  • Joel Hofer G | STL

Blues' Joel Hofer: Yields three tallies in win

Hofer turned aside 31 of 34 shots on net in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Blackhawks.

Hofer posted a steady performance in Saturday's win, allowing just one goal in each of the three periods. With the victory, he is up to a 22-13-5 record, a 2.59 GAA and a .910 save percentage across 44 appearances this season. Since the Olympic break, Hofer has lost in regulation only twice, posting a 10-2-2 record, a 1.90 GAA and a .936 save percentage across 14 games. With the Blues eliminated from playoff contention, the 25-year-old netminder should receive at least one more chance to place a bow on his strong season. Unless Hofer runs into trouble or is injured next season, he'll likely serve as the Blues' starting netminder for the foreseeable future.

  • Jordan Eberle RW | SEA

    Kraken's Jordan Eberle: Deposits empty-netter

Eberle scored an empty-net goal on two shots and added a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Flames.

Eberle's remained steady in April with three goals and an assist over his last six games. The 35-year-old is up to 26 goals, 55 points, 166 shots on net, 54 hits, 42 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating over 77 appearances. This is his best year for goals since he potted 28 over 80 contests in 2013-14 with the Oilers in his fourth year in the league.

  • Kraken's Matty Beniers: Hits 20-goal mark

Beniers scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Flames.

Beniers had been limited to two helpers over his last eight outings. The 23-year-old center was able to get to the 20-goal mark for the third time in his four full NHL campaigns despite the recent slowdown. He has 48 points, 149 shots on net, 66 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating through 79 appearances this season in a top-line role.

  • Niklas Kokko G | SEA

Kraken's Niklas Kokko: Picks up first NHL win

Kokko stopped 26 of 27 shots in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Flames.

This was Kokko's second NHL appearance and his first start, and he took care of business in a soft matchup. The 22-year-old is getting an unexpected look late in the season since the Kraken are without Joey Daccord (lower body), Philipp Grubauer (lower body) and Matt Murray (personal). The Kraken have three games left on the schedule, coming over a four-day span, so Kokko should be penciled in for at least one more appearance if Daccord and Grubauer remain out. Kokko would likely get two games if Murray is also away from the team for the last week of the season. Next up is the home finale versus the Kings on Monday.

  • Fabian Lysell RW | BOS

Bruins' Fabian Lysell: Puts away two goals for P-Bruins

Lysell scored twice in AHL Providence's 6-3 win over Rochester on Saturday.

Lysell has a career-high 17 goals over 54 appearances this season. He's been held to 42 points in total, eight back of his career-best year in 2023-24. Prior to Saturday, he had been limited to four assists over his last 11 outings.

  • Flyers' Jacob Gaucher: Hat trick for Lehigh Valley

Gaucher scored three goals in AHL Lehigh Valley's 7-3 win over Bridgeport on Saturday.

Gaucher is knocking on the door of a second straight 20-goal season for the Phantoms. He has 19 tallies, 35 points, 95 shots on net and a minus-9 rating over 65 appearances. He had gone five contests without a point prior to Saturday.

  • Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Three-game win streak snapped

Wallstedt made 20 saves in a 2-1 loss to Nashville on Saturday.

Wallstedt was sharp behind a team with Joel Eriksson Ek, Mats Zuccarello and Jared Spurgeon all scratched for rest-related reasons to get ready for the postseason. The loss snapped a personal three-game winning streak for the netminder. Wallstedt hasn't allowed more than two goals in a game since mid-March (3-2-0; five starts). Overall, he's an impressive 17-9-6 with four shutouts, 2.63 GAA and .915 save percentage.

  • Josh Manson D | COL

Avalanche's Josh Manson: Won't finish contest

Manson (upper body) won't return to Saturday's game versus the Golden Knights.

Manson's absence leaves the Avalanche with just five healthy defensemen on the roster. The 34-year-old could be held out for some or all of the team's last three games of the regular season, as the Avalanche don't need to rush him back. If Manson and Cale Makar (upper body) can't play Monday in Edmonton, expect a call-up from AHL Colorado.

  • Wild's Michael McCarron: First goal in 17 games

McCarron scored a goal Saturday in a 2-1 loss to Nashville.

It was his first goal in 17 games. McCarron got his own rebound after tipping a point shot and went blocker side on Justus Annunen in the third. It was his first game against the team that traded him to Minnesota on March 3. McCarron is a bottom-six role player who has just four points (two goals, two assists) in 18 games with his new team. Overall, he has 16 points, including seven goals, in 77 games this season.

  • Matthew Wood RW | NSH

Predators' Matthew Wood: Top-10 rookie sniper this season

Wood scored a goal Saturday in a 2-1 win over Minnesota.

Wood's second-period goal stood as the winner. He scored on a wrist shot from the inside edge of the right circle off a sweet feed from Steven Stamkos. It was Wood's first goal in nine games and 17th overall this season. He sits in a three-way tie with Ben Kindel of the Penguins and Fraser Minten of the Bruins on the rookie sniper list.
