Jacob Markstrom G | NJ
Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Allows five goals in loss
Markstrom turned aside 24 of 29 shots on goal and registered an assist in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Flames.
After a solid string of performances, Markstrom struggled Thursday, allowing two goals in each of the first two periods. However, he managed to pick up his fourth assist of the season on Simon Nemec's power-play goal in the second. With Thursday's loss, Markstrom now holds a 19-16-1 record, a 3.11 GAA and an .886 save percentage over 37 appearances this season. His struggles Thursday could be a byproduct of playing in each of New Jersey's last seven contests. It's likely that Jake Allen could be called upon to start once in the next few outings to give Markstrom a rest before the latter tends to the majority of opportunities down the stretch.

Dustin Wolf G | CGY
Flames' Dustin Wolf: Yields four goals in win
Wolf stopped 28 of 32 shots on net in Thursday's 5-4 win over New Jersey.
Wolf allowed just one goal in each period Thursday until New Jersey's Luke Hughes added a fourth goal with four seconds remaining in the contest. With the win, Wolf is up to a 19-24-3 record, a 3.04 GAA and an .896 save percentage across 47 outings this season. While he's been able to work his way into the win column in two of his last four appearances, he's allowed four goals in each of those outings. The uptick in goals allowed could be attributed to his heavy workload, as he ranks third among all goaltenders in games played this season. Despite his recent GAA, Wolf tends to face a steady stream of shots each game and usually produces 25-plus save outings, giving him good fantasy value in leagues that track saves.

Ian Moore D | ANA
Ducks' Ian Moore: Tallies in loss
Moore scored a goal on four shots in Thursday's 6-4 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Moore has occasionally worked as a forward this season when the Ducks want a different look on the fourth line. The 24-year-old got his goal in that spot, but he may be back on the blue line if Radko Gudas gets a suspension for his knee-on-knee hit against Auston Matthews. Moore is up to four goals, 12 points, 51 shots on net, 71 blocked shots, 25 hits and 20 PIM through 50 appearances this season, so his fantasy value remains fairly limited.

Alex Killorn LW | ANA
Ducks' Alex Killorn: Scores again Thursday
Killorn scored a goal on three shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 6-4 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Killorn scored late in the third period, but it was too late to matter. The veteran forward has three points over his last two outings. The goal was his 10th of the season, and he's added 13 assists, 120 shots on net, 52 hits, 34 PIM and 25 blocked shots across 65 appearances, mainly in a middle-six role.

Benoit-Olivier Groulx C | TOR
Maple Leafs' Benoit-Olivier Groulx: Revenge goal Thursday
Groulx scored a shorthanded goal and added three hits in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Ducks.
Groulx was a second-round pick of Anaheim in 2018, but he never established himself with that club. He was able to get on the scoresheet for the first time as a Maple Leaf with a shortie in Thursday's contest, which stood as the game-winner. Groulx had just five points in 65 career NHL games with the Ducks, but he has shown a scoring touch with AHL Toronto this year, logging 50 points in 54 outings.

J.T. Compher LW | DET
Red Wings' J.T. Compher: Pots lone goal in loss
Compher scored a goal on three shots in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Lightning.
The absences of Dylan Larkin (leg) and Andrew Copp (leg) have pressed Compher into the top-line center job, where he'll likely be for at least a couple of weeks. The 30-year-old Compher doesn't fit that mold perfectly, but he's a fine fill-in for now, and his offense should rise with better linemates than usual. He snapped a 12-game goal drought Thursday, a span in which he had just one assist. He's at nine goals, 21 points, 77 shots on net, 40 blocked shots, 23 PIM and a minus-9 rating over 66 appearances this season.

Pavel Buchnevich LW | STL
Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Deposits empty-netter
Buchnevich scored an empty-net goal on three shots in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Hurricanes.
Buchnevich has slowed down a bit with two points over his last five outings. The 30-year-old is still rolling in top-six minutes, as the Blues don't have better options to bump him down the lineup. He's up to 15 goals, 40 points, 120 shots on net and a minus-12 rating across 65 appearances. Buchnevich has done well to get his season on track after starting slow -- he has a chance to push for a fifth straight campaign at or above 50 points.

Jeffrey Viel LW | ANA
Ducks' Jeffrey Viel: First multi-pointer of career
Viel picked up two assists Thursday in a 6-4 loss to Toronto.
It was Viel's first multi-point game in the NHL. The 29-year-old journeyman has five points (two goals, three assists) in 28 games this season. The points snapped a 13-game point drought. Viel is living out a dream, but there's no need to have him on a fantasy roster.

Ryan Shea D | PIT
Penguins' Ryan Shea: Bags pair of apples
Shea logged two assists and blocked two shots in Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Golden Knights.
Shea has three helpers over his last three outings. The 29-year-old defenseman continues to be quietly effective for the Penguins, handling top-four minutes while chipping in depth scoring. He's at 27 points (four goals, 23 assists) with 64 shots on net, 79 blocked shots, 34 hits, 22 PIM and a plus-25 rating across 65 appearances.

Benjamin Kindel C | PIT
Penguins' Ben Kindel: Puts away goal in loss
Kindel scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Golden Knights.
Kindel has two goals and two assists over seven outings in March. He's been under the 15-minute mark in ice time for three straight contests, so it looks like he's lost out on the opportunity to gain playing time while the Penguins' forward group is thinned out by injuries. The team's spot in the playoff race is likely playing a part in that, as the Penguins won't want to put too much pressure on the 18-year-old. He's earned 16 goals, 31 points, 129 shots on net, 49 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating over 62 appearances. Those aren't Calder-worthy numbers, but Kindel's bright future is apparent already.
