  • Liam O'Brien LW | UTA

Mammoth's Liam O'Brien: Stuck in press box

O'Brien was scratched for the 12th consecutive game in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Golden Knights.

O'Brien's not the only regular forward in the press box for the Mammoth, as Brandon Tanev has been scratched regularly as well. Head coach Andre Tourigny clearly likes the 12 forwards he's been rolling with lately, leaving no room for O'Brien to get in. Prior to the Olympic break, O'Brien went 18 contests without a point, which didn't help his case for more playing time. He has three points, 26 shots on net, 43 PIM and 93 hits over 32 appearances this season.

  • Mammoth's Kevin Stenlund: Nabs helper in return

Stenlund logged an assist, two shots on goal and two PIM in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Golden Knights.

Stenlund missed Monday's game in Dallas but was able to shake off a lower-body injury ahead of Thursday's matchup. He saw 16:12 of ice time in this contest, helping to protect a lead with his defensive skills for much of the game. The veteran center has four helpers over his last seven outings and is up to 16 points, 57 shots on net, 50 blocked shots, 35 hits, 24 PIM and a minus-7 rating over 67 appearances.

  • John Marino D | UTA

Mammoth's John Marino: Puts up assist Thursday

Marino notched an assist, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Golden Knights.

This assist ended a five-game point drought for Marino. The 28-year-old blueliner has seen his role shrink since the Mammoth acquired MacKenzie Weegar from the Flames prior to the trade deadline. Marino still sees top-four minutes in a shutdown capacity. The veteran blueliner has a career-high 31 points with 49 shots on net, 62 blocked shots and a plus-93 rating through 69 appearances.

  • Jack McBain C | UTA

Mammoth's Jack McBain: Finds twine in win

McBain scored a goal on two shots and added seven hits in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Golden Knights.

McBain has scored in back-to-back games after going 20 contests without a goal. The 26-year-old continues to play on the third line, which suits him well as a strong checking forward. He's up to eight goals, 24 points, 101 shots on net, 249 hits, 40 blocked shots, 67 PIM and a plus-13 rating over 69 appearances. He still has time to challenge his career-best 27-point output from 82 games a year ago.

  • Mammoth's Barrett Hayton: Produces two points

Hayton scored an empty-net goal on two shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Golden Knights.

Hayton had been limited to just one goal over his last nine outings. This was his first multi-point effort since Jan. 24 versus the Predators. Hayton's inconsistent offense is a big reason why he remains in a third-line role, though he's also part of the first power-play unit. The center has 10 goals, 25 points, 116 shots on net, 34 hits, 29 blocked shots, 52 PIM and a plus-5 rating over 64 appearances this season.

  • Clayton Keller RW | UTA

Mammoth's Clayton Keller: Strikes twice early

Keller scored two goals on six shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Golden Knights.

Keller's two goals came within the first 6:05 of the contest. He's heating up again with three tallies over his last two outings after going five games without a goal. The 27-year-old winger is up to 22 goals, 67 points, 194 shots on net and a plus-24 rating over 69 appearances. He'll need a big surge to get to the 30-goal mark for the fourth year in a row, but Keller remains a reliable source of offense on the Mammoth's top line.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Earns 28-save shutout

Vejmelka recorded a 28-save shutout in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Golden Knights.

Vejmelka snapped a three-game skid with his second shutout of the season. The Mammoth provided a quick 3-0 lead in the first period, which was plenty of support. Vejmelka is up to 31-18-3 with a 2.67 GAA and an .898 save percentage over a league-leading 53 starts. He's five games away from matching his workload from last season, and he already has a career high in wins. The Mammoth are back in action Friday at home versus the Ducks, which will likely be a start for Vitek Vanecek.

  • Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Strong in relief appearance

Schmid stopped all 14 shots he faced in relief of Adin Hill in Thursday's 4-0 loss to the Mammoth.

The Mammoth did get an empty-netter to seal the deal, but Schmid was sharp in his first game action since March 6. Hill was in his sixth straight start before getting pulled 8:12 into Thursday's contest. Schmid remains at 16-9-6 on the year with a 2.54 GAA and an .895 save percentage over 33 appearances. Both goalies should get a look this weekend -- the Golden Knights visit the Predators on Saturday and the Stars on Sunday.

  • Adin Hill G | LV

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Makes no saves in loss

Hill didn't stop any of the three shots he faced in Thursday's 4-0 loss to the Mammoth.

Hill was pulled after 8:12 of game time, allowing two goals to Clayton Keller and Jack McBain. This was Hill's season-high sixth straight start, which may have played a role in his performance, though the Golden Knights didn't give him any support. Hill is down to 8-8-3 with a 3.08 GAA and an .869 save percentage over 21 starts this season. Both Hill and Akira Schmid should get a look over the weekend in a back-to-back as the Golden Knights visit Nashville on Saturday and Dallas on Sunday.

  • Marco Rossi C | VAN

Canucks' Marco Rossi: Dishes pair of helpers

Rossi notched two assists and three hits in Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Lightning.

Rossi has three goals and six assists during a four-game point streak, with three of those outings going for multiple points. The 24-year-old center has grown comfortable in a second-line role and also has a share of power-play time. Rossi has earned 27 points, 50 shots on net, 29 hits, 25 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating over 36 appearances between the Canucks and the Wild this season.
