  • Sharks' William Eklund: Good to go

Eklund (lower body) will play Thursday versus the Bruins, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

Eklund cleared himself earlier in the day, but head coach Ryan Warsofsky walked that back by labeling the winger a game-time decision. In the end, Eklund is in fact good to go for his usual middle-six role. Eklund is looking to snap a 19-game goal drought, during which he has earned 10 assists.

  • Tyson Kozak C | BUF

    Sabres' Tyson Kozak: Unavailable Thursday

Kozak (undisclosed) isn't expected to play Thursday versus Washington, per Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News.

Kozak has also missed Buffalo's past four outings. He has two goals and four points in 39 appearances this season. Kozak might play on the fourth line once he's healthy, but it's also possible he'll be a healthy scratch.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Expected to start Thursday

Vasilevskiy is slated to start at home against Detroit on Thursday, according to Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site.

Vasilevskiy has struggled recently, posting a 1-4-0 record, 4.18 GAA and .855 save percentage over his past five appearances. He's 29-11-3 with a 2.32 GAA and a .912 save percentage in 43 outings this season. Detroit is going through a rough patch as well. The Red Wings are 4-6-2 while averaging just 2.08 goals per game over their last 12 matches.

  • Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Slated to face Washington

Luukkonen is expected to start at home against Washington on Thursday, per Heather Engel of NHL.com.

Luukkonen has a 15-7-2 record, 2.74 GAA and .904 save percentage in 25 outings in 2025-26. He's won his past four starts, but he did surrender seven goals on 28 shots in an 8-7 victory over Tampa Bay on Sunday. The Capitals have lost four of their past five games while being outscored 19-13.

  • Lightning's Darren Raddysh: Set to return

Raddysh (personal) is expected to play Thursday versus the Red Wings, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports.

Raddysh missed Tuesday's game while attending his father's memorial service, but he has rejoined the Lightning. Look for Raddysh to fill a top-pairing role with power-play time moving forward.

  • Alex Tuch RW | BUF

Sabres' Alex Tuch: Not playing versus Capitals

Tuch (lower body) won't suit up Thursday versus the Capitals, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.

Tuch's next chance to play is Saturday versus the Maple Leafs. Tanner Pearson is poised to make his Sabres debut after last week's trade from the Jets.

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Unavailable Thursday

Askarov (lower body) won't play Thursday versus the Bruins.

Askarov will miss one game with the issue that cropped up earlier Thursday. Alex Nedeljkovic will take over the starting role for the Sharks while Askarov is out.

  • Dan Vladar G | PHI

Flyers' Dan Vladar: Set to face Minnesota

Vladar is expected to start on the road against Minnesota on Thursday, per Jackie Spiegel of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Vladar will attempt to rebound after allowing six goals on 24 shots in a loss to the Rangers on Monday. He has a 20-11-6 record, 2.52 GAA and .903 save percentage in 39 appearances in 2025-26. The Wild are 12-3-2 while averaging 4.06 goals per game across their past 17 matches.

  • Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: Guarding goal Thursday

Lindgren will protect the road goal versus the Sabres on Thursday, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.

Lindgren is set for the second half of the back-to-back after Logan Thompson took the loss Wednesday versus the Flyers. Lindgren will be making just his second start since the Olympic break. He allowed four goals on 23 shots versus the Canadiens on Feb. 28, and a tough matchup against the Sabres doesn't bode well for Lindgren turning things around.

  • David Kampf C | WAS

Capitals' David Kampf: Won't play Thursday

Kampf (not injury related) won't draw into the lineup Thursday versus Buffalo.

Kampf has been waiting for his work visa after Washington acquired him from Vancouver on Friday. He has two goals and six points in 38 outings in 2025-26. Kampf will probably serve on the bottom six once he's available.
