Luke Haymes C | TOR
Maple Leafs' Luke Haymes: Returning to NHL on Thursday
Haymes will be recalled from AHL Toronto ahead of Thursday's game versus the Islanders, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
Haymes will draw into the lineup and make his NHL debut Thursday. Benoit-Olivier Groulx will be sent down to avoid a waivers issue. Haymes could stick with the big club if Dakota Joshua (upper body) misses time after getting hurt Wednesday.

Artur Akhtyamov G | TOR
Maple Leafs' Artur Akhtyamov: Starting Thursday's game
Akhtyamov will be recalled from AHL Toronto and start Thursday's road game versus the Islanders, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
Akhtyamov may stick with the Maple Leafs for the rest of the regular season after Anthony Stolarz (lower body) sustained an injury Wednesday versus the Capitals. Thursday's game will be Akhtyamov's first NHL start after his debut came in a relief appearance against the Oilers on Dec. 13, when he stopped all five shots he faced. He has a 20-12-6 record with a 2.90 GAA and a .903 save percentage over 36 AHL appearances this season.

Adam Jiricek D | STL
Blues' Adam Jiricek: Big start to OHL second round
Jiricek scored a goal and added three assists in OHL Brantford's 8-1 win over North Bay in Game 1 on Wednesday.
Jiricek has had two big games in the OHL postseason -- a five-point contest and Wednesday's four-point performance. He's gone scoreless in the Bulldogs' other three playoff games. Jiricek will need to improve his consistency, but he should have plenty of time to keep helping Brantford get offense from the blue line.

Brandon Carlo D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Brandon Carlo: Injured versus Capitals
Carlo (lower body) won't finish Wednesday's game versus the Capitals.
Carlo was ruled out for the rest of the game at the start of the third period. The 29-year-old defenseman will be questionable to play Thursday versus the Islanders. If he can't go, look for Troy Stecher to draw back into the lineup.
-
Dakota Joshua C | TOR
Maple Leafs' Dakota Joshua: Sustains injury Wednesday
Joshua (upper body) won't return to Wednesday's game versus the Capitals.
Joshua was hurt in a collision along the boards with Rasmus Sandin in the second period. The 29-year-old Joshua can be considered day-to-day for now. If he can't play Thursday versus the Islanders, Michael Pezzetta is likely to draw into the lineup in a bottom-six role.

Connor Ingram G | EDM
Oilers' Connor Ingram: Guarding goal versus Sharks
Ingram will protect the road goal versus the Sharks on Wednesday, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.
Ingram will get the nod in the second half of a back-to-back after Tristan Jarry lost to the Mammoth in overtime on Tuesday. Ingram is 3-1-0 with 10 goals allowed over his last four games. The Sharks have scored 22 goals over their last six games, winning five of them as they work toward a playoff spot.

Anthony Stolarz G | TOR
Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Hurt early Wednesday
Stolarz sustained a lower-body injury in Wednesday's game versus the Capitals and won't return to the contest.
Stolarz needed help off the ice after stretching out his left leg to make a save early in the first period. Joseph Woll took over in goal Wednesday and will end up playing nearly the whole game. The Maple Leafs will likely need to call up a goalie to start Thursday's road game versus the Islanders. Given the time of the season and the nature of Stolarz's injury, the team may opt to shut him down for the rest of the campaign.

Angus Crookshank LW | NJ
Devils' Angus Crookshank: Tallies twice for Utica
Crookshank scored two goals in AHL Utica's 4-3 overtime loss to Toronto on Wednesday.
Crookshank has crossed the 20-goal mark for the fourth AHL campaign in a row. However, his overall offense is down in his first year with the Comets -- he has just 33 points over 56 appearances after reaching 40 points in each of the previous three years.
-
Charlie Lindgren G | WAS
Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: Not suiting up Wednesday
Lindgren (upper body) won't be in uniform for Wednesday's game versus the Maple Leafs, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.
Lindgren took a maintenance day Tuesday, and he will be out of the lineup for at least a game. It's not yet clear whether Lindgren will be able to suit up in either game of the Capitals' home-and-home set versus the Penguins this weekend.

Anthony Stolarz G | TOR
Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: In goal Wednesday
Stolarz will protect the home goal versus the Capitals on Wednesday, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
Stolarz will make his third appearance in four games. However, he has an .875 save percentage over his previous two outings, allowing seven goals on 56 shots in that span. Washington has 28 goals over its last six games and is coming off an 8-1 loss to the Rangers on Sunday.
