  • Isak Rosen RW | WPG

Sabres' Isak Rosen: AHL scoring pace stays high

Rosen scored three goals in AHL Rochester's 4-0 win over Springfield on Friday.

Rosen logged a natural hat trick in this contest, his first game back after a stint with the Sabres. Both of his AHL hat tricks this season have come over the last eight games, a span in which he has eight goals and an assist. The talented winger is at 23 goals, 35 points and 94 shots on net through 29 AHL outings this season, and he's added seven points in 16 NHL appearances.

  • Bruins' Georgi Merkulov: Scores twice in AHL win

Merkulov scored two goals in AHL Providence's 3-1 win over Hartford on Friday.

With the effort, Merkulov has 16 goals and 19 assists over 41 outings this season. He's already surpassed his goal total from 59 regular-season contests a year ago, but his overall scoring pace is a little down. Merkulov got one call-up earlier in the campaign, and he continues to play well enough that he could help the Bruins as a depth forward later in 2025-26.

  • Tristan Broz C | PIT

Penguins' Tristan Broz: Posts trio of helpers

Broz logged three assists in AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's 6-5 win over Lehigh Valley on Friday.

Broz missed some time for the AHL club in late January, but his return to the lineup was a good one. He's earned four goals and seven assists over his last six outings. Overall, he's at 14 goals, 31 points and a plus-12 rating through 37 appearances. He's earned a couple of call-ups to the NHL but has just one game under his belt for Pittsburgh so far.

  • Ville Koivunen RW | PIT

Penguins' Ville Koivunen: Earns three points in AHL win

Koivunen scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's 6-5 win over Lehigh Valley on Friday.

Koivunen didn't do a lot after his demotion to the AHL in January, but he has picked up the pace with two goals and six assists over his last six games. He's at six goals, 22 points and 29 shots on net through 19 AHL outings this season. The 22-year-old will get future looks in the NHL, but it's unclear if he'll get another call-up this season after posting just five points in 27 contests with Pittsburgh.

  • Matt Dumba D | PIT

Penguins' Matt Dumba: Another big game for WBS

Dumba scored three goals and added an assist in AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's 6-5 win over Lehigh Valley on Friday.

Dumba has stunningly erupted for 11 points over his last four games. His hat trick Friday gives him five goals on the year, and he has added 11 assists, 37 shots on net and a plus-5 rating through 19 AHL appearances. It's unclear if he'll get another look with Pittsburgh, but his strong AHL play could help him get a change of scenery before the trade deadline.

  • Lightning's Ethan Gauthier: Pots pair in AHL win

Gauthier scored twice in AHL Syracuse's 5-3 win over Belleville on Friday.

Gauthier's rookie year in the AHL has been a quiet one. He has six goals, 12 points, 37 shots on net and a plus-3 rating over 33 appearances for the Crunch. The 21-year-old winger was a second-round pick in 2023, and it'll likely be at least another year or two before he's in serious contention for NHL minutes.

  • Florian Xhekaj LW | MON

Canadiens' Florian Xhekaj: Posts three points Friday

Xhekaj scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Laval's 5-4 overtime win over Cleveland on Friday.

Xhekaj ended a six-game dry spell with the performance. He's done alright this season with 18 points over 41 appearances at the AHL level, though that's not particularly close to his 24-goal, 35-point effort over 69 regular-season games a year ago. Xhekaj got his first look with the Canadiens in late November, but he's unlikely to be anything more than a bottom-six option if he gets another call-up.

  • Joshua Roy RW | MON

Canadiens' Joshua Roy: Tallies twice for Laval

Roy scored two goals in AHL Laval's 5-4 overtime win over Cleveland on Friday.

Roy ended a five-game goal drought with the effort, which was his first multi-point outing since Dec. 28. He's up to 11 goals, 23 points, 92 shots on net and a minus-7 rating over 32 appearances this season. He's been a fine scorer at the AHL level, but that has yet to translate to the NHL in limited action over the last three campaigns.

  • Cooper Black G | FLA

Panthers' Cooper Black: Earns shutout for Charlotte

Black recorded a 27-save shutout in AHL Charlotte's 3-0 win over Grand Rapids on Friday.

Black has played in 27 games this season, going 18-7-2 with a 2.45 GAA and a .904 save percentage. He picked up his first shutout of the campaign and the fourth of his AHL career with this effort. Black was good in a limited role in 2024-25, and while his numbers have dipped a bit, he's still playing pretty well. The 24-year-old would likely be the next man up for the Panthers, which could be a situation that comes to pass if Daniil Tarasov (lower body) is still injured after the Olympic break.

  • Jesse Nurmi LW | NYI

Islanders' Jesse Nurmi: Racks up three more points

Nurmi scored twice and added an assist in OHL London's 5-4 overtime win over Niagara on Friday.

Nurmi has four multi-point efforts over his last six games. He needed a little time to adjust back to the OHL after some ECHL time earlier in the season, but he's already picked up 11 goals and eight helpers over 14 appearances. Nurmi should continue to play a significant role for London for the remainder of the campaign.
