Victor Mancini D | VAN
Canucks' Victor Mancini: Inks two-year extension
Mancini signed a two-year, $2 million contract extension with the Canucks on Friday.
Mancini will get a chance to stay in the Canucks' organization as a potential building block on the blue line. He has failed to record a point over 18 appearances this season, adding eight shots on net, 22 hits, 22 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating. While his short-term future is secured, there's no guarantee he'll be an everyday option for Vancouver during his new deal.

Joseph Woll G | TOR
Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Set to start versus Hurricanes
Woll will protect the home goal versus the Hurricanes on Friday, Terry Koshan of The Toronto Sun reports.
Woll is set to start for the fifth time in the last six games. The 27-year-old has gone 1-2-1 with 11 goals allowed on 139 shots over his previous four outings. His performance has been solid despite the lack of positive results, though the Maple Leafs continue to struggle. The Hurricanes are a tough test, having scored 20 goals over their last six games.

Jake Allen G | NJ
Devils' Jake Allen: In goal Friday
Allen will protect the road goal versus the Capitals on Friday, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
Allen has played just once since the Olympic break, allowing four goals on 31 shots in a win over the Kings on Saturday. The 35-year-old netminder has taken a back seat to Jacob Markstrom in recent weeks. The Capitals have been inconsistent, going 3-2-1 with 17 goals scored over their last six games.

Ty Emberson D | EDM
Oilers' Ty Emberson: Slated to return Saturday
Emberson (undisclosed) is slated to return for Saturday's game against the Lightning, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.
Emberson has missed the last five games due to an unspecified issue, but head coach Kris Knoblauch said Friday that the 25-year-old should be able to return Saturday. Emberson has appeared in seven games since the Olympic break, recording a goal, eight hits, seven blocked shots and two PIM while averaging 14:35 of ice time.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen G | BUF
Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Slated starter for Saturday
Luukkonen is expected to start on the road against Los Angeles on Saturday, per Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550.
Luukkonen has been on a roll recently, posting a 5-1-0 record, 2.18 GAA and .925 save percentage across his past six outings. He has a 16-8-2 record, 2.60 GAA and .908 save percentage in 27 appearances in 2025-26. The Kings are competing for a playoff spot, but they've been a mixed bag in the month of March, going 4-3-2 while averaging 3.33 goals per game.

Vincent Desharnais D | SJ
Sharks' Vincent Desharnais: Considered game-time decision
Desharnais is considered a game-time decision for Saturday's matchup against the Flyers due to an upper-body injury, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.
Desharnais hasn't missed a game since mid-January, but he's dealing with an upper-body injury and will be evaluated in the hours leading up to Saturday's puck drop before the Sharks determine his status. Across 12 appearances since the Olympic break, he's recorded an assist, 23 hits, 20 PIM and 19 blocked shots while averaging 19:33 of ice time. If the 29-year-old is unable to play Saturday, John Klingberg will likely enter the lineup.
-
Tyler Toffoli RW | SJ
Sharks' Tyler Toffoli: Won't play Saturday
Head coach Ryan Warsofsky said Friday that Toffoli (lower body) will miss Saturday's game against Philadelphia and will be out for "a little bit," per Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News.
Toffoli sustained the injury during Thursday's 5-0 loss to Buffalo. He has 18 goals and 44 points in 67 appearances in 2025-26. Philipp Kurashev might draw back into the lineup due to Toffoli's absence.

Trent Frederic C | EDM
Oilers' Trent Frederic: No timeline for return
Frederic (undisclosed) could miss some time after head coach Kris Klobach told reporters Friday, "Trent is out with an injury, and I don't have a timeline," Sportsnet's Gene Principe reports.
Frederic, at a minimum, shouldn't be expected to face the Lightning on Saturday, though it sounds like it could certainly be longer before he returns to the lineup. Fantasy managers will have to take a wait-and-see approach and hope the team provides a true update at a later date -- something that is very rare this time of year.

Michael Benning D | FLA
Panthers' Michael Benning: Provides two assists
Benning notched two assists and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Oilers.
The Edmonton native's first NHL game in his hometown also marked his first multi-point effort. Benning has three helpers, one shot on net, four blocked shots and three hits through four outings. The Panthers appear to be giving Benning an extended audition late in the season, so it's possible he'll be in contention for an NHL job on a full-time basis in 2026-27.

Evan Rodrigues C | FLA
Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Manages two helpers Thursday
Rodrigues logged two assists, including one with the man advantage, and three shots on goal in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Oilers.
Rodrigues was held out of Tuesday's game in Vancouver for an unspecified reason. He was back in the lineup Thursday and snapped a five-game slump with helpers on goals by A.J. Greer and Anton Lundell. Rodrigues is at 30 points, a mark he's reached in five straight campaigns. He's added 155 shots on net, 62 hits, 38 PIM and a minus-15 rating over 66 appearances.
