  • Vince Dunn D | SEA

Kraken's Vince Dunn: Two helpers against New Jersey

Dunn picked up two assists, including one on the power play, in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Devils.

It's the third multi-point performance in the last five games for Dunn. The 29-year-old blueliner had a quiet start to the season, but over his last 17 appearances, he has delivered two goals and 13 points, with most of that production (one goal and nine assists) coming on the power play. His 15 power-play points on the season are already just one shy of the career high he set in 2023-24.

  • Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Gets starting nod Thursday

Merzlikins will defend the home cage versus Vancouver on Thursday, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.

Merzlikins will make a rare start, as he has played only once since Dec. 22, a span of 11 games, while Jet Greaves has been the undisputed No. 1 goaltender in Columbus of late. Merzlikins is 6-7-1 this season with a 4.03 GAA and an .877 save percentage across 15 appearances. The Canucks are generating 2.63 goals per game, which ranks 27th in the NHL this season.

  • Avalanche's Zakhar Bardakov: Called up Thursday

Bardakov was recalled from AHL Colorado on Thursday.

Bardakov was sent to the AHL on Tuesday, but he'll rejoin the NHL club following a brief stint in the minors. The 24-year-old has appeared in 32 games with the Avalanche this year, generating a goal, seven assists, 30 hits, 16 blocked shots and six PIM while averaging 7:17 of ice time.

  • Jared McCann C | SEA

Kraken's Jared McCann: Two-point effort in OT loss

McCann scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Devils.

The veteran winger's tally early in the second period tied the game at 2-2, but the Kraken offense went cold the rest of the way. McCann has been locked in since returning from a lower-body injury in late December, and over the last 10 games he's produced five goals and 10 points.

  • Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Falls to Devils in OT

Grubauer made 23 saves in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime loss to New Jersey.

He nearly bailed the Kraken out after an ill-advised change in overtime sprung Nico Hischier for a breakaway, but Hischier's shot just slid under Grubauer's arm. The veteran netminder has gone seven straight starts without taking a regulation loss, posting a 5-0-2 record during that hot streak with a stellar 1.69 GAA and .946 save percentage as he pushes to take over the No. 1 spot in the Seattle crease.

  • Justin Sourdif RW | WAS

Capitals' Justin Sourdif: Ruled out Thursday

Sourdif (upper body) will not play Thursday versus San Jose and is still considered day-to-day, according to Sammi Silber of The Hockey News.

Sourdif will miss is second straight contest. The 23-year-old center is having a fine rookie campaign with nine goals, 10 assists, a plus-15 rating and 55 hits over 45 appearances. Sourdif should tentatively be considered questionable for Saturday's game versus Florida.

  • Tom Wilson RW | WAS

    Capitals' Tom Wilson: Unavailable Thursday

Wilson (lower body) has been ruled out of Thursday's tilt versus San Jose, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.

Wilson will miss his sixth straight game. The power forward has 22 goals, 20 assists, 110 hits and 59 PIM across 41 appearances this season. Wilson's next opportunity to return will be Saturday versus Florida. Look for Brett Leason to remain in the lineup during Wilson's absence.

  • Capitals' Jakob Chychrun: Returning to action Thursday

Chychrun (illness) is available for Thursday's game against San Jose, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.

Chychrun missed the last two games due to an illness, but he's been cleared to return for Thursday's home matchup. Over his eight appearances leading up to his absence, he recorded a goal, three assists, 13 blocked shots, four hits and four PIM while averaging 23:18 of ice time.

  • Sharks' Alex Nedeljkovic: Facing Capitals

Nedeljkovic will patrol the visiting crease in Washington on Thursday, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.

Nedeljkovic will attempt to win his third straight game after victories over Dallas and Columbus. He is 7-8-2 with a 3.12 GAA and an .890 save percentage over 20 appearances this season. Nedeljkovic will have a tough matchup, as the Capitals are tied for eighth in NHL scoring, generating 3.26 goals per game.

  • Flyers' Aleksei Kolosov: Slated to be recalled Thursday

Kolosov is expected to be recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley ahead of Thursday's game in Pittsburgh, per Kevin Kurz of The Athletic.

The Flyers are in need of a goaltender after Dan Vladar (undisclosed) was injured in the opening period Wednesday versus Buffalo. Kolosov is 0-1-0 in a pair of appearances for the Flyers this season, allowing two goals on 28 shots. Kolosov was 9-9-1 with a 2.54 GAA and a .908 save percentage across 19 AHL contests this season.
