Lyubushkin (lower body) won't play against Winnipeg on Monday, according to Brien Rea of Victory+.

Lyubushkin will miss his fourth straight game, and it's unclear if he will play in Wednesday's matchup against St. Louis. He has collected one goal, six assists, 24 shots on net, 67 blocked shots and 54 hits in 39 appearances this season.

Oettinger will protect the home net against Winnipeg on Monday, per Stars radio analyst Bruce LeVine.

Despite allowing 11 goals on 87 shots, Oettinger has won his last four outings. He has a 21-10-4 record in 2025-26 with a 2.69 GAA, a .900 save percentage and two shutouts through 35 appearances. Winnipeg is tied for 22nd in the league this season with 2.87 goals per game.

Petersen was recalled from AHL Iowa on Monday, per the NHL media site.

Petersen has a 4-13-0 record with a 2.82 GAA and an .897 save percentage through 17 minor-league appearances this season. With Jesper Wallstedt (illness) unlikely to suit up for Monday's home game against Montreal, Petersen will probably serve as Filip Gustavsson's backup.

Sorokin will patrol the home crease against Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

Sorokin will get the second half of the Islanders' back-to-back after David Rittich plays in Monday's road matchup against Washington. The 30-year-old Sorokin made 38 saves in Saturday's 4-3 loss to Nashville. He has gone 18-13-2 this season with six shutouts, a 2.44 GAA and a .916 save percentage through 33 appearances. Pittsburgh is tied for fifth in the league with 3.40 goals per game this campaign.

Wallstedt is dealing with an illness and is unlikely to dress against the Canadiens on Monday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Wallstedt has given up three or more goals in each of his last five contests, posting a 2-3-0 record and 4.44 GAA. The 23-year-old backstop may not have featured in Monday's game anyway, so it's unlikely he is missing a start. Filip Gustavsson will get the nod versus the Habs while Cal Petersen could be called up from the minors to serve as the backup.

Stevenson will defend the home crease against the Islanders on Monday, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.

Stevenson made his first start of the season for the Capitals at home against Carolina on Saturday, turning aside 19 of 22 shots (.864 save percentage) in a 4-3 overtime victory, marking his first win at the NHL level. He'll have a more favorable matchup against the Islanders, who are scoring 2.84 goals per game this year, which is the ninth-worst mark in the league.

Thompson (upper body) will not be in action versus the Islanders on Monday, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.

According to Silber, the Capitals are hoping that Thompson can suit up against the Predators on Thursday. With Clay Stevenson getting the nod at home Monday, fantasy managers should probably expect Garin Bjorklund to make his NHL debut in Tuesday's matchup against the Flyers. As such, Thompson figures to miss both ends of Washington's back-to-back.

Chabot (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision versus the Penguins on Monday, Jackson Starr of the Senators' official site reports.

Chabot has failed to find the back of the net in his last eight outings, but he has racked up six helpers over that stretch. Despite averaging 2:14 of power-play ice time per game this season, the 29-year-old Quebec native has recorded just six of his 22 points with the man advantage.

Ullmark will defend the road net against Pittsburgh on Monday, Jackson Starr of the Senators' official site reports.

Ullmark is coming off a 26-save performance in Saturday's 4-1 win over New Jersey. He has posted a 15-8-5 record this season with a 2.89 GAA and an .884 save percentage across 29 appearances. Pittsburgh is tied for fifth in the league with 3.40 goals per game this campaign.

Rittich was the first goalie off during Monday's morning skate, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports, indicating that he'll draw the road start against Washington.

Rittich has seen limited playing time in recent weeks, but he'll tend the twine in the first half of a back-to-back set Monday. Across six appearances in January, he went 2-3-1 with a 3.31 GAA and .838 save percentage. The Capitals are generating 3.18 goals per game this year, which is tied for 14th in the league.
