  • Kings' Anton Forsberg: Takes care of business Thursday

Forsberg stopped 24 of 25 shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Canucks.

Forsberg earned his third straight win with this performance. He's started three of the Kings' last five contests, and with momentum on his side, he might be trusted more than Darcy Kuemper to help the Kings' pursuit of a playoff spot. The 33-year-old Forsberg is at 14-11-5 with a 2.65 GAA and a .906 save percentage over 33 outings this season. The Kings have their last home game of the regular season Saturday when they face the Oilers before wrapping up the schedule with a trio of road games against non-playoff teams.

  • Golden Knights' Noah Hanifin: Pockets assist

Hanifin notched an assist and four shots on goal in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken.

Hanifin has three helpers over his last five games. He's gone 15 contests without a goal, adding just four assists with 23 shots on net and 20 blocked shots in that span. The 29-year-old defenseman is at 26 points, 131 shots on net, 112 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating over 68 appearances. Hanifin is overshadowed on offense by Shea Theodore and Rasmus Andersson, but he still gets plenty of ice time in a top-four role as a defensive stalwart.

  • Tomas Hertl C | LV

Golden Knights' Tomas Hertl: Slides power-play assist

Hertl registered a power-play assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken.

Hertl is still stuck in a 17-game goal drought, and this was just his third assist in that span. That's led to him playing on the third line lately, and he'll likely need to show more success on offense before getting back into the top six. He's at 56 points (24 on the power play) with 194 shots on net, 109 hits, 45 blocked shots, 39 PIM and a minus-16 rating over 79 contests, but he's earned just five points in 20 games since the start of March.

  • Golden Knights' Brett Howden: Lights lamp in shootout loss

Howden scored a goal in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken.

Howden has scored three goals and added an assist over four games in April. He's been one of the biggest early beneficiaries of the John Tortorella era in Vegas. Howden has 12 goals, 22 points, 65 shots on net, 97 hits, 39 PIM and a minus-10 rating over 55 appearances this season. He had 23 goals and 40 points in 80 regular-season contests a year ago, so it's not too surprising he's been able to turn up the heat on offense after a slow start to the campaign.

  • Mark Stone RW | LV

Golden Knights' Mark Stone: Pots two goals in shootout loss

Stone scored two goals on four shots and blocked three shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken.

Stone had an even-strength tally midway through the first period and scored on the power play in the second. The 33-year-old winger has five goals and two assists over his last seven outings and has played pretty well since head coach John Tortorella took over for Bruce Cassidy. Stone is at 26 goals, 69 points (25 on the power play), 123 shots on net, 45 blocked shots and a plus-21 rating over 57 appearances. He should continue to see steady top-six minutes, especially since Vegas is in a three-team battle for the top seed in the Pacific Division.

  • Adin Hill G | LV

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Lets lead slip away

Hill stopped 30 of 33 shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken.

Hill had a 3-1 goal lead to protect early in the third period, but it didn't make it to the midway mark of the frame. He then allowed two goals on five shootout attempts to complete the collapse. Hill has gone 1-0-3 with 13 goals allowed over his last four contests, and this blown lead won't help his case for more playing time. He's at a 10-9-6 record with a 3.04 GAA and an .871 save percentage over 27 appearances this season. Expect Carter Hart to get the nod in Saturday's road game versus the Avalanche.

  • Vince Dunn D | SEA

Kraken's Vince Dunn: Provides pair of helpers

Dunn logged two assists, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Golden Knights.

One of Dunn's helpers came on the power play. The 29-year-old defenseman had gone eight games without a point prior to Thursday. He's up to 43 points (21 on the power play), 167 shots on net, 80 blocked shots, 44 PIM and a minus-27 rating through 77 appearances in a top-pairing role.

  • Kraken's Berkly Catton: Tallies in Thursday's shootout win

Catton scored a goal in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Golden Knights.

Catton ended his 11-game goal drought with a third-period tally to set the Kraken on the comeback trail. The 20-year-old has mostly seen third-line usage lately, though the team has tried a number of line combinations amid a late-season skid. Catton also had the decisive goal in the shootout Thursday. He's at seven goals, 17 points, 76 shots on net, 29 PIM and a minus-8 rating over 62 appearances as a rookie this season.

  • Jared McCann C | SEA

Kraken's Jared McCann: Reaches 20-goal mark again

McCann scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Golden Knights.

McCann has scored in two of the last three games and has gotten back to the 20-goal mark on the year. The 29-year-old forward has reached that level in all five of his campaigns with the Kraken. He's at 39 points, 115 shots on net, 40 hits and a minus-8 rating over 51 appearances this season. While McCann is firmly in a middle-six role, he's made good use of his opportunities when healthy to stay productive.

  • Bobby McMann C | SEA

Kraken's Bobby McMann: Nets equalizer Thursday

McMann scored a goal on eight shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Golden Knights.

McMann had gone three games without a point entering this contest. The 29-year-old has now earned nine goals and 13 points over 14 outings for the Kraken since he was traded from the Maple Leafs. In total, he has 28 goals, 45 points, 171 shots on net, 160 hits, 32 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 74 appearances. He's shown an ability to play with a variety of linemates in Seattle, which is a good sign whether he re-signs with the Kraken or opts to move elsewhere in free agency this summer.
