Carcone signed a two-year, $3.5 million contract extension with the Mammoth on Friday.
Carcond has been productive for the Mammoth this year, recording 14 goals, 12 assists, 117 hits, 20 PIM and 16 blocked shots while averaging 12:25 of ice time. Brady Tkachuk LW | OTT
Senators' Brady Tkachuk: Pots winner against Isles
Tkachuk scored the game-winning goal in Thursday's 3-2 victory over the Islanders.
With just 13 seconds left in regulation, Tkachuk pounced on a loose puck in the New York crease and jammed it home. It was the third GWG of the season for the 26-year-old winger in his 48th game, and despite missing most of October and November due to thumb surgery, he sits one goal shy of reaching 20 for the seventh time in eight NHL seasons, with the lone exception being the COVID season of 2020-21.

James Reimer G | OTT
Senators' James Reimer: Wins third straight
Reimer made 17 saves in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Islanders.
His defense did a good job of stifling the visitors' offense, especially late as Ottawa rallied from a 2-1 deficit -- Reimer faced just one shot in the final 20 minutes. The 38-year-old netminder hasn't seen much work of late behind Linus Ullmark as the Senators push for a playoff spot, but he's gotten the job done when called upon. Reimer has won his last three starts dating back to Feb. 5, allowing just three goals on 51 shots (.941 save percentage) during that time.

Matthew Schaefer D | NYI
Islanders' Matthew Schaefer: In exclusive company
Schaefer scored his 21st goal of the season in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Senators.
The phenom opened the scoring early in the second period as he launched a rocket into the top corner past James Reimer from the top of the faceoff circle. The goal was Schaefer's 21st of the season as he closes in on Brian Leetch's all-time record of 23 for a rookie defenseman, while the point was his 50th of the season -- making him just the second 18-year-old blueliner in NHL history to hit that plateau after Phil Housley in 1982-83. Both Leetch and Housley are in the Hall of Fame.

Ilya Sorokin G | NYI
Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Tough loss in Ottawa
Sorokin turned aside 23 shots in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Senators.
The islanders grabbed a 2-1 lead early in the third period, but Sorokin couldn't make it stick as Warren Foegele jammed home a rebound a few minutes later to tie it up, before Brady Tkachuk did the same thing with just 13 seconds left in regulation. Sorokin has given up three goals or fewer in seven of eight starts since the Olympic break, going 5-3-0 over that stretch with a 2.76 GAA and .902 save percentage.

Pavel Zacha C | BOS
Bruins' Pavel Zacha: Two points in Thursday's rout
Zacha scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Jets.
His third-period tally gave Boston a 4-0 lead and extended Zacha's goal streak to three games. The 28-year-old center has been locked in since the Olympic break, and over the last 11 games he's racked up eight goals and 14 points. Zacha already has a new career high with 23 goals on the season in 66 contests, and with 51 points he's on his way to his first 60-point campaign.

Lukas Reichel LW | BOS
Bruins' Lukas Reichel: Pots GWG in Boston debut
Reichel scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Thursday's 6-1 victory over the Jets.
Called up from AHL Providence on Wednesday, Reichel made an immediate impact in his Bruins debut -- he jumped on a loose puck and chipped it home early in the second period after Connor Hellebuyck had mishandled it behind his own net, giving Boston a 2-0 lead. Reichel, the 17th overall pick in 2020 by Chicago, is on his third NHL team, but it's been a few years since the 23-year-old displayed much offensive consistency even at the AHL level. Despite Thursday's performance, it's not clear how long he'll be with the big club before heading back down.

David Kampf C | WAS
Capitals' David Kampf: Not playing Friday
Kampf (personal) will not be available for Friday's clash versus New Jersey, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.
Kampf has yet to play for the Capitals since he was dealt from Vancouver on March 6. It started with visa issues, and once that was resolved, Kampf flew back to Vancouver for the birth of his second child. Kampf had two goals and six points in 38 appearances with the Canucks prior to the trade.

David Pastrnak RW | BOS
Bruins' David Pastrnak: Two-point effort Thursday
Pastrnak scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 6-1 win over Winnipeg.
The superstar winger opened the scoring late in the first period, intercepting a clearing pass in the Jets' end and then sliding the puck through Connor Hellebuyck's five-hole. Pastrnak extended his point streak to eight games with the performance, a stretch in which he's collected five goals and 12 points.
