  • Avery Hayes RW | PIT

Penguins' Avery Hayes: Another hat trick in AHL play

Hayes scored three goals in AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's 7-2 win over Springfield on Wednesday.

Hayes has eight goals and an assist over six AHL outings in February. The forward could be a candidate to rejoin Pittsburgh after the Olympic break, especially if Sidney Crosby's leg injury costs him some time. Hayes has 19 goals and 30 points in 35 AHL contests this season.

  • Alec Regula D | EDM

Oilers' Alec Regula: Set for conditioning stint

Regula was assigned to AHL Bakersfield on a conditioning stint Wednesday.

Regula will get up to two weeks to get some game action with the Condors. Prior to the Olympic break, the 25-year-old defenseman was scratched for 11 of 12 contests. He has three assists and a minus-16 rating over 29 appearances this season, so he could have a tough time getting into the Oilers' lineup if the team's blue line stays healthy.

  • Petr Mrazek G | ANA

Ducks' Petr Mrazek: Out for season

Mrazek underwent season-ending hip surgery Tuesday.

Mrazek's campaign with the Ducks ends with a 3-5-0 record, a 4.07 GAA and an .858 save percentage in 10 appearances. Given his lengthy injury history and the severity of a hip surgery, the 34-year-old goalie may not be ready to play at the start of the 2026-27 campaign. He'll likely also face reduced demand during free agency since he'll be coming off an injury and has seen his performance decline in recent years.

  • Golden Knights' Mitch Marner: Plays hero in OT for Canada

Marner scored the overtime winner in Canada's 4-3 victory over Czechia in the Olympic men's hockey quarterfinals Wednesday.

It was the Vegas winger's first goal of the tournament, and it came in spectacular fashion -- Marner took a drop pass from Macklin Celebrini at his own blue line, built up a head of steam and split all three Czech skaters before flipping a backhand shot past Lukas Dostal. Marner is up to five points in four games for Canada during his first Olympics as the team heads into the semifinals.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Two helpers in win over Czechia

McDavid collected two assists, one on the power play, in Canada's 4-3 overtime win over Czechia in the Olympic men's hockey quarterfinals Wednesday.

The Oilers superstar had a hand in Canada's first two goals by Macklin Celebrini in the first period and Nathan MacKinnon in the second. McDavid continues to lead the tournament with 11 points (two goals, nine assists) in only four games as he leads Canada into the semifinals.

  • Capitals' Ivan Miroshnichenko: Earns three points in Hershey's win

Miroshnichenko scored twice and added an assist in AHL Hershey's 3-2 win over Toronto on Wednesday.

Miroshnichenko has five goals and five assists over his last seven contests. For the season, the 22-year-old winger is up to 11 goals and 28 helpers over 31 appearances. He's shooting 12.4 percent as well, so this level of production should be sustainable for a player with ample talent.

  • Sharks' Macklin Celebrini: Dazzles again in quarterfinal win

Celebrini scored a goal and added two assists, one on the power play, in Canada's 4-3 overtime win over Czechia in the Olympic men's hockey quarterfinals Wednesday.

The 19-year-old phenom continues to amaze and has five goals and nine points through four games in the tournament. None of Celebrini's points were bigger than his second helper Wednesday, as he dropped the puck to Mitch Marner in OT before the Vegas winger split the Czech defense and scored the winner. Celebrini has found the back of the net himself in four straight games, and he's the first teenager to have a three-point game in the knockout round of an Olympic tournament involving NHL players.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Clutch for country once again

Binnington made 21 saves in Canada's 4-3 overtime win over Czechia in the Olympic men's hockey quarterfinals Wednesday.

The Blues netminder came up big when it counted, stoning Martin Necas on a breakaway late in the third period and then denying a wide-open Radim Simek in OT before Mitch Marner put home the winner. Binnington is 3-0 in the tournament with a .922 save percentage as Canada heads into the semifinals.

  • Lukas Dostal G | ANA

Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Heartbreaking loss to Canada

Dostal turned aside 37 shots in Czechia's 4-3 overtime loss to Canada in the Olympic men's hockey quarterfinals Wednesday.

The Czechs held a 2-1 lead at the end of the first period and a 3-2 lead midway through the third as they attempted to pull off a seismic upset. However, Dostal could only watch helplessly as Nick Suzuki tipped home a goal with less than four minutes remaining in regulation before Mitch Marner skated through three Czech defenders in OT and beat the netminder with a backhand. Dostal will head back to the Ducks having gone 1-3 in the tournament with an .886 save percentage, but two of the losses came in overtime.

  • Blues' Dalibor Dvorsky: Strong Olympics continue

Dvorsky scored a goal and added an assist in Slovakia's 6-2 win over Germany in the Olympic men's hockey quarterfinals Wednesday.

Both of the St. Louis center's points came in the second period as Slovakia built a 4-0 lead. Dvorsky has been one of the stars of the tournament for his squad, racking up three goals and six points in four games to lead Slovakia into the semifinals.
