Timo Meier RW | NJ
Devils' Timo Meier: Scores lone goal in loss
Meier tallied a goal, placed three shots on net and dished out five hits in Saturday's 4-1 loss to Ottawa.
Meier placed the lone blemish on Linus Ullmark's triumphant return for Ottawa with a goal late in the first period. Overall, Meier is up to 14 goals, 28 points, 169 shots on net, 89 hits and 32 blocked shots across 50 appearances this season. Despite his slow start to the new year offensively, the 29-year-old winger has remained involved with a steady stream of category-coverage stats. While Meier's fantasy value is fading in standard fantasy leagues, his 169 shots on goal rank 16th in the NHL, making him a solid option in category-based leagues.

Jake Sanderson D | OTT
Senators' Jake Sanderson: Plates two helpers in win
Sanderson recorded two assists, placed two shots on net and recorded three blocked shots in Saturday's 4-1 win over New Jersey.
Sanderson was heavily involved in the third period, as he recorded a power-play assist just 37 seconds into the period before later assisting Shane Pinto's empty-net goal. The pair of helpers bring Sanderson up to 34 assists and 44 points, to go with 114 shots on net and 107 blocked shots across 54 games this season. The 23-year-old blueliner is currently tied for seventh in points among NHL defensemen and hasn't shown any signs of slowing down, with 11 points in his last nine games. Sanderson is on track to shatter his career best of 57 points, which he compiled across 80 regular-season games a year ago, making him a high-level fantasy option in all league formats.

Shane Pinto C | OTT
Senators' Shane Pinto: Strikes empty-netter
Pinto scored an empty-net goal and put three shots on net in Saturday's 4-1 win over New Jersey.
Pinto placed the bow atop Saturday's 4-1 win with his empty-net goal with just over one minute remaining in the contest. Through 44 games this season, the 25-year-old center is up to 15 goals, 27 points, 95 shots on net, 52 hits and 26 blocked shots. While his numbers don't immediately jump off the page, Pinto has taken a step forward this season while skating over one minute more per game than a season ago. From his secondary power-play usage to solid category coverage, the young center holds plenty of reasons to maintain a middle-six role for the remainder of the regular season. He has a strong chance to surpass the 37 points he posted in 70 regular-season games a year ago, which bodes well for his fantasy stock in category-based leagues.

Sergei Bobrovsky G | FLA
Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Gets little help in Saturday's loss
Bobrovsky turned aside 19 shots in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Jets.
The veteran netminder blanked the visitors through the first 40 minutes, but after the Panthers' offense wasn't able to get much going through the first two frames, their defense collapsed as well in the third. Since a nine-goal disaster against the Hurricanes on Jan. 16, Bobrovsky has rallied somewhat, but he's still gone just 1-3-0 over his last four starts with a 2.75 GAA and .875 save percentage while working in a strict timeshare with Daniil Tarasov, who has a 3-1-0 record, 2.21 GAA and .905 save percentage over that same stretch.

Mark Scheifele C | WPG
Jets' Mark Scheifele: Pots winner against Panthers
Scheifele scored the game-winning goal in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Florida.
The Jets headed into the third period down 1-0, but Scheifele completed the comeback with just over four minutes left on a tic-tac-toe passing sequence with Kyle Connor and Gustav Nyquist. Scheifele heads into February with a huge head of steam, racking up seven goals and 17 points over the last 13 games.

Tim Stutzle LW | OTT
Senators' Tim Stutzle: One of each in win
Stutzle scored a goal, registered an assist and fired five shots on net in Saturday's 4-1 win over New Jersey.
Stutzle extended his point streak to four games Saturday when he picked up a secondary helper on Brady Tkachuk's power-play goal in the first period. Stutzle later scored at even strength for a tally in the third period that ultimately put the game away. Overall, the 24-year-old center is up to 25 goals, 32 assists, 137 shots on net, 87 hits and 35 blocked shots across 54 games this season. With 28 games remaining on Ottawa's regular-season schedule, the star center has a chance to reach the 90-point mark for the second time in his six-year NHL career. Regardless of where the point total falls at the end of the season, Stutzle is bound to turn in another fantastic campaign while covering a bundle of stat categories along the way for fantasy purposes.

Tanner Howe LW | PIT
Penguins' Tanner Howe: Loaned to AHL affiliate
Howe (knee) was reassigned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Sunday.
Howe underwent ACL reconstruction surgery last April and started the 2025-26 campaign on non-roster injured reserve. However, his demotion to the AHL indicates he is ready to resume playing. Howe had 18 goals and 46 points in 47 games between Regina and Calgary during the 2024-25 WHL regular season.

Rickard Rakell C | PIT
Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Two-point effort in win
Rakell scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Rangers.
After helping to set up Anthony Mantha's second tally of the game in the second period, Rakell gave the Pens a 4-1 lead just 80 seconds into the third as he flipped a rebound past Jonathan Quick. Rakell got onto the scoresheet in six of the final eight games in January, collecting four goals and seven points over that stretch, but Saturday's power-play goal was his first since Dec. 21.
