Senators' Thomas Chabot: Tallies in Wednesday's win
Chabot scored a goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Rangers.
Chabot snapped a five-game slump with his second-period marker, which put the Senators up 6-0 and chased Jonathan Quick from the contest. The goal was Chabot's fifth of the season, three of which have been scored over his last seven outings. He's at 16 points, 50 shots on net, 59 blocked shots, 23 hits and an even plus-minus rating across 31 appearances in a top-four role.

Senators' Tim Stutzle: Fills empty cage
Stutzle scored an empty-net goal on three shots in Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Rangers.
Stutzle had a 13-game point streak between Dec. 9 and Jan. 5, but he went cold with three scoreless outings after that. The center is warming up again with a goal, an assist and nine shots over his last two contests. For the season, the 23-year-old has 20 goals, 47 points, 115 shots on net, 78 hits, 30 blocked shots, 29 PIM and a plus-3 rating through 46 appearances. Batherson scored a power-play goal in Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Rangers.
Batherson opened the scoring at 2:18 of the first period. He has gotten on the scoresheet in three straight games, but he's now 11 contests removed from his last multi-point effort. The 27-year-old winger is up to 18 goals, 42 points (15 on the power play), 94 shots on net, 63 hits, 19 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 43 outings this season, mainly in a top-six role.

Nick Jensen D | OTT
Senators' Nick Jensen: Goal, assist in Wednesday's win
Jensen scored a goal on two shots, added an assist, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Rangers.
Jensen had gone four games without a point prior to Wednesday. The 35-year-old defenseman is up to three goals, 12 points, 30 shots on net, 43 blocked shots, 27 hits, 22 PIM and a minus-12 rating over 44 appearances. He's been given two games off since the holiday break, one of which was in a back-to-back set. It looks like the Senators will manage Jensen's workload a bit, at least while the team is fully healthy on the blue line.

David Perron LW | DET
Senators' David Perron: Earns two points in win
Perron scored a goal, dished an assist, added two PIM and went plus-3 in Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Rangers.
Perron ended his six-game slump with the effort. He entered Wednesday with just one goal over 10 games since his last multi-point effort. The veteran winger is filling a bottom-six role but has also featured regularly on the power play, which has helped him stay productive. He's up nine goals, 23 points, 66 shots on net, 61 hits, 18 PIM and a plus-2 rating through 46 outings this season.

Jake Sanderson D | OTT
Senators' Jake Sanderson: One of each in win
Sanderson scored a goal, added an assist and blocked five shots in Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Rangers.
Sanderson saw a seven-game point streak snapped Tuesday versus the Canucks, but he made up for it Wednesday. The defenseman was one of seven Senators to earn multiple points in this blowout win, and it was his first such performance since Dec. 15 in Winnipeg. Sanderson is up to nine goals, 35 points, 98 shots on net, 92 blocks and a plus-5 rating through 46 appearances. He is on pace to top the 60-point mark for the first time in his career.

Dylan Cozens C | OTT
Senators' Dylan Cozens: Produces three points in win
Cozens scored a goal on four shots, added two assists and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Rangers.
Cozens did all of his work in a four-goal first period for the Senators. One of his helpers came on the power play. The 24-year-old had gone 10 contests without a multi-point effort, earning just one goal and three assists in that span. For the season, the center has 13 goals, 21 helpers, 108 shots on net, 126 hits, 36 PIM and a minus-15 rating across 46 appearances.

Tkachuk scored a goal on six shots, added three assists, went plus-3 and logged two hits in Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Rangers.
The goal was the 200th of Tkachuk's career. The captain led the way with his first multi-point effort since Dec. 20 in this contest. Tkachuk has picked up seven points over eight outings in January, and he's at nine goals, 16 helpers, 108 shots on net, 78 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 26 appearances this season.

Leevi Merilainen G | OTT
Senators' Leevi Merilainen: Takes advantage of easy matchup
Merilainen stopped 18 of 22 shots in Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Rangers.
The Senators took care of business early, which made Merilainen's poor third period (three goals against) a non-issue. He's won his last two starts, but he has allowed five goals on 42 shots in that span. The 23-year-old is at an 8-10-0 record with a 3.37 GAA and an .868 save percentage over 19 appearances. Merilainen's time as the Senators' primary starter should be nearing a close, as James Reimer is now with the team and Linus Ullmark (personal) should be approaching his return. It's unclear if the Senators will keep Merilainen on the roster for a weekend back-to-back with games at home versus the Canadiens on Saturday and in Detroit on Sunday.
