  • Oilers' Josh Samanski: Up on emergency basis

Samanski was recalled from AHL Bakersfield by the Oilers on an emergency basis, the team announced Sunday.

Samanski was just sent down Friday, but with Adam Henrique (knee) now day-to-day, the Oilers were able to call Samanski back up on an emergency basis. The 22-year-old Samanski has two assists in six games on the season so far. Given Henrique's status, Samanski will likely have the chance to add to those numbers as soon as Sunday night against the Golden Knights.

  • Avalanche's Gabriel Landeskog: Deemed week-to-week

Landeskog (lower body) is week-to-week and won't play against Minnesota on Sunday.

Landeskog had two goals and five assists in six appearances after returning from the 2026 Winter Olympics, where he played for Team Sweden. He missed 14 straight NHL games before representing his country in the tournament because of an upper-body injury. Landeskog has nine goals, 29 points, 104 shots on net and 66 hits across 47 outings this season.

  • Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: In goal Sunday

Wallstedt will start Sunday's game against the Avalanche, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Wallstedt is getting the net after sitting in favor of Filip Gustavsson for the Wild's last three contests. That's the longest stretch in which Wallstedt hasn't played since early November. He'll check back in for a daunting matchup against the league-leading Avalanche, who have won four straight games. The 23-year-old has a 14-6-4 record with a 2.86 GAA and a .910 save percentage on the year.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Set to face Wild

Wedgewood will patrol the home crease against Minnesota on Sunday, per Michael Russo of The Athletic.

Wedgewood has won his last three outings, including a relief appearance in Friday's 5-4 shootout victory over Dallas. He has a 23-4-5 record this season with two shutouts, a 2.20 GAA and a .915 save percentage through 34 games. Minnesota is tied for 10th in the league with 3.32 goals per game this campaign.

  • Justin Brazeau RW | PIT

Penguins' Justin Brazeau: Will be held out Sunday

Brazeau (upper body) is day-to-day and won't play Sunday against the Bruins, the Penguins announced.

Brazeau played a full complement of ice time in Saturday's game against the Flyers, but he won't suit up for the second leg of the back-to-back due to an upper-body injury. The 28-year-old has 30 points (16 goals, 14 assists) in 48 games on the season. He's the third Penguins regular forward to hit the shelf, joining Sidney Crosby (lower body) and Evgeni Malkin (suspension).

  • Nolan Allan D | SJ

Sharks' Nolan Allan: Returned to AHL

Allan was loaned to AHL San Jose on Sunday.

The Sharks recalled Nick Leddy from the minors in a corresponding move. Allan has two goals and 10 points in 20 AHL appearances this season. He hasn't seen any NHL action yet during the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Nick Leddy D | SJ

Sharks' Nick Leddy: Recalled from AHL

Leddy has been recalled from AHL San Jose by the Sharks, the team announced Sunday.

Leddy hasn't seen a ton of action this year, playing just 19 games at the NHL level and one at the AHL level. The 34-year-old has recorded four points and a minus-9 rating in his 19 NHL games with the Sharks. He'll likely just fill a depth role in this NHL stint, barring an injury to a top-six defenseman.

  • John Leonard LW | DET

Red Wings' John Leonard: Recalled from AHL

Leonard was summoned from AHL Grand Rapids on Sunday.

Leonard has two goals, four points, nine shots on net, six blocked shots and eight hits in nine NHL appearances this season. He also has 27 goals and 41 points in 34 AHL outings during the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Canadiens' Juraj Slafkovsky: Scores twice vs. LAK

Slafkovsky scored two goals, including one on the power play, in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Kings.

Slafkovsky gave the Canadiens a 2-1 lead late in the second period with an even-strength goal, and then he evened things up at three goals apiece with a power-play tally at the 14:38 mark of the final frame. This two-goal performance allowed Slafkovsky to set a new career high in points. He had reached the 50-point plateau in the previous two regular seasons, but now he's up to 52 points (23 goals, 39 assists) in 62 contests in 2025-26. Slafkovsky has set career-best marks in both goals and points this season.

  • Nick Suzuki C | MON

Canadiens' Nick Suzuki: Hot streak continues Saturday

Suzuki recorded a goal and two assists, including one on the power play, in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Kings.

Suzuki contributed to three of the Canadiens' four goals in this game, and his impressive performance pushed his point streak to four games. With three multi-point efforts and nine total points (three goals, six assists) over that four-game stretch, Suzuki has been one of the most reliable fantasy options since the Olympic break.
