Avery Hayes RW | PIT
Penguins' Avery Hayes: Three points in AHL return
Hayes scored twice and added an assist in AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's 3-1 win over Laval on Saturday.
Hayes was returned to the AHL earlier in the day. He's caught between levels at this point -- Hayes has dominated the AHL with 35 points over 39 outings this season, but the Penguins don't have room for him on a full-time basis in the NHL. He could be called up again if Pittsburgh needs additional forward depth.

Justin Carbonneau RW | STL
Blues' Justin Carbonneau: Four-point game in win
Carbonneau scored a goal and added three assists in QMJHL Blainville-Boisbriand's 6-3 win over Victoriaville in Game 2 on Saturday.
Carbonneau is up to five points over the first two games of the postseason. In previous years, he collected a total of 11 points across 16 playoff outings, but the Armada have their sights set on a deep run this spring. Carbonneau did his part with 51 goals and 80 points over 60 regular-season contests this season, so he should continue to be a steady source of offense.

Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Set to start Saturday
Vejmelka is set to start on the road against the Kings on Saturday.
Vejmelka has a 32-19-3 record, 2.71 GAA and .897 save percentage in 56 outings in 2025-26. This will be his third matchup against the Kings this season after posting a 1-1-0 record while stopping 56 of 62 shots (.903 save percentage) across the previous two appearances. Los Angeles ranks 28th in goals per game with 2.63 this campaign.

Nathan Bastian RW | DAL
Stars' Nathan Bastian: Doesn't finish game
Bastian didn't return to Saturday's game versus the Penguins after blocking a shot in the second period, Sam Nestler of DLLS Sports reports.
There was no update on Bastian's status after the game, leaving him in doubt for Sunday's contest versus the Flyers. If he can't play, Adam Erne will likely draw back into the lineup on the fourth line.

Dmitri Voronkov LW | CLB
Blue Jackets' Dmitri Voronkov: Won't play Sunday
Voronkov (upper body) will be out of the lineup Sunday versus the Bruins, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.
Voronkov will undergo an evaluation of his injury Monday. The 25-year-old forward was already in a part-time role prior to this injury, so he may have a tough time drawing back into the lineup even if this is a short-term issue.

James Reimer G | OTT
Senators' James Reimer: First loss in last five starts
Reimer made 23 saves in a 4-2 loss to Tampa Bay on Saturday.
Reimer's team staked him to a 2-0 lead by the 4:25 mark of the first period, and the game was tied 2-2 until the 8:51 mark of the third. Optimus Reims has been steady for the Sens since he signed earlier in 2026, and he gave them a chance at a win against the Bolts. He had won four straight games before Saturday; the four goals against Tampa Bay equaled the number he had allowed in the four previous, which included one shutout.

Cam Talbot G | DET
Red Wings' Cam Talbot: Slated to serve as backup Saturday
Talbot (undisclosed) is slated to serve as the backup goaltender for Saturday's home game against Philadelphia, per Ansar Khan of MLive.com.
Talbot sat out Friday's 5-2 win over Buffalo. However, John Gibson will be between the pipes for a second straight day. Talbot is 12-8-5 with a 3.03 GAA and an .891 save percentage in 28 outings in 2025-26. The 38-year-old Talbot hasn't been in the net since March 8 against New Jersey, but that was a relief appearance.

John Gibson G | DET
Red Wings' John Gibson: Facing Flyers on Saturday
Gibson will protect the home goal versus the Flyers on Saturday, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.
Gibson will get the nod for the second day in a row and his 11th straight game. The 32-year-old is seeing a heavy workload as he tries to help guide the Red Wings into the playoffs. He has gone 4-5-1 with a 2.40 GAA and a .912 save percentage during his recent run of starts, though the Flyers present a bit of a challenge since they've won four of their last five games.

Jordan Spence D | OTT
Senators' Jordan Spence: Seven points in last eight games
Spence scored a goal Saturday in a 4-2 loss to the Lightning. He had four shots.
Spence pushed the score to 2-0 just 4:25 into the game when he knocked a rebound into an open net. Andrei Vasilevskiy was out of position after a sprawling save, and Spence capitalized on it. Spence has seven points (one goal, six assists) and 13 shots over the past eight games.
