Spurgeon is day-to-day and will miss at least one game after getting hurt in Thursday's 3-2 win over Florida. He has earned six goals, 19 points, 84 shots on net, 129 blocked shots and 79 hits in 73 appearances this season. Zach Bogosian will replace Spurgeon in Saturday's lineup against the Bruins.

Pittsburgh ranks seventh in goals per game with 3.39 this season, but the Penguins are missing Sidney Crosby (lower body) and Evgeni Malkin (upper body).

Ostlund still needs additional time to recover from an injury he sustained in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to Boston. He will miss his second straight game, and it's unclear when he will be ready to return to the lineup. Ostlund has 11 goals, 27 points, 60 shots on net and 30 blocked shots in 60 NHL appearances this season.

Mazur was recalled from AHL Grand Rapids on Saturday.
Mazur has 11 goals and 14 points in 14 outings with Grand Rapids this season. He hasn't played for Detroit yet in the 2025-26 campaign, and injuries have limited his opportunities for call-ups.

Terry (lower body) is good to play against Edmonton on Saturday, per Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune.
Terry missed Thursday's game against Calgary because of the injury. He has 17 goals and 52 points in 51 outings in 2025-26. Terry will return to the first line alongside Chris Kreider and Leo Carlsson on Saturday, which will push Frank Vatrano out of the top six.

Lazar (undisclosed) has been activated from long-term injured reserve ahead of his return to the lineup against Anaheim on Saturday, according to Tony Brar of Oilers TV.
Following an 11-game absence, Lazar will occupy a spot on the fourth line against the Ducks on Saturday. He has contributed three goals, five points, 24 shots on net and 77 hits in 38 appearances this season.

Mintyukov (lower body) will miss Saturday's game against Edmonton, per Derek Lee of The Hockey News.
Mintyukov has eight goals, 20 points, 10 PIM, 35 hits and 106 blocks in 67 appearances in 2025-26. Anaheim dressed seven defensemen for Thursday's game against Calgary, but Radko Gudas (lower body) and Mintyukov are both exiting the lineup due to injury. As a result, Anaheim will likely shift to 12 forwards and six defensemen. Forward Troy Terry (lower body) is good to return from injury, and defenseman Drew Helleson is also drawing into the lineup.
