiy has won nine of his last 10 outings and hasn't lost in regulation since Dec. 18 versus the Kings. The stud netminder has a 20-7-3 record with a 2.22 GAA and a .915 save percentage through 30 outings this season. The Lightning's next game is at home Tuesday versus the Sharks.
