  • Islanders' Matthew Highmore: Two goals for Bridgeport

Highmore scored twice in AHL Bridgeport's 3-2 win over Charlotte in Wednesday.

Highmore has picked up the pace with five goals and three assists over his last 11 contests. For the season, the 30-year-old forward has 13 goals, 34 points and 78 shots on net over 62 appearances with Bridgeport. He saw a one-day stint in the NHL in October but hasn't been in the mix for a call-up since.

  • Sabres' Tage Thompson: Records two power-play helpers

Thompson notched two power-play assists and three shots on goal in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.

Thompson had gone seven games without a helper, and he had just two goals in that span. He set up Jason Zucker twice in Wednesday's contest, helping the Sabres add one standings point to their total for the year. Thompson has been a big part of the team's success with 36 goals, 38 helpers, 22 power-play points, 242 shots on net, 75 hits and a minus-5 rating over 72 appearances in a top-line role.

  • Zach Benson LW | BUF

Sabres' Zach Benson: Lights lamp Wednesday

Benson scored a goal on two shots in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.

Benson is on a four-game point streak, earning three goals and three assists in that span. The 20-year-old winger remains in a fourth-line role and is lacking a power-play role currently, but he's finding ways to remain productive. He's up to 10 goals, matching his total from 75 games last season. He's added 25 assists, 92 shots on net, 35 hits and a plus-25 rating over just 55 appearances in 2025-26.

  • Jason Zucker LW | BUF

Sabres' Jason Zucker: Nets two power-play goals

Zucker scored two power-play goals on four shots in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.

Zucker had only one assist over his previous six outings. Despite that slump, he's retained a spot on the top power-play unit, and that's where he was able to cash in twice in this contest. Zucker is up to 22 goals, the most he has had in the last three years, and 39 points over 53 contests this season. The veteran winger has added 111 shots on net, 50 hits, 21 PIM and a minus-4 rating while regularly seeing second-line usage at even strength.

  • Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Falters in overtime loss

Luukkonen allowed four goals on 31 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.

Luukkonen has mostly been pretty good lately, but this was far from his best work. He allowed a goal in each period in regulation and ceded the decisive tally to Pavel Zacha just 38 seconds into the extra session. Luukkonen has gone 6-1-1 over his last eight outings, and he's at 17-8-3 on the year with a 2.60 GAA and a .908 save percentage over 29 appearances. With the Sabres deploying a strict goalie rotation since the Olympic break, expect Alex Lyon to get the nod versus the Red Wings on Friday before Luukkonen returns to the crease Saturday versus the Kraken.

  • Bruins' Viktor Arvidsson: Returns to 20-goal threshold

Arvidsson scored a goal on three shots and added three hits in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sabres.

Arvidsson's strong March hit a bump with a pair of scoreless outings, but he got back on track Wednesday. He has four goals and eight assists over 13 contests this month. For the season, Arvidsson has 20 goals, 42 points, 154 shots on net, 31 blocked shots, 22 hits, 22 PIM and a plus-17 rating over 60 appearances. His first year with the Bruins has been a bounce-back campaign -- Arvidsson was limited to 21 goals and 42 points across 85 games over the previous two regular seasons between the Kings and the Oilers.

  • Bruins' Casey Mittelstadt: Scores in 500th career game

Mittelstadt scored a goal in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sabres.

Mittelstadt tied the game with 6:00 left in the third period, forcing overtime. This was the 27-year-old forward's 500th career game, and it came against the team that drafted him eighth overall in 2017. Mittelstadt had gone 11 games without a goal entering Wednesday, though he had six assists in that span. He's up to 14 goals, 37 points, 71 shots on net and a plus-8 rating over 62 appearances this season, mainly in a second-line role.

  • Pavel Zacha C | BOS

Bruins' Pavel Zacha: One of each in overtime win

Zacha scored the game-winning goal, dished an assist, added three hits and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sabres.

Zacha helped out on Casey Mittelstadt's equalizer in the third period, which forced the extra session that allowed Zacha to net the game-winner. The 28-year-old Zacha has a trio of multi-point efforts over his last five games, and he's earned nine goals and seven helpers over 13 outings in March. For the season, the center is up to 24 goals (four game-winners), 54 points, 114 shots on net, 57 hits, 28 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 69 appearances.

  • David Pastrnak RW | BOS

Bruins' David Pastrnak: Three-point effort in overtime win

Pastrnak scored a goal on three shots, added two assists and went plus-3 in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sabres.

Pastrnak opened the scoring in the first period and set up a Viktor Arvidsson tally in the second. In overtime, Pastrnak played provider again, feeding Pavel Zacha for the winning goal. This performance was the sixth multi-point effort during Pastrnak's 11-game point streak, a span in which he's accumulated seven goals and 11 assists. The 29-year-old winger is playing at a superstar level as he tries to help the Bruins secure a playoff spot. He's up to 29 goals, 90 points, 232 shots on net, 78 hits, 60 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 67 appearances. Pastrnak would need 10 points over the Bruins' last 10 games to get to the 100-point mark for the fourth year in a row.

  • Bruins' Joonas Korpisalo: Picks up overtime win

Korpisalo stopped 22 of 25 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sabres.

Korpisalo had a lapse in the third period, giving up goals to Zach Benson and Jason Zucker just 33 seconds apart. The Bruins bounced back and won it on a Pavel Zacha tally 38 seconds into overtime. Korpisalo picked up just his second win in his last six outings, and he was under a .900 save percentage for the fifth time in that span despite the victory. For the season, the Finnish netminder is at a 12-9-4 record with a 3.28 GAA and an .891 save percentage over 27 appearances. The Bruins have a back-to-back over the weekend, hosting the Wild on Saturday before visiting the Blue Jackets on Sunday. Expect Korpisalo to split those starts with Jeremy Swayman, but with the Bruins in the thick of the playoff race, Swayman might get doubled up in one or more of the team's last three back-to-back sets this season.
