Owen Power D | BUF
Sabres' Owen Power: Tallies goal in loss
Power scored a goal on six shots and blocked two shots in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Canadiens.
Power ended his 24-game goal drought with the tally. In that span, he was limited to seven assists, but he added 37 shots on net and a plus-10 rating. The 23-year-old defenseman hasn't stepped up much this season with four goals, 16 points, 83 shots on net, 51 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 53 outings. He's still playing a big role in the top four, and he's doing enough defensively to help the Sabres stay in the tight playoff race.

Noah Dobson D | MON
Canadiens' Noah Dobson: Gathers two helpers
Dobson logged a pair of assists, four shots on goal, two hits, two blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-3 rating in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Sabres.
Dobson filled the stat sheet with a strong performance to end January. The defenseman put up eight points, 35 shots on net, 40 blocks and 17 hits over 16 outings for the month, and it's a testament to his skills that that production looks a little low. Overall, Dobson is at 35 points, 110 shots on net, 135 blocks and a plus-10 rating across 55 appearances in his first year with the Canadiens.

Nick Suzuki C | MON
Canadiens' Nick Suzuki: Sends pair of assists
Suzuki logged two assists, two shots on goal and a plus-3 rating in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Sabres.
One of Suzuki's helpers came on the power play. This was his seventh multi-point effort in the last 10 games, a span in which he has four goals and 12 assists. For the season, the 26-year-old is up to 64 points (18 goals, 46 helpers), 118 shots on net, 43 hits, 47 blocked shots and a plus-26 rating through 55 appearances. Suzuki is on track to reach the 90-point mark for the first time in his career.

Oliver Kapanen C | MON
Canadiens' Oliver Kapanen: Fills empty net
Kapanen scored an empty-net goal on two shots and blocked two shots in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Sabres.
Kapanen ended an eight-game goal drought with the empty-netter. The 22-year-old rookie has earned three points over his last two contests to break out of a slump. For the season, he has produced 17 goals, 13 helpers, 97 shots on net, 55 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 55 outings, primarily in a second-line role.

Troy Terry RW | ANA
Ducks' Troy Terry: Removed from IR
Terry (upper body) was activated from injured reserve Sunday, per the NHL media site.
In a corresponding move, the Ducks placed Leo Carlsson (thigh) on injured reserve. After missing the last 11 games, Terry should return to the lineup against Vegas on Sunday. He has compiled 13 goals, 42 points and 103 shots on net in 43 appearances this season.

Kurtis MacDermid LW | OTT
Senators' Kurtis MacDermid: Playing time still limited
MacDermid didn't appear in any of the Senators' games in January.
That's 16 straight contests in the press box for the enforcer. MacDermid had an assist, five hits and 17 PIM over eight outings in December when he logged more consistent playing time. He's at 33 PIM, 13 hits and a minus-3 rating over 16 contests this season. MacDermid is a non-fantasy player even when he's in a full-time role, as he offers far too little offense.

Leo Carlsson C | ANA
Ducks' Leo Carlsson: Moves to IR
Carlsson (thigh) was placed on injured reserve by the Ducks on Sunday, according to the NHL media site.
This move doesn't really change much about the timeline for Carlsson, who has missed the last nine games due to a thigh injury and has already been ruled out for the Olympics. In a corresponding move, Troy Terry (upper body) will return to the lineup for the Ducks against the Golden Knights on Sunday. Carlsson has 44 points (18 goals, 26 assists) in 44 games on the season.

Eetu Luostarinen C | FLA
Panthers' Eetu Luostarinen: Opens scoring in loss
Luostarinen scored a goal on two shots, added three hits and blocked two shots in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Jets.
Luostarinen has earned two goals and two assists over his last seven games. The 27-year-old winger has played on the top line lately due to the absences of Anton Lundell (upper body) and Brad Marchand (undisclosed), which have left the Panthers a little thin up front. Luostarinen is at 23 points, 72 shots on net, 93 hits, 38 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 46 contests this season. He's on track to reach the 30-point mark for just the second time in his career.

Gustav Nyquist RW | WPG
Jets' Gustav Nyquist: Garners assist Saturday
Nyquist logged an assist in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Panthers.
Nyquist logged just two helpers in four appearances during January. His struggles this season have been obvious, leaving him as a regular healthy scratch as the Jets try to right the ship. The 36-year-old winger is at nine helpers, 41 shots on net, 19 hits, 15 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating through just 33 outings. Nyquist isn't guaranteed to be in the lineup, and he has often played on the fourth line lately when he suits up.

Cole Perfetti C | WPG
Jets' Cole Perfetti: Scores equalizer
Perfetti scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Panthers.
Perfetti has been limited to two goals over his last nine outings. The 24-year-old has struggled to string together strong performances this season, but that's been a common theme for the Jets as a whole, outside of the top line and Josh Morrissey. Perfetti is at five goals, 16 points, 72 shots on net, 31 hits and a minus-8 rating over 40 appearances, mainly in a second-line role.
