Anton Forsberg G | LA
Kings' Anton Forsberg: Tending twine Sunday
Forsberg will be between the pipes for Sunday's road matchup against Carolina, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.
Forsberg will get the second half of the Kings' back-to-back after Darcy Kuemper played in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over Philadelphia. The 33-year-old Forsberg has a 9-6-4 record with a 2.48 GAA, a .910 save percentage and one shutout through 20 appearances this season. Carolina ranks fifth in the league with 3.41 goals per game in the 2025-26 campaign.

Justin Kirkland LW | CGY
Flames' Justin Kirkland: Placed on waivers
Kirkland was placed on waivers by the Flames, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports Sunday.
Kirkland has appeared in 20 games this season, posting one goal and one assist in those contests. However, he was a scratch Saturday night and now the 29-year-old is hitting waivers Sunday. If he clears, he's likely to report to AHL Calgary, where he has seven points (five goals, two assists) in 14 games.

Braden Schneider D | NYR
Rangers' Braden Schneider: Logs helper Saturday
Schneider notched an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Penguins.
Schneider has three helpers over his last eight outings. The 24-year-old defenseman is seeing steady top-four minutes, mainly as a defensive presence, while Adam Fox (lower body) remains out. Schneider is up to 11 points, 74 shots on net, 120 hits, 89 blocked shots and a minus-14 rating through 56 appearances. His physicality gives him some appeal in deep fantasy formats, but he's on pace for his lowest-scoring season since his rookie year of 2021-22.

Jonny Brodzinski C | NYR
Rangers' Jonny Brodzinski: Chips in with helper
Brodzinski registered an assist and two PIM in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Penguins.
Brodzinski has played in two of the last five games. He was set to be a regular healthy scratch for a while, but the Rangers have sat out Artemi Panarin ahead of an anticipated trade, allowing Brodzinski to check in as a bottom-six forward. For the season, Brodzinski is at 10 points, 37 shots on net, 28 hits, 10 PIM and a minus-5 rating across 38 outings, so he'll continue to have limited fantasy appeal.

Will Cuylle LW | NYR
Rangers' Will Cuylle: Scores late in loss
Cuylle scored a goal on three shots, added two PIM and doled out five hits in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Penguins.
Cuylle's goal came with just under 11 seconds left in the third period, but the Rangers weren't able to complete a late comeback attempt. The winger has three goals and an assist over his last eight outings. Cuylle is poised to be a full-time top-six forward going forward -- Artemi Panarin has one foot out the door as the Rangers pursue a trade. The 23-year-old Cuylle has racked up 13 goals, 27 points, 105 shots, 198 hits, 56 blocked shots, 39 PIM and a minus-18 rating over 56 appearances.

Calvin Pickard G | EDM
Oilers' Calvin Pickard: Lands on waivers
Pickard was placed on waivers Sunday.
Pickard has a 5-6-2 record with a 3.68 GAA and an .871 save percentage in 16 appearances for the Oilers this season. Assuming he clears waivers, the 33-year-old netminder will probably head to AHL Bakersfield. With Pickard poised to lose his roster spot, Edmonton will go with Tristan Jarry and Connor Ingram as its two goaltenders.

Erik Karlsson D | PIT
Penguins' Erik Karlsson: Earns 700th career assist
Karlsson registered an assist and three shots on goal in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Rangers.
The helper was Karlsson's 700th career assist. The 35-year-old defenseman reached the 900-point mark earlier in January, putting him within 100 points of becoming the ninth defenseman in NHL history to record 1,000 regular-season points. The assist was Karlsson's first point in four contests since he returned from a lower-body injury. He's at 34 points, 100 shots on net, 42 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 48 appearances this season.
-
Connor Dewar C | PIT
Penguins' Connor Dewar: Earns two helpers in win
Dewar logged two assists, four hits and a plus-3 rating in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Rangers.
Dewar has multiple points in three of his last six games, producing four goals, two assists, 10 shots, 19 hits and a plus-8 rating. The 26-year-old is still on the fourth line, but something has clicked for his trio with Blake Lizotte and Noel Acciari lately. Dewar has a career-high 23 points with 80 shots on net, 99 hits, 25 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating through 53 appearances.
-
Blake Lizotte C | PIT
Penguins' Blake Lizotte: Earns two assists
Lizotte notched two assists and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Rangers.
Lizotte has three two-assist outings in the last six games, though he's added just four shots on net and a plus-4 rating in that span. The Penguins are getting valuable depth scoring out of the fourth-line trio of Lizotte flanked by Noel Acciari and Connor Dewar. Lizotte is now at 17 points, 42 shots on net, 36 hits, 23 blocked shots, 21 PIM and a plus-10 rating through 44 appearances, putting him on track to surpass his total of 20 points from 59 outings last season.

Benjamin Kindel C | PIT
Penguins' Ben Kindel: Pots empty-netter Saturday
Kindel scored an empty-net goal on five shots in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Rangers.
Kindel's empty-netter ended up being important, as the Rangers scored twice after that goal to pull within one. This was Kindel's second career game-winner, and he's up to 12 goals, 25 points, 103 shots on net, 43 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating through 50 appearances. The 18-year-old ended January hot with four goals and an assist over his last three contests.
