  • Cody Glass C | NJ

Devils' Cody Glass: Scores in Saturday's win

Glass scored a goal on three shots, added two hits and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Red Wings.

Glass has four goals over six outings in April. The 27-year-old center has had a good year from the third line, racking up 19 goals, 26 points, 103 shots on net, 42 hits, 39 blocked shots and 39 PIM over 68 appearances. Glass has just two games left to push for the first 20-goal campaign of his career.

  • Kevin Hayes RW | PIT

Penguins' Kevin Hayes: Gets goal in Saturday's loss

Hayes scored a goal and added two PIM in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Capitals.

Hayes hadn't played since March 3 in Boston. He spent at least seven of those 19 games out of the lineup dealing with an upper-body, though he's often been a healthy scratch this season. The 33-year-old will get a chance to play late in the regular season as the Penguins have rotated their lineup heavily after clinching a playoff spot. Hayes has been limited to six points, 41 shots on net, 32 hits and a minus-4 rating over 26 outings this season.

  • Bryan Rust RW | PIT

Penguins' Bryan Rust: Set to return Sunday

Rust (lower body) is slated to play against Washington on Sunday, according to Tom Gulitti of NHL.com.

Rust sat out Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Capitals, but he is available to return to action in Sunday's matchup. He has accounted for 29 goals, 65 points, 183 shots on net and 70 blocked shots through 71 games this season.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Lifted in loss to Philly

Hellebuyck was pulled from Saturday's loss to the Flyers after allowing five goals on 20 shots faced.

Hellebuyck was removed from the game after the end of the second period, although that could be due to the fact that the Jets need him rested and focused for the final three games of the regular season. Despite the woeful showing Saturday, Hellebuyck has still posted a 2.55 GAA and .895 save percentage over his last nine starts, so he's the best option the Jets have between the pipes for the final three games of the regular season.

  • Cole Hutson D | WAS

Capitals' Cole Hutson: Provides two assists

Hutson notched two assists, two shots on goal and two hits in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Penguins.

Hutson set up Ryan Leonard's second goal of the game -- ultimately the game-winner -- and an Ilya Protas power-play tally. The 19-year-old Hutson has had no trouble adjusting to the NHL so far with 10 points, 21 shots on net, 13 hits and a minus-4 rating over 12 appearances. He will retain rookie status for 2026-27 and will be looking to match his brother Lane Hutson's achievement of bringing home the Calder Trophy next year.

  • Eric Comrie G | WPG

Jets' Eric Comrie: Gives up two goals in relief

Comrie allowed two goals on three shots on goal in Saturday's 7-1 loss to the Flyers.

Comrie entered the game in the final period, but by that time, the Jets were already down 5-1 and had no chance to mount a comeback. Still, that doesn't make this outing any better since he was beaten on two of the three shots he faced. The Jets still have an outside chance to make the playoffs in the final week of the regular season, so they're expected to rely on Connor Hellebuyck between the pipes.

  • Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Available to play Sunday

Malkin (upper body) is expected to return to the lineup against the Capitals on Sunday, according to Michelle Crechiolo of the Penguins' official site.

Malkin is available to return after he missed Saturday's 6-3 loss to Washington. He has collected 19 goals, 61 points and 146 shots on net through 55 outings this season.

  • Alex Ovechkin LW | WAS

Capitals' Alex Ovechkin: Fills empty net

Ovechkin scored an empty-net goal on seven shots in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Penguins.

Over his last 12 games, Ovechkin has eight goals, three assists and 43 shots on net. The 40-year-old superstar has done his part to keep the Capitals in the playoff race, but they must win their last two games and get some help. On the year, Ovechkin has 32 goals, 62 points, 237 shots on net, 128 hits and a minus-5 rating over 80 appearances, which is among the lower point totals in full-length seasons during his career. His five power-play goals this year also represent a career low.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Good to go Sunday

Crosby (lower body) is expected to play against Washington on Sunday, per Michelle Crechiolo of the Penguins' official site.

Crosby is available to return to action after sitting out Saturday's 6-3 loss to Washington. He has amassed 29 goals, 74 points, 158 shots on net and 58 hits across 67 appearances this campaign.

  • Penguins' Stuart Skinner: Tending twine Sunday

Skinner will defend the road net against Washington on Sunday, Michelle Crechiolo of the Penguins' official site reports.

Skinner will get the second half of Pittsburgh's back-to-back after Arturs Silovs played in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Capitals. The 27-year-old Skinner is coming off a 19-save performance in Thursday's 5-2 win over New Jersey. Washington ranks 14th in the league with 3.20 goals per game this season.
