  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Comes up short in overtime

Askarov stopped 32 of 34 shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Islanders.

Askarov put in a good effort, but Bo Horvat's goal 4:20 into overtime gave the Sharks a loss. Askarov has allowed 14 goals over four games since the Olympic break, going 2-1-1 in those contests. For the season, the 23-year-old netminder is at a 19-16-3 record with a 3.52 GAA and an .887 save percentage in 39 starts. A busy part of the schedule has seen the Sharks switch to alternating goalies, which may be best for Askarov down the stretch as he has struggled during stretches with a heavier workload. The Sharks begin a road trip in Buffalo on Tuesday.

  • Islanders' Tony DeAngelo: Deposits goal Saturday

DeAngelo scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Sharks.

DeAngelo opened the scoring at 11:37 of the first period. The 30-year-old defenseman has earned a goal and five helpers over six contests since the Olympic break. DeAngelo is worth a look in most fantasy formats since he contributes steady offense while playing in a top-four role. The blueliner is up to five goals, 30 points, 125 shots on net, 59 blocked shots, 37 PIM and a minus-2 rating over 64 appearances. This is the fifth time he's reached the 30-point mark in a season, and he's done it with four different teams.

  • Bo Horvat C | NYI

Islanders' Bo Horvat: Nets game-winner in overtime

Horvat scored a goal on six shots and blocked two shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Sharks.

Horvat's goal 4:20 into overtime gave the Islanders their first win in three games on this road trip. He's scored in three of four contests in March and continues to play a leading role on offense. Horvat is up to 27 goals (six game-winners), 44 points, 167 shots on net, 44 hits, 34 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating across 50 appearances this season.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Sharp in overtime win

Sorokin stopped 30 of 31 shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Sharks.

Sorokin allowed a goal to Macklin Celebrini early in the second period, but that was it. This was Sorokin's third win in four outings since the Olympic break, and it was his first really dominant performance in that stretch. He's up to 23-14-2 with a 2.50 GAA and a .914 save percentage over 39 starts this season. The Islanders have one more stop on this road trip, and that's Tuesday in St. Louis for a favorable matchup versus the Blues.

  • Cale Fleury D | SEA

Kraken's Cale Fleury: Gathers assist in loss

Fleury logged an assist, added six hits and blocked three shots in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Senators.

Fleury ended a nine-game point drought with the helper. The 27-year-old was in the lineup for the third time in four games -- Ryan Lindgren (illness) was unavailable as a bug works its way through the locker room. Fleury has three points, 22 shots on net, 40 hits, 26 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 19 appearances this season. He appears to be the preferred next man up when a Kraken defenseman is unavailable, leaving Josh Mahura buried on the depth chart as an eighth blueliner.

  • Jordan Eberle RW | SEA

Kraken's Jordan Eberle: Adds two assists in loss

Eberle registered two assists, four shots on goal, two blocked shots, two PIM and a minus-2 rating in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Senators.

Eberle inked a two-year contract extension Friday, which keeps the Seattle captain in place as the head of this offense. The 35-year-old winger has six points over his last four games and has earned 22 goals, 22 assists, 134 shots on net and a plus-6 rating through 60 contests this season. Eberle is a fine fantasy winger as he looks to get over the 50-point mark for the second time in four years, and he's bounced back well after an injury-plagued 2024-25.

  • Jacob Melanson RW | SEA

Kraken's Jacob Melanson: Gets goal early in loss

Melanson scored a goal and added four hits in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Senators.

Melanson has been with the Kraken since Jan. 22, but he had been held off the scoresheet over his first 11 games in this stint on the NHL roster, as well as the last four contests in his previous stint. The 22-year-old forward is up to two goals, five points, 149 hits, 24 shots on net and 23 PIM through 27 appearances this season. He played well enough to make Tye Kartye expendable, which the Rangers capitalized on with a waiver claim. Melanson will likely get fourth-line minutes to close out the campaign, though he could be a healthy scratch occasionally.

  • Eeli Tolvanen RW | SEA

Kraken's Eeli Tolvanen: Tickles twine Saturday

Tolvanen scored a goal, notched three hits and added two PIM in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Senators.

Tolvanen had gone seven NHL games without a point, though he earned five points over three contests for Finland at the Olympics. The 26-year-old winger has remained on Seattle's second line through his recent slump. He has 12 goals, 32 points, 108 shots on net, 153 hits, 63 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating over 61 appearances this season. This is a contract year for Tolvanen, so he'll want to finish strong to boost his value for the open market.

  • Kraken's Brandon Montour: Strikes on power play in loss

Montour scored a power-play goal on three shots, added two hits and blocked two shots in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Senators.

Montour provided the last goal of the game. He had been limited to one assist over his previous eight contests, and this was his first power-play point since Jan. 19 versus the Penguins. Montour is up to eight goals, 24 points, 111 shots on net, 51 hits, 56 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 44 appearances this season, playing primarily in a top-four role with power-play time.

  • Kraken's Matty Beniers: Nets goal in loss

Beniers scored a goal, added two hits and blocked two shots in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Senators.

Beniers scored midway through the third period, but that only cut the deficit to 7-3 at the time. The 23-year-old has two goals over six contests since the Olympic break, which appears to have sapped the momentum he was building before the NHL went on pause. The center is at 16 goals, 39 points, 118 shots on net, 55 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 62 appearances this season. Beniers remains in a top-line role, but he's little more than a depth forward in most fantasy formats.
