  • Austin Watson LW | DET

Red Wings' Austin Watson: Up from AHL

Watson was called up by the Red Wings under emergency conditions Thursday.

Watson has 11 goals, 20 points and 137 PIM in 48 appearances with AHL Grand Rapids in 2025-26. The 34-year-old has participated in 528 career NHL regular-season games, but he hasn't played at the top level this campaign.

  • Penguins' Samuel Girard: Not available Thursday

Girard (upper body) has been ruled out of Thursday's clash in Vegas.

Girard missed Tuesday's tilt against Carolina. The defenseman has yet to pick up a point in seven games with the Penguins after accumulating three goals and nine assists in 40 games with Colorado before his trade Feb. 24. Look for Ilya Solovyov to remain in the lineup in Girard's absence.

  • Evander Kane LW | VAN

Canucks' Evander Kane: Set to return

Kane (upper body) is expected to play against Nashville on Thursday, per Izzy Cheung of The Hockey News.

Kane missed Monday's 2-0 loss to Ottawa because of the injury. He has 11 goals, 27 points, 78 PIM and 102 hits in 61 outings with the Canucks in 2025-26. Nils Hoglander is projected to be a healthy scratch as a result of Kane's return.

  • Mark Stone RW | LV

Golden Knights' Mark Stone: Game-time call Thursday

Head coach Bruce Cassidy refused to rule Stone (upper body) in or out of the lineup Thursday in Pittsburgh, SinBin.vegas reports.

Stone has missed the last five games and though he practiced Thursday, it was in a non-contact jersey. Stone has 21 goals and 39 assists, including 22 points on the power play, in 43 games this season. While is appears likely that he will sit out at least one more game, there is still a chance that Stone could play Thursday.

  • Blues' Jonathan Drouin: Won't play Thursday

Drouin (not injury related) will miss Thursday's game in Carolina, per Andy Strickland of the FanDuel Sports Network.

Drouin was acquired by St. Louis from the Islanders on March 6, but the Islanders were on the road when he was dealt, and he hasn't gotten the opportunity to return to New York to pick up his things. For that reason, Drouin has briefly parted ways with the Blues to gather his stuff. He's expected to be an option for Friday's home game against the Oilers. Nathan Walker might play Thursday due to Drouin's absence.

  • Adin Hill G | LV

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Slated to face Pittsburgh

Hill is expected to start at home against Pittsburgh on Thursday, per Jesse Granger of The Athletic.

Hill will attempt to get back into the win column after going 0-2-0 while stopping 29 of 34 shots (.853). He's 6-6-3 with a 3.32 GAA and an .859 save percentage in 17 outings in 2025-26. Pittsburgh is also searching for a win after dropping four of its past five (1-2-2). The Penguins are missing star centers Sidney Crosby (lower body) and Evgeni Malkin (suspension).

  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Slated to start Thursday

Bussi is slated to start at home against St. Louis on Thursday.

Bussi has a 25-4-1 record, 2.38 GAA and .898 save percentage in 30 outings in 2025-26. Despite his strong season overall, he's struggled recently, allowing 13 goals on 75 shots (.827 save percentage) across his past three games. St. Louis suffered a 4-3 overtime loss to the Islanders on Tuesday, dropping the Blues' record to 25-29-10 and bringing an end to their four-game winning streak.

  • Ty Emberson D | EDM

    Oilers' Ty Emberson: Being evaluated

Emberson (undisclosed) has returned to Edmonton for evaluation, the team announced Thursday.

Emberson left Tuesday's game against Colorado because of the injury. He won't play Thursday in Dallas and also isn't expected to be available Friday in St. Louis. Spencer Stastney is projected to draw into the lineup due to Emberson's absence.

  • Canucks' Nikita Tolopilo: Slated to start against Nashville

Tolopilo is expected to draw the home start against the Predators on Thursday, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.

Tolopilo didn't appear in either of the Canucks' last two games, but he should return to the crease Thursday based on his usage during the team's optional morning skate. Across his last five outings, he's gone 1-2-2 with a 3.29 GAA and .892 save percentage.

  • Blues' Robert Thomas: Slated to play Thursday

Thomas (upper body) is slated to play in Thursday's game against the Hurricanes.

Thomas suffered an upper-body injury during Tuesday's game against the Islanders, but the issue is believed to be minor, and the 26-year-old should be able to suit up after skating on the first line during Thursday's morning skate. Thomas has been dominant over five appearances in March, racking up four goals, five assists, eight blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-10 rating while averaging 17:50 of ice time.
