  • Seth Jones D | FLA

Panthers' Seth Jones: Notches helper in loss

Jones posted an assist and two PIM in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Wild.

This was Jones' first point in five contests since he returned from a 26-game absence due to an upper-body injury. The 31-year-old defenseman should continue to get steady top-four minutes, but the Panthers' weaker team offense this season limits his fantasy appeal. The blueliner has earned 25 points, 82 shots on net, 42 hits, 50 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 45 appearances.

  • Samuel Honzek LW | CGY

Flames' Samuel Honzek: Done for season

Honzek (upper body) will not return this season, per Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan on Friday.

Honzek practiced for the first time Friday since he was injured versus Winnipeg on Nov. 15. The 21-year-old ends the season with two goals, four points and 35 hits over 18 games with the Flames. He is expected to be fully recovered in time for training camp in September.

  • Aaron Ekblad D | FLA

Panthers' Aaron Ekblad: Ties game late in loss

Ekblad scored a goal on five shots in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Wild.

Ekblad had gone 28 games without a goal, picking up a modest nine assists in that span. He also snapped an eight-game point drought with the third-period tally, which briefly tied the game at 2-2. The defenseman has four goals, 26 points, 94 shots on net, 83 hits, 101 blocked shots, 55 PIM and a minus-6 rating across 69 appearances this season, down from 33 points in 56 regular-season outings a year ago.

  • Flames' Yan Kuznetsov: Still dealing with injury

Kuznetsov is reportedly still dealing with his upper-body injury and is considered day-to-day, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports Friday.

The nature of Kuznetsov's status has been rather unclear of late, as he has also been listed as a healthy scratch based on other reports. Either way, the 24-year-old blueliner has been out of the lineup for six straight games and figures to be questionable, at best, heading into Saturday's matchup with Vancouver.

  • Jeff Petry D | MIN

Wild's Jeff Petry: Posts first helper with new team

Petry logged an assist and four shots on goal in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Panthers.

Petry has played just twice since being acquired from the Panthers on March 5. He was able to get on the scoresheet against his former team while slotting in on the third pairing. Petry has nine helpers, 50 shots on net, 61 hits, 58 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating over 60 appearances this season, but he'll likely max out as a part-time option for the Wild unless numerous injuries deplete the team's defense.

  • Marcus Foligno LW | MIN

Wild's Marcus Foligno: Scores in return

Foligno scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Panthers.

Foligno missed 12 games due to a lower-body injury. With the Wild at full health up front, Foligno will likely fill a fourth-line role moving forward. The 34-year-old winger has seven goals, five assists, 57 shots on net, 153 hits, 58 PIM and 41 blocked shots over 49 appearances this season.

  • Ryan Hartman RW | MIN

Wild's Ryan Hartman: Tallies in Thursday's win

Hartman scored a goal on four shots in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Panthers.

Hartman has two goals and three assists over his last six games. He's currently seeing top-six minutes and may continue to do so if Danila Yurov remains out of the lineup as a healthy scratch. Hartman has played all over the lineup this season, accumulating 17 goals, 16 helpers, 149 shots on net, 93 blocked shots, 61 hits, 44 PIM and a minus-4 rating over 69 appearances.

  • Samuel Honzek LW | CGY

    Flames' Samuel Honzek: Practicing Friday

Honzek practiced for the first time Friday since undergoing surgery to address his upper-body injury, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

Honzek's return to practice doesn't mean he will immediately jump back into the lineup against the Canucks on Saturday, but it is certainly a step in the right direction. Prior to getting hurt, the 21-year-old winger was offering decent production with two goals, two assists and 22 shots in 18 outings. Whenever the Slovak does get back into the lineup, he should be in the mix for a middle-six role with the club.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Slated to start Friday

Soderblom is expected to defend the visiting goal versus the Rangers on Friday.

Soderblom has faced 96 shots in his last two starts, surrendering just seven goals (.927 save percentage). He is 7-11-3 with a 3.69 GAA and an .883 save percentage across 22 appearances. The Rangers are generating 2.76 goals per game, 26th in the NHL.

  • Kraken's Logan Morrison: Elevated from minors

Morrison was recalled from AHL Coachella on Friday.

Morrison was promoted under emergency conditions, which would seem to indicate that neither Jared McCann (lower body) nor Ryan Winterton (personal) will be available versus the Sabres on Saturday. If Morrison does suit up, it would be his first taste of NHL action since 2023-24, when he logged four games with the Kraken.
