Daniil Tarasov G | FLA
Panthers' Daniil Tarasov: Tough loss to Buffalo
Tarasov stopped 36 of 38 shots in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Sabres, with Buffalo's final goal getting scored into an empty net.
With the game tied 1-1 midway through the third period, Beck Malenstyn put Buffalo in the lead with a shot from the blue line. However, Tarasov felt his glove was impeded by Mattias Samuelsson's stick, which prevented him from making the save. However, the Panthers lost the coach's challenge for goaltender interference. Tarasov had coughed up 10 total goals over his prior two outings, so even though it was a third straight loss, it was an encouraging performance from the 26-year-old netminder. On the season, Tarasov sports an 8-9-2 record with a 2.80 GAA and .903 save percentage.

Alex Tuch RW | BUF
Sabres' Alex Tuch: Two points in Friday's win

Alex Lyon G | BUF
Sabres' Alex Lyon: Pockets win against former club
Lyon made 28 saves in Friday's 3-2 win over the Panthers.
Facing the team that helped him turn his career around in 2022-23, Lyon was locked in and couldn't be faulted for either of Florida's goals -- one came on a second-period power play for the Panthers, while the other came late in the third when Rasmus Dahlin tried to clear a puck out of the crease and instead banked it into the net off the back of Lyon's legs. The veteran netminder has won five of seven starts since returning from a lower-body injury in late January, going 5-2-0 with a 2.32 GAA and .930 save percentage.

Senators' Nikolas Matinpalo: Not available Saturday
