Robert Thomas C | STL
Blues' Robert Thomas: Likely to play through injury
Thomas has an upper-body injury that head coach Jim Montgomery believes the center can play through, Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic reports.
Thomas was hit in the hand in Tuesday's contest, but he was able to finish it. At this point, it doesn't appear that the Blues are overly concerned about the issue, but it bears paying attention to Thomas' status ahead of Thursday's contest versus the Hurricanes. In Tuesday's game, Thomas had two assists and a plus-3 rating, but he took only one faceoff prior to the injury and none after returning to the ice, so he may be held off from those duties for a while. He has 42 points in 47 outings this season.

Phillip Danault C | MON
Canadiens' Phillip Danault: Three goals in last seven games
Danault scored the game-winning goal in Tuesday's 3-1 victory over the Maple Leafs.
It was Danault's fifth goal as a member of the Habs and third in his last seven games. He has really picked up his offense in Montreal, putting up 11 points in 27 games. Danault had just five assists in 30 games with Los Angeles.

Oliver Kapanen C | MON
Canadiens' Oliver Kapanen: Tied for NHL rookie goal crown
Kapanen scored a goal Tuesday in a 3-1 win over Toronto.
It was his 20th goal of the season. That puts him in a three-way tie for first on the rookie goal list. Kapanen is there with Beckett Sennecke and Matthew Schaefer, two top-of-the-first-round draft picks. Kapenen was drafted at the end of the second round (64th overall). He has 33 points and 111 shots in 63 games.

Brett Berard LW | NYR
Rangers' Brett Berard: Sent back down
Berard was reassigned to AHL Hartford on Tuesday.
Berard was a healthy scratch Tuesday after getting called up earlier in the day. The 23-year-old will head to Hartford for now, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see him back with the big club before the end of the campaign.

Joseph Woll G | TOR
Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Waiting on first win after break
Woll made 30 saves in a 3-1 loss to Montreal on Tuesday. He allowed two goals.
Both goals went between Woll's pads, which must frustrate the netminder and his coaches. It might be timing or bad stick positioning, or it might be a technical flaw in Woll's technique. All are easily correctable. Woll is 0-4-0 with 15 goals allowed in four starts since the break. You need to weigh alternate options for your squad until he and the Leafs right the proverbial ship.

Andrew Copp C | DET
Red Wings' Andrew Copp: Doubtful for Thursday
Copp (leg) is doubtful to play versus the Lightning on Thursday, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Copp will undergo more testing after sustaining a leg injury on a faceoff in Tuesday's game versus the Panthers. Since Dylan Larkin (leg) is also ailing, the Red Wings are planning to call up a forward from AHL Grand Rapids. J.T. Compher and Marco Kasper figure to get a boost in ice time Thursday.

Cole Caufield RW | MON
Canadiens' Cole Caufield: Plays through illness
Caufield was limited by an illness during the third period of Tuesday's game versus the Maple Leafs, but he will travel to Ottawa for Wednesday's contest, Eric Engels of Sportsnet reports.
Caufield didn't get on the scoresheet Tuesday, and the illness explains his struggles. The 25-year-old's status will be up in the air until closer to game time Wednesday. If he can't play, Alexander Texier would likely draw into the lineup.

William Nylander RW | TOR
Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Six-game point streak
Nylander scored a goal Tuesday in a 3-1 loss to Montreal.
Nylander is riding a six-game point streak that includes four goals and two assists. He has found the scoresheet in nine of his last 10 contests (five goals, seven assists). Nylander continues to lead the Maple Leafs with 60 points (22 goals, 38 assists) in just 48 appearances. He sits 11th in the league in points per game.

Joey Daccord G | SEA
Kraken's Joey Daccord: Facing Nashville on Tuesday
Daccord will guard the home goal versus the Predators on Tuesday, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.
Daccord is coming off a brutal loss in which he gave up seven goals on 37 shots to the Senators on Saturday. He had allowed just six goals over his previous three outings. The Predators have scored 18 goals over their last six games, so they could pose a challenge to Daccord as he looks to bounce back.

Juuse Saros G | NSH
Predators' Juuse Saros: Tending twine Tuesday
Saros will protect the road goal versus the Kraken on Tuesday, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.
Saros is 1-2-1 over his last four games, allowing 12 goals on 102 shots (.882 save percentage) in that span. The 30-year-old will face a Kraken team that has won just twice in six games since the Olympic break, scoring 15 times in that span.
