  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Losing side of goalie duel

Thompson made 27 saves in a 3-1 loss to Boston on Saturday. He allowed two goals.

Thompson and Jeremy Swayman were both perfect in the first period. Thompson stopped nine shots that frame, and Swayman turned away seven. It was a bit of a duel all game long between the two netminders. The first goal Thompson allowed was a rebound battled out of the air during a second-period power play, and the second came on a breakaway. The loss ended his three-game winning streak.

  • Bruins' Hampus Lindholm: Earns assist Saturday

Lindholm earned an assist in a 3-1 win over the Capitals on Saturday.

Lindholm has chipped in two assists in five games since returning from the 2026 Winter Olympics, where he represented Team Sweden. He has provided four goals and 21 points in 48 appearances this season.

  • Pavel Zacha C | BOS

Bruins' Pavel Zacha: Four-game, five-point streak

Zacha scored a power-play goal in a 3-1 win over Washington on Saturday.

Zacha followed his shot and swatted the rebound out of the air and under the crossbar, baseball style. The goal extended his four-game streak to five points (one goal, four assists), but he has just five shots in that span. Zacha is on pace to deliver his third 55-plus point performance in his last four regular seasons.

  • Bruins' Viktor Arvidsson: Leads team in game-winning goals

Arvidsson scored a goal in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Capitals.

He broke in alone and beat Logan Thompson for the game-winner. Arvidsson leads the Bruins with six game-winning goals. He has three points, including two goals, in his last two games, and he has four goals in five games since the Olympic break. Arvidsson has earned 18 goals, 15 assists and 136 shots in 50 contests this season.

  • David Pastrnak RW | BOS

Bruins' David Pastrnak: Moves up franchise record list

Pastrnak delivered two assists Saturday in a 3-1 win over Washington.

It was his 103rd career multi-assist game, which ties Brad Marchand for the eighth-most in franchise history. Pastrnak has been quiet since the Olympic break, recording just three assists and 14 shots on goal in five games. He has also gone eight games without a goal. Pastrnak has 22 tallies, 52 assists and 197 shots in 57 appearances this season.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Extends home winning streak

Swayman made 22 saves in Saturday's 3-1 win over Washington.

The only goal Swayman allowed came on a goal-mouth rebound in the second period. He's on a personal two-game winning streak, allowing just one goal in each outing. He has a 24-13-3 record with a 2.80 GAA, a .906 save percentage and one shutout in 41 appearances this season. Swayman has been instrumental in the Bruins' current 12-game home winning streak, winning his last eight home contests. It's Boston's longest home winning streak since 2022-23, which was a 14-game run.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Unavailable Saturday

Gostisbehere (lower body) is set to miss Saturday's game against Calgary, per Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News.

Gostisbehere isn't expected to be out for long, so he still might be an option Tuesday versus Pittsburgh. He has 11 goals and 43 points in 45 outings with Carolina in 2025-26. Mike Reilly might draw into the lineup Saturday due to Gostisbehere's absence.

  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Guarding goal in Calgary

Bussi will start on the road versus the Flames on Saturday, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.

Frederik Andersen helped the Hurricanes to a 6-3 win over the Oilers on Friday, and Bussi will start a day later. This is a favorable matchup for Bussi, as he draws a Flames team that sent Nazem Kadri to Colorado at the trade deadline. Bussi has won his last nine outings, adding a 2.22 GAA and .901 save percentage in that span.

  • Maxim Schafer LW | WAS

Capitals' Maxim Schafer: Two of each in QMJHL blowout win

Schafer scored twice and added two assists in QMJHL Chicoutimi's 14-2 win over Charlottetown on Saturday.

Schafer has nine points and a plus-6 rating over his last two games. The winger had a relatively quiet February, but he's putting forth a good effort to end the regular season on a high note. Schafer is up to 20 goals, 26 helpers and a plus-15 rating through 47 appearances.

  • Mammoth's Mikhail Sergachev: Not quite ready after all

Sergachev (lower body) was a late scratch for Saturday's game versus the Blue Jackets, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.

Sergachev was listed as available on the Mammoth's initial pregame roster, but he was scratched late. Nick DeSimone will draw into the lineup and Sean Durzi will maintain a top-four role for one more game. Given how close he was to playing Saturday, Sergachev should be considered a game-time decision for Monday in Chicago.
