  • Maple Leafs' Ryan Tverberg: Three points in AHL win

Tverberg scored twice and added an assist in AHL Toronto's 5-2 win over Cleveland in Game 4 on Friday.

Tverberg helped the Marlies force a decisive Game 5 in the North Division Finals. He's been steady this postseason with five goals, three assists and 14 shots on net over 12 contests. That comes after a 36-point performance over 63 regular-season games, which was enough to earn Tverberg his NHL debut in April.

  • Penguins' Peyton Kettles: Returning to action at Memorial Cup

Kettles is in the lineup for WHL Kelowna in its Memorial Cup game versus OHL Kitchener on Friday.

Kettles underwent shoulder surgery in November and missed six months of action, which was on the short end of his expected recovery timeline. The 18-year-old defenseman will get some high-quality action during the Memorial Cup for at least three games to close out the year. Given the time he missed, he'll likely be back in the WHL in 2026-27, as he signed his entry-level contract in November shortly after his shoulder procedure.

  • Carter Hart G | LV

Golden Knights' Carter Hart: Tending twine Friday

Hart will guard the road goal in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals versus the Avalanche on Friday, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Hart stopped 36 of 38 shots to earn the win in Game 1, and he'll look to repeat that effort to give the Golden Knights a commanding series lead. Overall, he has gone 9-4 with a 2.35 GAA and a .918 save percentage over 13 playoff outings.

  • Mark Stone RW | LV

Golden Knights' Mark Stone: Ruled out for Game 2

Stone (lower body) has been ruled out for Friday's Game 2 against the Avalanche, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.

Stone was present for the Golden Knights' morning skate Friday, but he'll ultimately be sidelined for a fifth consecutive game due to his lower-body injury. Brett Howden will presumably continue to occupy a spot in the top six, while it's not yet clear whether Stone will be able to suit up for Sunday's Game 3 against Colorado.

  • Cale Makar D | COL

Avalanche's Cale Makar: Ruled out for Game 2

Makar (undisclosed) will not be in action to face the Golden Knights in Game 2 on Friday, Eric Francis of Sportsnet reports.

Makar skated with the No. 1 power-play unit at Friday's morning skate, but it seems the 27-year-old blueliner still isn't ready to suit up. In the absence of Makar, Devon Toews figures to take on an increased role, including with the man advantage, and should be a player to target in daily formats. For his part, once Makar is cleared, he figures to return to being a 25-plus minute-a-night player.

  • Alex Gagne D | COL

Avalanche's Alex Gagne: Recalled from minors

Gagne was called up from AHL Colorado on Friday, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports.

Gagne has been moving up and down between levels of late, providing emergency defensive depth while Cale Makar (undisclosed) has been sidelined. Even if Makar can't play in Game 2 on Friday, the 23-year-old Gagne shouldn't be expected to get into the lineup.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Set to start Game 2

Wedgewood is expected to guard the cage at home against Vegas in Game 2 on Friday, Jesse Montano of Guerilla Sports reports.

Wedgewood will get the nod despite giving up three goals on 27 shots (.889 save percentage) in a Game 1 defeat to the Golden Knights. In the postseason, the 33-year-old backstop is 7-2 with a 2.32 GAA and .911 save percentage in nine outings. Even with the club giving Wedgewood the start, he figures to be on a short leash; another tough outing could give Mackenzie Blackwood another opportunity.

  • Hurricanes' William Carrier: Snags assist in loss

Carrier notched an assist and three hits in Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Canadiens in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

This was Carrier's first point of the postseason. The 31-year-old has made his presence felt in other ways, racking up 51 hits over nine playoff contests without taking a penalty. He's also logged seven shots on net and an even plus-minus rating. Carrier's physicality is likely to keep him in the lineup in a bottom-six role.

  • Eric Robinson LW | CAR

Hurricanes' Eric Robinson: Finds twine in Game 1 loss

Robinson scored a goal and added two hits in Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Canadiens in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Robinson had gone two months without a goal -- his last tally was March 20 versus the Maple Leafs. He has chipped in three points, 14 shots on net, 24 hits and a plus-1 rating over nine playoff outings. Robinson is maintaining a fourth-line role this postseason, but if this series turns nasty, he could get bumped out of the lineup for Nicolas Deslauriers.

  • Seth Jarvis C | CAR

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Scores early goal in loss

Jarvis scored a goal on five shots and added two hits in Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Canadiens in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Jarvis tallied just 33 seconds into the game, but the Canadiens answered with four goals over the next 11 minutes. The 24-year-old has been held fairly quiet this postseason with two goals and three assists over nine contests. He's added 23 shots on net, 16 hits, eight blocked shots and a plus-1 rating. The Hurricanes have cruised so far, but they'll need all of their key players, including Jarvis, to bounce back in Game 2 and beyond.
